One-Eyed Monster

Igor saw these intense battle scenes through the Ant Connection Spell and relayed every detail to the Great Mentor. Startled by what he heard, the Great Mentor deployed his Spirit Vision, observing everything as Igor had described. Since Igor had tracked the approximate location of the invaders, it was convenient for the Great Mentor to observe. He hadn’t even imagined the Ant Connection Spell could be used and manipulated like this! Combined with Spirit Vision, the Ant Connection Spell was like a natural Eagle Eye; they all instantly possessed an ability akin to Joseph’s! The Great Mentor was astounded. This Igor is truly a clever imp, so quick to adapt these things!

However, the sights revealed by his Spirit Vision made the Great Mentor frown… He saw the enemy’s bizarre techniques and his own children fighting tirelessly. Arnold, Simon, and even Joela and Pedro from the Alchemy Workshop were all trapped by the enemy’s peculiar methods. They were desperate to escape but had walked right into the enemy’s snare… Heavens, Igor was right! The enemy truly had set a trap, waiting for them to walk right into it!

The Great Mentor couldn’t help but admire Igor. At the same time, he felt his own age, realizing he had made many misjudgments. His heart ached. Both the members of the Alchemy Workshop and the monsters of Guru Mountain had rushed to Moonflow Stream to protect him. It was because of him that these children were now embroiled in such a bitter struggle! Now, these children were completely ensnared, utterly caught in the enemy’s trap.

As the Great Mentor, how could he just stand by and watch? He had to go to the front lines, not only to save his children but also to deliver a devastating blow to this invader!

”Young man of the Sol Family, can you teleport us to Moonflow Stream?” the Great Mentor asked, already planning to join the others in battle.

”Don’t be impulsive, Great Mentor!” Igor cautioned. ”Haven’t you always wanted to know my plan? For now, don’t make any rash moves or decisions. The time isn’t ripe yet.”

The Great Mentor fell silent. It seemed Igor had effectively taken command... But seeing the monsters from Guru Mountain and the people from the Alchemy Workshop locked in a fierce battle, the Great Mentor felt a wave of helplessness. They had all ended up in this predicament because of him, and he felt a pang of guilt. However, for the sake of the greater good, he couldn’t just abandon this mountain.

Reason ultimately triumphed over emotion. The Great Mentor knew he owed these children far too much. Only by accomplishing what he was meant to could he ever hope to repay them. Therefore, he had to compose himself. He knew these children were far stronger than their current predicament suggested. They were so desperate now only because they were burdened by their concern for him... Another reason was the enemy’s undeniable mysteriousness. Sometimes, completely rejecting Dark Force and Taboo Energy isn’t a good thing, the Great Mentor mused. Once the enemy masters a power we don’t possess, we won’t even have the strength to retaliate. This was a very serious problem. He suddenly realized that his disciple, Kuyi Tulan, was actually ahead of him in this regard.

The Great Mentor sighed. He had never imagined someone could be so devoted to Dark Force, nor had he ever seen what Dark Force truly looked like when unleashed.

They observed in silence, not making the slightest sound, their hearts filled with a burning rage. They saw Kevin draw his blade repeatedly and Milo attempt various forms of attack… However, the monster summoned by the Dark Force showed no sign of retreating. It didn’t seem to mind being completely exposed to everyone; in fact, it looked like it preferred being in front of them. This was a monster that enjoyed direct confrontation.

Igor’s advice for everyone to hold their positions was quite reasonable. After all, although they were powerful, their performance against an unknown enemy might not necessarily be better than Kevin’s or Milo’s. So, even though they were seething with anger, they couldn’t act rashly. It had to be said, the young man’s suggestion was very timely. Young Igor’s timely suggestion curbed their impulse. It’s hard to believe that such experienced individuals would almost act so impulsively...

Observing the battle with suppressed fury, they gradually began to understand the true nature of their opponent. As the saying goes, ”the onlooker sees clearly.” Being observers, they were growing confident that they understood what this enemy monster truly was.

”If this goes on, that old fellow Kevin will be in a real bind!” Kadi, who had been silent all this time, finally spoke. His extreme concern for Kevin made the others slightly uncomfortable. It was clear Kadi’s feelings for Kevin ran deep. To Kadi, Kevin was like a strict father, and seeing his ”father” in danger now made him very anxious.

”This monster is indeed powerful, but not invincible,” Igor said.

”This monster seems capable of controlling Lightning.”

”How do we fight Lightning? That kind of Natural Force is almost unbeatable!”

”That’s right. We can only evade it. A direct confrontation is almost impossible.”

”What kind of power can control even a Natural Force like this? Could it truly be a deal with a Devil?”

”So, how should we deal with this monster? It’s practically invincible right now!”

Everyone began to discuss. The power of the Black Lightning was indeed a major problem, and this monster had become a source of great consternation for them.

”I think we can attack the monster during any openings.”

”But do you even know where its weakness is? You saw Kevin’s blade, didn’t you? And Milo’s explosions! None of that worked on this thing. This monster is practically invincible!”

Some were optimistic, others cautious. Despite their burning anger, their discussion yielded no consensus, causing even the Great Mentor to frown. Let this monster continue to swagger around and show off its might? That would be unfair to Kevin and Milo. But if they rushed in to help without being absolutely sure, they might only end up bolstering the enemy’s arrogance... After mulling it over, they still found themselves in a dilemma...

”Um...” Igor, who had barely participated in the discussion, suddenly spoke up hesitantly, ”Could I offer a suggestion?”

”Hmm?” Everyone turned their heads. That familiar voice was back. Though his ideas always seemed to diverge from theirs, he had been correct every single time so far...

”I think... it’s about enough,” Igor said, looking at their expressions and feeling rather perplexed. ”Our observation, I mean.”
