Madame is Pretending to be an Academic Slacker Again!

Chapter 408: Chapter 408: Young Master: How Long Does It Take to Master Advanced Moves?

What exactly made the Young Master decide to use the prosthetic aid?

Although a prosthetic aid differs from the prosthetics used by amputees, it’s not a stiff artificial leg. It’s made from high-tech materials and designed with a fixed support plate that tightens at the knee. The tension is adjusted with screws, and then a medical-grade steel bar extends along the calf to the foot. The upper part supports the waist.

The auxiliary prosthetic mainly relies on waist strength to support leg movement.

It appears almost unnoticeable under trousers.

However, no matter what, it’s still an external device mounted on the body, and it’s generally uncomfortable. Mastery requires difficult practice.

If one doesn’t master it, walking can be unsteady or may require an additional cane, making you appear more disabled than sitting in a wheelchair.

That’s why many are reluctant to use prosthetic aids.

Once a prosthetic falls, it’s even more humiliating.

Lu Yi, feeling deeply puzzled, went to the lab warehouse to gather materials and also scheduled an appointment with the finest orthopedic specialist for Nalan Ye Jue’s prosthetic aid.

With specialized service, efficiency naturally soared. After multiple precise measurements and adjustments, by evening, the prosthetic matched to Nalan Ye Jue’s physique was ready.

In the walking training room, Nalan Ye Jue slowly stood against the wall.

One second...

Two seconds...

Three seconds...

Large beads of sweat appeared on his forehead.

This device really isn’t bearable for the average person.

Each lift of the foot is an intense trial of pain.

He took the first step, slightly trembling.

Then the second step, the third step...

The doctor gaped in astonishment, continuously applauding: ”Young Master, you’re amazing. Most people need at least ten hours of practice to manage three consecutive steps...”

Nalan Ye Jue frowned: ”At this pace, how long for the average person to walk freely and perform... more challenging moves?”

The time left for him was running short.

The doctor was taken aback.

Scratching his head, ”Young Master, what precise challenging moves are you referring to?”

If he meant complex moves shared between couples, it’s significantly tough.

Nalan Ye Jue: ”Such as in-place rotation or long strides and slight jumps.”

The doctor gasped: ”Young Master, could it be that... you mean, dancing?”

Nalan Ye Jue: ”Something like that.”

The doctor shook his head vigorously: ”That requires over half a year of practice.”

Nalan Ye Jue slightly furrowed his brows, turning to Lu Yi to instruct: ”Cancel this week’s work and clear the training room. I’ll practice here for a week.”

His tone was so calm that Lu Yi dared not express his astonishment: ”...Alright!”

This workaholic Young Master not working and choosing to practice walking instead.

No, even dancing???

Lu Yi was increasingly perplexed.

Imperial University.

Sports Examination Hall.

After Qin Xin achieved a terrifying score of full marks in ten categories, she dusted off her sleeves and headed to the bathroom to wash her hands—after all, the shot put was a bit dusty. The heaviest one hadn’t been touched for months, accumulating quite a bit of dirt.

Qin Wenrou watched her casually departing figure, biting her lip in frustration and murmured: ”Little Chun, if I remember correctly, our sports scores aren’t included in the overall average at the end of the term, right?”

Yu Xiaochun nodded vigorously and replied: ”Of course! We’re not sports students, so what good is being good at sports?”

She deliberately raised her voice, fearing others wouldn’t hear, as if intentionally speaking for the distant Qin Xin’s ears.
