My father sold me to the Mafia King

Chapter 84:

Olivia’s Point of View

Shock was etched on Julie’s features, and her facial muscles tightened as she replied in a tone she tried to keep firm:

”And why would I complain to him? I can defend myself on my own.”

I lowered my eyelids slightly, a meaningful smile forming on my lips, and said to her with a stinging calmness:

”Good... because complaining to him would mean a tacit admission that you are his property.”

I saw her jaw clench clearly, as if she were chewing on angry words she didn’t dare let out, then she muttered:

”What is this madness?”

I didn’t give her a chance to argue; I adjusted my posture, standing straight, and moved toward the door with confident steps, throwing the word over my shoulder:

”Follow me.”

She froze in place and replied stubbornly:

”I won’t.”

I stopped and turned to her with a defiant look, asking coldly:

”Are you afraid?”

She didn’t answer with words at first; instead, the veins in her neck bulged as she clenched her fists, then said:

”I am not.”

She rose from the bed and walked behind me with wary steps.

We went out into the long corridor, and our silence was only broken by the echo of our shoes on the floor.

I stopped in front of a specific room door and reached into my pocket to pull out the key, but I froze in place when I heard her calm voice behind me:

”What are we doing at Sarah’s room?”

At that moment, I felt as if the blood had drained from my veins all at once.

A chill ran through my limbs; impossible! How does this girl know ”Sarah”?

I turned toward her quickly, my body stiff, and asked in a sharp tone:

”How do you know her?”

She averted her gaze from me and said with utter coldness:

”I entered her room that day.”

I swallowed hard; there were many questions crowding my head, and I wanted to hear the answers from both of them now.

I turned the key and opened the door, then gestured with my chin, saying:

”Go on... get in.”

That damned Sarah was sitting inside, fully elegant and made up as if she were waiting for a royal visit—as if Robert knocks on her door every night, while the bitter truth is that he only passes by here once a week.

As soon as we entered, Sarah stood up slowly, glancing at us with a cautious look, and said:

”What is happening here?”

I fixed my burning gaze on Sarah’s eyes and said in a voice that came out like a snake’s hiss:

”I am the one who should ask that question, Sarah.”

Sarah’s gaze shifted suspiciously between me and Julie, as if she were trying to read what was going on in my head, so I continued sharply:

”How do you know each other?”

Sarah slowly raised her hand to caress her blonde hair and replied with a provocative coldness:

”I don’t know her... she broke into my room one day, and I was surprised by her presence.”

At that moment, Julie placed her hand on her hip and leaned toward me, narrowing her eyes and saying:

”What are you trying to do, Olivia? And why are we here anyway?”

I ignored Julie completely; I knew I wouldn’t extract the truth from that damned Sarah’s tongue easily, so I went back to questioning her in an interrogative tone:

”And how did Julie get into your place?”

Sarah replied while turning her face away:

”She opened the door with the key.”

The tape of my memories passed quickly before me; I remembered the moment Robert ordered me to give Julie her room key... How did I not realize it?

My fingers cramped behind my back, and I said to myself: ’You pig, you really are clever.’

Then I turned my gaze toward Julie and said bitterly:

”So that’s it... a clever bitch.”

Julie’s body stiffened completely, and her jaw clenched visibly as she exploded in agitation:

”Olivia! Watch your words carefully.”

I averted my gaze from her and began to walk with measured steps toward Sarah, then suddenly asked her:

”And now, Sarah... if I were to hit you right now, what would you do?”

Shock appeared on Sarah’s features, and her eyebrows rose in surprise as she whispered:

”What is the reason for this nonsense now, Olivia?”

I clenched my teeth until they almost shattered, and said firmly:

”Answer!”

Sarah leaned her back, sitting on her chair with pride while crossing her legs in a calculated movement to provoke me, and said:

”You know the answer very well.”

I felt an overwhelming desire to pounce on her and pluck her golden hair strands one by one, but I held myself together and hid my anger behind a lethal, calm tone:

”Sarah... answer.”

Sarah’s eyes gleamed with malicious pleasure, and she said with relish:

”I would tell Mr. Robert immediately.”

I asked:

”And why?”

Sarah looked at me with a lack of comprehension, so I continued as if explaining a lesson:

”Explain to Julie... why would you tell Mr. Robert?”

Julie’s gaze shifted between us in total confusion, as if she were trying to decode this futile conversation, so Sarah answered haughtily:

”Simply... because I am his property, and because he protects me in exchange for the pleasure I provide him.”

I asked her again:

”And if another girl were to be hit in this place... what would happen?”

Sarah shrugged her shoulders with indifference:

”Nothing... because they simply don’t have my immunity.”

Julie let out a sarcastic laugh, raising her hands in the air and moving them with an expression of boredom:

”Immunity? What on earth am I doing here listening to this nonsense?”

Her words didn’t hang in the air for long; I rushed toward her like lightning, and a resounding sound rang out... Splash... a powerful slap that shook the corners of the room.

Julie recoiled and fell to the floor with force, cowering as she held her burning cheek, rubbing the place of pain with trembling fingers, trying to process the shock, while Sarah remained frozen in her place, her mouth open in disbelief as she watched what happened.
