One-Eyed Monster

Kadi’s Fire Tree Silver Flower was playing an unexpected role. This method connected everyone, but it only shared everyone’s perspective. Everyone still couldn’t communicate. But this in itself was a small miracle.

As the Fire Tree Silver Flowers bloomed one by one, everyone was resisting the Dark Force in their own ways. They all were trying their best; some with little success, some made no progress, while others were being completely overwhelmed... However, that did not deter their determination to resist. If they did not resist before being assimilated, then they would be no better than ants. Even if their resistance yielded no results, it proved they hadn’t given up; it merely meant their own strength had limits.

Such resistance might be tinged with sorrow, but what was even more distressing was their ignorance of their companions’ actions. They regretted that they could not say goodbye to their companions on the road to the Eternal Tranquility Realm, nor were they able to save the things they cherished. But sorrow didn’t make them strong; it only plunged them deeper into a dreadful situation.

Kadi’s Fire Tree Silver Flower appeared before these solitary fighters, bringing a sense of relief akin to an ice block in the Extreme Summer. So everyone is resisting! This was like a heartwarming potion, uplifting those on the verge of collapse. So I’m not fighting alone! My companions are right here with me! In this way, everyone’s will to resist surged; even those on their last breath were filled with fighting spirit at this moment.

Kevin’s blade became faster, capable of severing anything, including thoughts. In Kevin’s heart, the blade was everything to him. If the blade survived, he survived; if the blade perished, he perished. He put in a lot of effort to cut off his opponent’s thoughts, but it was unsuccessful. This slightly discouraged him. He originally intended to solve everything with his blade, but now his own strength told him that he couldn’t sever his enemy’s thoughts. This made him a bit upset. A swift blade would suffer in such a situation; even a slight emotional fluctuation would affect the speed of the blade. Once his speed decreased, Kevin would just be an ordinary swordsman.

When the Fire Tree Silver Flower bloomed in his thoughts, Kevin was initially stunned. He suspected it was another deceptive tactic by his opponents, but upon closer examination, something felt amiss. This seems to be real! After verifying repeatedly, Kevin eventually discovered that this was not a ploy by his opponents at all; it was, in fact, their most genuine reaction at the moment.

The first, the second, the third... Gradually, all the blossoms of the Fire Tree Silver Flower bloomed. Everyone, united against this Dark Force, witnessed these scenes. They were both excited and flabbergasted. Unsure how this situation had arisen, they knew one thing: they were no longer alone. What they feared most was loneliness. Previously, they were in the dark about what they were fighting for. But now, they understood: they were fighting for freedom.

Kevin’s mouth curved upward. His hand was trembling, but he still swung faster than before. He wanted to sever everything and restore calm.

Kevin’s strike seemed to be a signal, re-energizing the monsters of Guru Mountain. Even the staff of the Alchemy Workshop grew excited. The Alchemists understood: this was the Ant Connection Spell; this was Spirit Vision Sharing! Although these Alchemists had no idea how Shared Perspective could be formed without an Alchemy Array, they were still proud that this spell was related to their Alchemy.

The most excited of all were Stan Sol and his group; they felt like they had already taken a big step and were ready to run towards the finish line. But no matter who it was, they were kind of overwhelmed at the moment. They felt that they were vastly different from Kadi. Kadi had created this condition for them, yet they didn’t know how to utilize it. Frankly, they felt they had let Kadi down.

Now, they too could sense the interconnected Spirit Power flowing through the tree branches. According to Kadi’s thinking, they should now find a way to unify everyone and then execute the final step: to create significant disruption for their enemy. That seemed to be Kadi’s plan, but now they had no idea where Kadi had gone... From beginning to end, they had no idea where Kadi was.

Kadi was currently enjoying the fun of gaining new abilities. Although this ability seemed a bit mundane, it was an ability nonetheless! He could now communicate with animals inside the cave! These animals seemed to appear out of nowhere. Kadi didn’t know what to use this ability for... There was another, even more bizarre ability: he felt as if he had completely become a tree, and he could sense this tree’s myriad changes. He could even see the scenes on every branch of the tree. The root controls the main trunk and everything else. Kadi now felt as if he *were* the root, continuously providing Energy to these branches. Of course, his most important achievement was connecting everyone together.

While Kadi had learned quite a few abilities, neither the ability to speak to animals nor resonate with trees could help him communicate with everyone. Kadi sensed this himself; he could still only communicate with Stan Sol and his small group. They were all contending with the same enemy, but they couldn’t share their insights. That was indeed the crux of the problem. Kadi couldn’t help but think about this.

”Kadi, is that you?” Stan Sol suddenly felt his thread pulsating.

By sensing the rhythm of the pulsations, Stan Sol tried to guess who could control the entire trunk. The pulsating rhythm conveyed Kadi’s message to him. Then, he started calling out.

His call gave Kadi, who had been at a loss, a new insight.

So that’s how this tree works!

Having gained another ability, Kadi felt he was about to burst with power.

”Yes, it’s me.”

”Where are you? Why can’t we see you?” Kuren also joined in.

”I *am* the tree now. I can sense everyone’s thoughts…”

This answer didn’t surprise Kuren and the others. They clung to Kadi as if he were a lifeline, unwilling to let go.

”What’s next is to communicate with everyone. Kadi, do you have a plan?” asked Stan Sol, who was also full of doubts.

”A plan?” Kadi was surprised.

Kuren and Yuga remained silent in this situation; they knew why Kadi was surprised. Kadi wasn’t one for making plans. This was an open secret on Guru Mountain, but out of respect for Kadi as their Guide, they had never openly discussed it.

Kadi’s plan was to have no plan—to take things as they came.
