Madame is Pretending to be an Academic Slacker Again!

For example, tug of war; or weightlifting; or wrestling...

How are regular girls supposed to participate?

Competing with guys in sheer strength, isn’t that inherently disadvantageous?

Qin Xin rubbed her forehead as she scanned through the list of events, finally picking one she could join.

Ao Xinghao and the others heard about Qin Xin signing up and insisted on joining too.

”Xin, isn’t it boring to compete without us?”

”Sister, I’ll be your backup, help you eliminate those weaklings, and get you on the podium!”

”I won’t allow strangers to stand next to you when you’re on the champion’s podium!”

The ridiculous reasons left her speechless.

”Suit yourselves. I’ll warn you in advance, the competitors are all gifted individuals, many of them senior students, so don’t regret it when you get schooled.” Qin Xin casually glanced at them.

During the competition, she’d have to focus on that dean’s Spirit Stone Key and certainly couldn’t spare the effort to babysit these three.

Unexpectedly, the three were unanimous: ”No regrets!”

Qin Xin: ”...”

Alright, alright, whatever.

The trio, having gained approval, began to huddle together to study the competition events.

”Ao Chongchong, I think you’d do well in weightlifting.”

”Why?”

”Because with your tiny frame, a gust of wind could blow you away; you’d definitely be knocked out in the first round, hahaha...”

”Hmph, idiot, I think you should choose wrestling.”

”Why?”

”With your uselessness, you’d be nothing more than everyone’s punching bag in the ring! Coming in dead last wouldn’t even be surprising.”

”You!”

”What? I’m only following your lead!”

While the two bickered again, Si Moyu had already chosen: ”Weightlifting. I’m picking this.”

Bai Chi and Ao Xinghao were both shocked: ”Hey, President Si, even though you’re well-built, don’t be so full of yourself, okay? Xin already said the competitors are seasoned seniors, not only stronger, but more adept with their abilities. How will you compete with them?”

It’s fair to say weightlifting demands the most strength and the least skill.

Si Moyu’s gaze darkened: ”Do you know the ten-time weightlifting champion of the Empire back in the day?”

Bai Chi and Ao Xinghao stood respectfully: ”Yes, yes, wow, could it be you?”

Si Moyu shook his head: ”Of course, it’s not me. I meant to say, the ten-time champion once uttered a famous saying: To win, play to your strengths against their weaknesses.”

Bai Chi and Ao Xinghao scoffed: ”Anyone can say that. The problem is, what are your strengths?”

Si Moyu responded cryptically: ”Humph, you kids who haven’t even matured yet obviously don’t understand my strengths!”

Bai Chi and Ao Xinghao: ”...”

Whoa, the car door’s welded shut. No one’s allowed to leave.

Hooked by Si Moyu’s words, the two were dying of curiosity.

This guy couldn’t imitate anyone else, but chose to emulate Sister Xin by maintaining an air of mystery.

Until just before the competition started, they were clueless about which event Qin Xin signed up for.

Bai Chi, being a blabbermouth, couldn’t resist announcing: ”I chose the event most suited to me—jump rope! Back then, I was the gym’s little prince; my high knees were unparalleled in the Imperial City. Ha, I’m definitely taking first in jump rope. You better cheer me on well!”

This competition is considered Divine Academy’s annual highlight; nearly all the new students attended.

The self-aggrandizing Bai Chi had the crowd of students laughing: ”...We’re not interested in watching a grown man compete in jump rope, thanks.”

Bai Chi was frustrated: ”Come on, you guys are being sexist!”
