Madame is Pretending to be an Academic Slacker Again!

Chapter 413: Chapter 413: The Final Grades Are Out! How Did Master Xin Do?

Bai Chi has been especially bored these days.

He always can’t find Nalan Ye Jue. The secretary says he’s not in the office, and there’s no one at home either. He knows Nalan Ye Jue doesn’t easily go out for social gatherings or go abroad randomly, so where could he be?

He asked Lu Yi, and Lu Yi just said three words, ”I don’t know.”

That secretive look of ”I know, but I’m not telling” is particularly annoying.

Bai Chi felt frustrated and remembered that he still hadn’t had a chance to apologize to Little Sister-in-law in person for offending her. It just so happened that he had removed Shen Bixue’s trending search recently, so he might as well go take credit for that.

Oh, right, recently Shen Bixue also booked to star in Nalan Group’s new robot endorsement commercial and the blockbuster sci-fi drama ”The Galaxy and You” at the beginning of the year. These are all major resources from Nalan Group.

He needs to quickly tip off Little Sister-in-law, so she stays alert and doesn’t let Shen Bixue cause trouble for her man.

Having made up his mind, Bai Chi turned around and sped off towards Imperial University.

Lu Yi, after sending off this young master, breathed a sigh of relief.

Where is Young Master?

Of course, Young Master is in the training room, diligently practicing how to walk with a prosthetic limb!

Where would he have time to entertain you?

＝＝

Imperial University.

The moment Bai Chi set foot on the campus, he sensed something was off.

Groups of students were gathered here and there on the campus path, passionately discussing something, and some girls were crying red-eyed.

The liveliest places were the bulletin boards of the various departments. Something had been posted there, drawing crowds of onlookers.

Bai Chi, who had studied abroad, certainly didn’t know about Imperial University’s end-of-semester tradition.

Grades need to be made public!

While encouraging the excellent, it also spurs on those who lag behind.

This is of course very harsh, as doing poorly would be quite embarrassing, and the whole school would know.

Curious, Bai Chi headed towards the bulletin board.

He saw Qin Wenrou and Yu Xiaochun among a group of girls who were unable to squeeze in to see it.

Yu Xiaochun was heard saying, ”I’m so anxious, Wenrou, I’m a bit nearsighted. I can’t see your ranking from this distance. You should still be the top female student, right?”

Qin Wenrou feigned modesty, ”Not necessarily. I actually didn’t study very hard this time. After all, I had to prepare for the piano grading exam and the New Year gala’s finale performance, which took up a lot of time, so I just kind of took the exams casually...”

Saying you worked hard to get first place is not very flattering.

If you can get first place without trying, that’s truly impressive.

For some reason, when she said this, the image of Qin Xin throwing a shot put during a sports exam flashed in her mind.

That kind of relaxed, handsome, nonchalant attitude in winning first place made people particularly envious!

Yu Xiaochun flattered her, ”Wen Rou, you’re too modest. Even without studying, you can be the top female student. After all, the Medical College hasn’t had a girl better than you in exams.”

Just then, a voice scoffed beside them.

Bai Chi, dressed in an expensive branded suit, touched his chin, ”Talking big is free, isn’t it? No one scores better than her? Have you forgotten the last scholarship competition so quickly? I don’t recall awarding her that high-priced scholarship, do you?”

This annoying Qin Wenrou made him lose face in front of Little Sister-in-law, and just seeing her annoyed him.

Seeing this affluent young master suddenly appear on campus, Qin Wenrou was both pleasantly surprised and worried.

Surprised that perhaps Young Master Bai came back to find her?

Worried that Young Master Bai might still be upset about the scholarship competition?

”Mr. Bai... Little Chun was just joking. Actually, my... my grades are just above average...” she quickly tried to remedy the situation.

However.

Bai Chi wasn’t interested in her explanation, nor did he care about her grades. Instead, he craned his neck to see over the crowd towards the bulletin board, ”Hmm, I wonder how that little wimp’s grades are doing, did they pass?”
