Hidden Marriage, Overbearing Love: Mr! Please Let Me Go

Chapter 817: Chapter 818: Let Her Give It a Try

Beitang Yao’s expression was dark, and his gaze grew even colder. It was absurd for a president like him to be troubled over the stay or departure of an employee! It was all because he hadn’t driven away the other men around Miss Cheng, making her solely his work machine.

Looking at Xia Qingqian, whom Ye Feng strongly recommended, Beitang Yao still couldn’t believe in her abilities. How could her frail body possibly compare to Miss Cheng, the female powerhouse? If only she had a third of Miss Cheng’s capability and efficiency, she could indeed be kept around for observation.

She was just a university student who hadn’t stepped out of the campus, with nothing but bookish theories and no work experience to speak of. How could he trust her? Besides, she was just a toy for him.

”Young Master, I can do it. As long as you give me this opportunity, I will definitely try my best.” Xia Qingqian quickly reassured him, hoping he would believe in her once, upon seeing Beitang Yao’s doubtful look filled with skepticism.

Ye Feng, seeing her potential, also tried persuading, ”Young Master, Miss Cheng got married yesterday; she is certainly determined to find her happiness. Why not let Xia Qingqian take over her position?”

”Get me an internally qualified person,” Beitang Yao said, not considering Xia Qingqian to enter Beitang Group.

”Young Master, that’s not possible. Each department’s duties are very detailed, and any random personnel shift would affect operations.” Ye Feng’s words, seventy percent were in favor of Xia Qingqian, leaving the young master with no choice.

Beitang Yao got angry, ”In such a large group, is there no one suitable?” He suddenly felt as if Ye Feng was deliberately playing with him.

”Young Master, it is the peak season now, and the company is busy. If Miss Cheng doesn’t return, hiring a new secretary will be the only option.” Ye Feng handed Beitang Yao the coat in his hand.

Beitang Yao sighed softly, taking the coat and putting it on gracefully.

The warm sunlight streamed through the sleek floor-to-ceiling glass window, lazily spilling over Beitang Yao, instantly bathing him in a golden glow.

”I give you one day to let her quickly get familiar with all the work processes, and if there are any mistakes, I will deduct three months’ salary and bonuses from you.” Beitang Yao said reluctantly while buttoning his suit jacket.

”Yes, Young Master.” Ye Feng slightly bowed.

Hearing this, Xia Qingqian was overjoyed and almost wanted to leap forward to shake Beitang Yao’s hand in gratitude.

However, she remained calmly standing, glanced at Ye Feng, and then looked sincerely at Beitang Yao, bowing, ”Thank you, Young Master, I will definitely do my best.” At this moment, her cheeks flushed with a light blush, rendering her so enchanting.

As Beitang Yao turned to leave the living room, his peripheral vision caught Xia Qingqian smiling foolishly, like a child who’d tasted honey, her cheeks rosy like a sweet peach. Suddenly, a tranquil warmth flowed through his heart.

”Ye Feng, take her to buy a few sets of professional attire first. I want to see a secretary with both competence and professional aura.” Beitang Yao glanced at Xia Qingqian’s lace dress, which made her look like a rich lady. How was she supposed to work like that?
