With a piercing scream, Lin Tian was interrupted before he could finish speaking.

Then, a slim and tall figure emerged from behind Huangfu Juunrong.

The girl looked to be about eighteen or nineteen, only one or two years older than Huangfu Juunrong.

Her long hair cascaded over her shoulders.

She had a delicate face with no makeup, wearing a vertically striped tight sports outfit, a duckbill cap on her head, and a pair of white sneakers on her feet.

She appeared youthful and vibrant.

As Lin Tian saw the girl clearly, his mouth slightly opened in astonishment.

This girl was none other than Yan Yanxin, who had almost relieved herself on Lin Tian’s head before!

After she spoke to Huangfu Juunrong, Yan Yanxin couldn’t help but glower at Lin Tian, her beautiful eyes filled with uncontrollable shame and anger.

But, thinking back to when Lin Tian had thrown Wu Gui and He Wei up into the trees with terrifying skills in the forest, she dared not say anything more, feeling a subconscious fear.

She couldn’t be sure if Lin Tian would suddenly lash out at her too.

If he ended up hanging her on a utility pole, how mortifying that would be!

A jerk and a thug?

Confusion appeared on Huangfu Juunrong’s face as she looked between the two and finally said to Yan Yanxin, “Xinxin, why are you calling Lin Tian a thug?

He has helped me, my grandfather, and our home.

It’s a huge favor!

Naughty girl, you had a bet with me that if I managed to deliver food to a guy for a week, you’d lose.

Now, you’ve lost, no backing out, you must agree to my condition!”

“Humph, little Rongrong, when have I ever reneged on our deals?

As a chivalrous woman, I need no deceit!”

At this moment, Yan Yanxin shed her earlier panic seen in the forest, showing a more playful and feisty attitude.

Pouting her lips and speaking in an old-fashioned mixed tone, she said discontentedly, “But, before I agree to your condition, you must tell me if you were forced by this jerk and thug to deliver breakfast or if he has something on you?

Don’t be scared, just tell me, and we’ll call the police right away!

No matter how powerful he is, I don’t believe there’s no justice…”

“Wait!

Hold on!”

Seeing Yan Yanxin getting more and more outrageous, Lin Tian hurriedly interrupted her, and with a twisted mouth said, “I say, beauty, how am I a thug exactly?

…”

“Shut your mouth!”

Hearing Lin Tian’s words and sensing something amiss, Yan Yanxin quickly cut him off, glaring at him, “I wasn’t asking you!”

“Xinxin, how could you think this way?

Did you and Brother Lin Tian have some misunderstanding?”

Huangfu Juunrong blinked her beautiful eyes, staring at Yan Yanxin with a scrutinizing and probing look, “If something happened, tell me, we’ll sort it all out!”

“No, no!”

Yan Yanxin’s complexion slightly changed as she quickly waved her hands, and her head shook like a tambourine.

Relieving herself in the forest and accidentally being seen by Lin Tian—if this story got out, it would be utterly humiliating.

It was one thing for Wu Gui and others to know, given her status, they probably wouldn’t dare to speak recklessly.

And for such a matter, the fewer people that knew, the better.

“It’s good that there’s nothing.

Don’t misunderstand Brother Lin Tian.

He really helped out my family a lot!

If you don’t believe it, you can ask my grandfather when you have time.

The favor I do for Brother Lin Tian has my grandfather’s approval!”

Huangfu Juunrong nodded happily and then handed the basket she was carrying to Lin Tian, saying, “Brother Lin Tian, this is your breakfast, with a new variety today.”

“Alright, Juunrong, let’s not continue this in the future!”

Watching the girl handing over the basket to him, Lin Tian hesitated a bit and could only take it, chuckling and shaking his head,

“Hehe, sure thing, no more deliveries!

Because from now on, Xinxin will be there to help Brother Lin Tian!”

Huangfu Juunrong chuckled, then looked at Yan Yanxin and said, “Starting now, until Brother Lin Tian leaves Liiu Yuan, you’ll be his nanny.

You’re responsible for everything he needs—food, clothing, shelter, transportation.

You’ve accepted the bet, fair and square!”

“Hmph, who’s scared?

Stupid girl, wait till I win next time, I’ll make it even more embarrassing for you!”

Yan Yanxin glared at Huangfu Juunrong, then turned to Lin Tian and said, “Rascal, consider yourself lucky, missy will look after you for a while.

If the other nobles of Liiu Yuan City find out about this, hehe…

you’ll definitely be less a layer of skin…”

After that, Yan Yanxin didn’t give Lin Tian a chance to react and went straight into the villa.

Only then did Lin Tian notice that the girl was carrying a backpack and dragging a suitcase.

What’s happening?

Watching helplessly as Yan Yanxin dragged a pile of luggage into the villa, Lin Tian’s face showed confusion; then he turned back and looked at Huangfu Juunrong, “What are you guys doing?”

“Brother Lin Tian, didn’t you see?

Xinxin and I made a bet.

She lost and agreed to my terms!”~

Huangfu Juunrong stuck out his tongue and chuckled, “The deal is, she becomes Brother Lin Tian’s nanny.

From now on, she’ll handle all of your daily necessities like washing clothes, cooking, and grocery shopping.

Xinxin’s one of the top beauties in Liiu Yuan City, chased by many nobles but unreachable, and now she’s willingly your nanny.

Brother Lin Tian, you should be happy!”

“What?

She’s becoming my nanny?”

Lin Tian wore a puzzled expression and then sighed, “Juunrong, stop joking!”

“I’m not joking at all.

You’re here alone without anyone to do even simple cooking; it’s great that Xinxin lost and can help you now!

I can focus on taking care of Grandpa until he fully recovers.

Brother Lin Tian, let’s leave it at that!”

Huangfu Juunrong nodded earnestly and finally waved his hand, not waiting for Lin Tian to reply, and went back to the villa on the top of Que Mountain.

“What is this all about?”

Lin Tian looked at the departing Huangfu Juunrong, glanced inside the house, and then resignedly closed the villa’s front door.

After returning to the villa, Lin Tian watched Yan Yanxin bustling around, speechless.

Yan Yanxin made a round inside the villa, her fair nose sniffing around, and then came back with a serious face, “You rascal, just stand there, don’t move!

This house is too dirty, the smell is too strong, I’ll clean it up!

Since I’ve lost the bet, I’ll keep my word, even if it means being a nanny for you, a rogue!

But, hmm, this isn’t over…”

Seeing Lin Tian standing dumbstruck, Yan Yanxin snorted and then picked up a broom and other tools to start tinkering around the house.

Lin Tian stared at her busily for a long time, then helplessly leaned against the wall, speechless, “Does this girl have a serious case of OCD?

This villa has always been clean, what’s dirty?”

At that moment, just as Yan Yanxin finished her tasks, she turned to walk towards Lin Tian.

The words she next spoke almost made Lin Tian collapse, wishing he could throw her out.

“You moron, take off your shoes and clothes now!

I can smell the stench on you!

I’ll wash them…”

Yan Yanxin approached him with her hands on her hips, teeth clenched, and spat out the words.

It was unclear whether she really wanted to help Lin Tian wash his clothes willingly or was just feeling compelled to do so.

In any case, her demeanor was bustling and exuberant, her face full of resentment and anger, her beautiful eyes glaring at Lin Tian, radiating intense fury!
