Hidden Marriage, Overbearing Love: Mr! Please Let Me Go

Chapter 816: Chapter 817: My Servant, Not as Good as You?

At that moment, Night Wind glanced at Beitang Yao, who sat silently on the sofa. Beitang Yao’s pale face remained so aloof, as if he hadn’t listened to a word of Night Wind and Xia Qingqian’s conversation.

Beitang Yao sensed Night Wind’s questioning gaze, and gently lifted his eyes, signaling Night Wind to continue.

Receiving the cue, Night Wind continued to converse with Xia Qingqian in the language she was familiar with.

Xia Qingqian seemed to be standing on a high, suspended wire, not daring to move forward, always standing afar, desperately clutching the rope to avoid falling into an abyss.

After everything ended, Xia Qingqian asked, ”Night Wind Housekeeper, what kind of job do you think is suitable for me? I can clean the whole villa, cook and do laundry, as long as I don’t have to stay here like a useless person.”

She really didn’t expect that even being a servant in this villa would require such high standards, needing to be proficient in public relations, planning project proposals, scheduling, and various minor languages. Getting in here is truly more difficult than entering a foreign enterprise.

She only hoped that once she started working, she would have a reason to avoid Beitang Yao.

”Are you saying that the servants I train don’t perform as well as you do?” Night Wind touched his chin, speaking softly.

At this moment, Xia Qingqian felt several ominous glances directed at her, which frightened her into a shiver. She shook her head and waved her hands hurriedly, ”Night Wind Housekeeper, I didn’t mean that. I meant you could assign me any job.” Her expression was extremely rich.

”The decision belongs to the Young Master.” Night Wind said with considerable difficulty, not forgetting to look at Beitang Yao. Actually, Night Wind quite recognized and appreciated Xia Qingqian’s talents, but the position must pass through the Young Master’s decision.

He could only say a few good words for her in front of the Young Master, as all authority lay with the Young Master. As long as the Young Master was willing, no problem would be insurmountable.

Upon hearing this, Xia Qingqian pursed her lips and frowned, her eyes full of yearning fell upon Beitang Yao, hoping he would show mercy and allow her a job. As Beitang Yao stood up and walked toward the floor-to-ceiling glass, his detached voice echoed in the grand hall, ”Night Wind, is Miss Cheng truly unwilling to retract her resignation letter?”

Beitang Yao just wanted to confirm again. Miss Cheng was his capable secretary, handling his daily workflows, proposal planning, and public relations. A couple of days ago, she suddenly presented a resignation letter, which gave Beitang Yao a headache. It’s not that the company wouldn’t operate without her; it’s because he preferred employees like Miss Cheng, who focused on work, instead of those infatuated starry-eyed women drooling over his handsome face or those brainless women trying to seduce him.

”Miss Cheng is resolute.” Night Wind nodded, speaking lightly.

Beitang Yao’s narrow phoenix eyes were coldly directed at Night Wind, as if a shadow in the night, ”Go deal with Miss Cheng’s fiancé, then have her continue to come back to work, with a salary three times higher.”

This is Beitang Yao’s style; once he recognizes something can benefit him, he spares no expense to obtain it.

Night Wind was frightened, cold sweat broke out on his back. He lightly furrowed his brow, ”Young Master, would you consider Miss Xia instead? I believe she can fulfill the duties of the position.” He didn’t stop there but further added, ”If it truly doesn’t work, we can always ask Miss Cheng back after she has her baby.”
