Madame is Pretending to be an Academic Slacker Again!

Chapter 272: Chapter 272: Young Master Personally Sends a Text to Remind About the Wedding

Everyone ate and chatted, and the topic turned to how to spend the 2 million prize money.

Everyone suggested: ”Sister Xin, last time at Q Emperor’s exhibition, we all gained something, except for you... How about you go buy a dress from Q Emperor, so you can wear it beautifully at our New Year’s ball.”

”Let’s go for a big feast and make class 1’s envy burn!”

Qin Xin lightly shook her head: ”I hope to do something more meaningful.”

She glanced at the always-silent Huo Zhen: ”I want to establish a foundation to help Tourette syndrome patients. People know too little about this condition and often mistake Tourette patients for being crazy or unattractive. I hope the foundation can promote public awareness and provide emergency medication for serious patients.”

Tourette syndrome medication is incredibly expensive and monopolized.

Only a lucky few, like Qin Xiaoshuang and Huo Zhen, can purchase medicine.

The majority suffer through the pain and torment of the disease, helpless.

Everyone was quite moved.

While they were thinking about enjoying food and drink, or buying more expensive luxury goods, little Qingxin was thinking about lending a hand and helping others.

This is truly the heart of a healer.

Just as everyone was feeling deeply moved.

Huo Zhen suddenly stood up!

”Feng Liang... how many years will he be sentenced?”

Everyone didn’t understand; wasn’t this topic already over? Why is Huo Zhen bringing this up?

Qin Xin seemed to have anticipated it and said calmly: ”With the current evidence, under Imperial law, he can be sentenced for 5 to 6 years.”

Imperial law is too lenient on academic offenders and molestation.

Huo Zhen: ”What if it’s not just regular molestation, but a rape case? With the victim testifying in court.”

Qin Xin: ”If it’s done to a minor, depending on the specifics, the maximum sentence can be the death penalty.”

Huo Zhen clenched his fists, as if making up his mind, pulling the chair and walking to the door.

Qin Xin paused for a moment and caught up with him: ”Give these materials to the prosecutor. Even if it’s not death penalty, it can make him rot in prison.”

She paused for a moment, then softly said to Huo Zhen: ”Although the cause and cure for Tourette syndrome are still unknown worldwide, there must be triggering factors. These factors are often experiences that cannot be spoken of. Huo Zhen, you must believe in yourself, sending him to prison and punishing him is healing yourself.”

Huo Zhen’s Adam’s apple moved, he nodded deeply, as if light was gleaming in his eyes.

After Huo Zhen left, everyone at the table went silent.

Everyone tacitly kept their speculations unsaid.

After a while.

Ao Xinghao whistled: ”I agree with Xin’s proposal, let’s establish a Tourette syndrome foundation.”

Hu Yi boldly raised his hand: ”I’ll donate 1 million first.”

Ao Xinghao rolled his eyes: ”Geez, I haven’t finished, I will donate 1 million first.”

Song Anjing timidly asked: ”Can I... donate 100 boxes of milk?”

Xiangxiang: ”I can do logistical work, I can cook and clean up well.”

Everyone looked at each other and smiled: ”We are the first batch of volunteers for the foundation, serving the foundation for free!”

Ao Xinghao seized the opportunity: ”How about calling the foundation ’Heart Star’?”

Song Anjing rolled his eyes: ”Nice try, don’t sneak your name in. I think ’Heart Peace’ fits better.”

Ao Xinghao: ”Heart is good, but I disagree with Peace!”

Geez, Song Anjing has risen from rival number 3 to his number 1 rival, entering a mode of competing for favor!

Each with their own opinion, everyone looked at Qin Xin: ”Sister Xin, which name do you think sounds better?”

Qin Xin was about to speak.

But her phone suddenly vibrated.

She casually glanced at it, her breath paused for a moment!

It was a message from Nalan Ye Jue.

The man’s tone was polite yet straightforward: [Miss Qin, counting down seven days to the 7th. I look forward to it.]

Damn, if not for the man’s reminder, she would almost forget she was a woman with an engagement!

Moreover, she was about to formally get engaged soon!
