Hidden Marriage, Overbearing Love: Mr! Please Let Me Go

”Sister Huan,” she walked into the kitchen, watching Sister Huan wash the dishes in the sink, ”Sister Huan, let me do it.” Seeing Sister Huan’s hands, roughened by years of work, she felt a bit heartache.

Sister Huan quickly stopped her, saying: ”Miss Xia, please don’t do this, these are my duties.”

They all knew about the subtle relationship between Xia Qingqian and the Young Master, so they dared not neglect her, let alone let her do such chores. Xia Qingqian was worlds apart from the Young Master’s previous women; others couldn’t compare to her, just because of her kind heart.

”It’s okay, Sister Huan, let me do it.” She smiled gently, her eyes full of concern, ”It seems like it’s going to rain recently. Are your joints starting to ache? You really shouldn’t touch water often, go rest for a while.”

Without a word, she pushed Sister Huan out of the kitchen, went to the medical room to get a bottle of rheumatism medicine, opened the cap, pulled up Sister Huan’s pant leg, poured some of the liquid into her palm, and began to massage Sister Huan’s knee and other places.

”Sister Huan, if you have any issues, just speak up, I think the Young Master wouldn’t be so harsh on you all. Rheumatism is really unbearable, don’t try to endure it, okay?” She naturally knew how torturous rheumatism could be. When it rained, or if one stayed in water for too long, every bone felt like it was being gnawed by countless ants— that ache was a real test of one’s willpower.

”Haha, Miss Xia, I’m fine, these are old issues.” Sister Huan couldn’t take it anymore, her nose turned sour, and she reached out to hold Xia Qingqian’s hand, tears brimming in her eyes, ”Miss Xia, thank you so much.”

Xia Qingqian just pursed her lips and smiled softly, looking at Sister Huan, her gentle gaze telling her there was no need to be so polite, and she continued to diligently apply the medicine on Sister Huan.

Sister Huan looked at Xia Qingqian’s elegant and beautiful face, thinking she appeared even more beautiful than when she first arrived, her elegant aura becoming more and more captivating.

”Miss Xia, having you by the Young Master’s side is truly his blessing. I’m happy for him for finding such a good girl,” Sister Huan said softly, looking at Xia Qingqian.

”Sister Huan, don’t say that. The Young Master and I are temporary, and not as you all think. Thank you for saying that.” Truly, she was grateful that the servants around Beitang Yao didn’t reject her and held her in high regard; just for that, she was already very satisfied.

She thought, surely Beitang Yao’s family didn’t like her. Yesterday, when they returned to the country and Beitang Yao’s father suddenly appeared, she couldn’t help but feel at a loss. From the way Mr. Beitang looked at her, she knew he didn’t like her being around Beitang Yao.

”You’re a kind girl; you’ll surely be happy. And we all can see, you hold a special place for the Young Master.” Sister Huan’s heart felt comforted, maybe because Xia Qingqian had applied medicine for her.

Haha, of course, she held a special place. Their relationship wasn’t as common folks saw it; even she herself doubted what it truly was.

”Thank you, Sister Huan.” As she said this, she had also finished, ”Sister Huan, go and rest, leave the kitchen work to me.”

”Miss Xia, letting you cook is already an imposition, how can I let you do these chores too? Besides, there are other servants in the house, let them do it.” Sister Huan felt even more favorable towards Xia Qingqian, realizing she didn’t mind doing such work.
