Just Came Into Wealth, Now Renting with Three Flight Attendants

66: Dramatic reversal: Those with connections collectively broke down!Lu Hanxiao couldn’t believe it; how could Pan Yuyao’s performance not secure her a permanent position?

On this list of 30 successful candidates, many people clearly performed worse than her, yet they were selected.

It must be a fix, there must be a fix!

Although Lu Hanxiao had long known that the Airline Company was full of people with connections,

As long as it didn’t infringe upon her core interests, it didn’t matter.

But now, these people had taken Pan Yuyao’s spot.

Naturally, she had to demand an explanation.

At this moment, tears welled up in Pan Yuyao’s eyes.

She had thought she would be successfully promoted to a permanent position today and could continue working with Sister Xiao and the others.

As a result, the list was read, and her name wasn’t on it.

Pan Yuyao felt incredibly disheartened.

This meant not only having to find a new job, but also that their small circle of three would no longer be able to stay together.

Lu Hanxiao saw her like this from the side and felt very upset.

She gently patted Pan Yuyao’s shoulder and whispered comfortingly, ”Yuyao, don’t be too sad. Maybe the list was wrong. I’ll go ask.”

But even as she said it, Lu Hanxiao wasn’t confident; she was just an ordinary Purser and couldn’t interfere with HR’s decisions at all.

Pan Yuyao’s tears welled in her eyes. She looked up at the ceiling to keep them from falling, her voice choked with a sob: ”I clearly worked very hard, why is this happening?”

Among over 100 intern Flight Attendants, her performance was at least in the top 20s.

Her name shouldn’t be missing from this list.

Lu Hanxiao comforted Pan Yuyao for a few more sentences, just as she was about to stand up to demand an explanation.

Suddenly, there was a commotion in the crowd.

”The General Manager is here!”

Lu Hanxiao looked over. At the entrance of the lecture hall, a middle-aged man in his fifties with slightly graying temples walked in.

He walked briskly, holding several pieces of paper, towards the podium.

He was the General Manager of Airlines, Yu Dong.

The middle-level managers below, seeing that the General Manager had personally come, all stood up to greet him.

Yu Dong told them all to sit down: ”No need to be formal. I’m here for something important.”

”General Manager Yu, you’ve arrived, what are your instructions?”

The HR Manager quickly smiled and went to greet him.

General Manager Yu Dong oversaw all major and minor operations at Airlines; everything in the company ultimately had to be reported to him.

”Have you finished announcing the employment list?” Yu Dong asked.

”Yes, just finished announcing it,” the HR Manager said softly, ”This list is correct.”

Yu Dong glared at him, then signaled everyone in the lecture hall to be quiet.

”Everyone, please be quiet. The employment list just announced had some errors. The one I have in my hand is the final list!”

”Ah, what the hell is going on?”

”How can there be two different lists?”

”This list, it won’t remove my name, will it?”

The people below began to discuss.

How could a large company like Airlines, with a market value of tens of billions and thousands of employees, make such a mistake?

But looking at Yu Dong’s expression, he didn’t seem to be joking.

The two different lists made those who were selected somewhat worried, and those who weren’t selected felt new hope.

However, Pan Jinhe’s expression was very calm.

With her arms crossed, it seemed as if her name would be on the list no matter how it changed.

”Yuyao, the previous list seems to have been wrong.”

Lu Hanxiao also noticed a turn of events and quickly reminded her.

She couldn’t help but feel a little confused.

What exactly was going on with this list?

General Manager Yu Dong actually came personally to announce the final version of the list.

He wouldn’t have interfered with such a small matter before.

Could it be that some mysterious force was behind all of this?

Who could it be?

Lu Hanxiao thought it over but had no clue.

However, she remembered the last incident, the one involving Di Xiaoba.

Everyone thought Di Xiaoba was going to be fired, but not only was she not, Manager Li was fired instead.

She vaguely felt that these two incidents were not isolated.

Instead, there was some inevitable connection.

”Everyone quiet down. Next, I will announce the final version of the employment list.”

Yu Dong cleared his throat.

And began to read the list.

”This list hasn’t changed much, has it?”

”The first few names are the same as the previous one!”

The people below discovered that the list seemed to be no different.

However, after the 15th name, the list began to change.

”Number 16, Xiong Tingting!”

Yu Dong’s announcement surprised the mid-level leaders, Pursers, and interns below.

The original number 16 was not this name.

Some mid-level managers also realized that the previous number 16 was someone with connections.

”Number 27, Lin Mengyao!”

Another different name!

Everyone was in an uproar. Lin Mengyao was also an intern who performed well but was not selected.

She had good interpersonal skills in the company, and many people were still comforting her.

Suddenly hearing her name, she felt a sense of unreality.

Yu Dong continued to read until the 29th name.

There had already been four changes on the list.

They shared a common characteristic: those who were re-selected had generally performed well but were not on the previous list.

And those who were eliminated in this round had performed acceptably, but had some shortcomings.

”Strange! General Manager Yu, is this selection strictly based on performance this time?”

The audience speculated.

”Number 30.”

As Yu Dong read the name, Pan Yuyao and Lu Hanxiao’s hearts once again jumped into their throats.

Pan Yuyao even covered her ears and closed her eyes.

Afraid to face it all.

”Number 30 is, Pan Yuyao! Let’s congratulate the above 30 interns on officially becoming members of Airlines!”

As the announcement of the list concluded, the 30-person list also appeared simultaneously on the large screen in the lecture hall.

”Yuyao, you’re selected!”

Lu Hanxiao repeatedly confirmed those three words, looking several times before speaking to Pan Yuyao.

Ah?

Shaken by Sister Xiao, she looked at the big screen.

Her name was clearly on the list!

At this moment, she hadn’t yet reacted.

It felt too unreal.

”I, I’m selected?”

”Yes, Yuyao, you’re selected, that’s great!” Lu Hanxiao hugged her tightly. ”I’m going to tell Xiao Ba this good news!”

Xiong Tingting, Lin Mengyao, and several other re-selected interns also cheered incessantly.

Their hearts were full of gratitude, but they didn’t know where to express it.

However, amidst this joy, the unselected Pan Jinhe and several others shrieked: ”How is this possible? The list was already finalized, how can it be changed so casually?”

”I have connections with the Civil Aviation Administration! Do you dare to disrespect a superior unit?”

”My future father-in-law is the boss of Airlines’ largest partner!”

”My godfather has connections with the TOP7 of Jiang City’s government!”

”If the few of us are eliminated, can your Airlines bear the responsibility?”

The other interns who were removed also echoed, bringing up their powerful connections.

They were promised a permanent position, but then publicly eliminated in front of so many people—who could stand that?

Originally, they came to the Airline Company just for a ’tour’. They planned to slack off once they got in, and at worst, get pregnant and take a long maternity leave, freeloading on Airlines’ various benefits.

Airlines’ benefits are among the best of any airline in the country, and it’s stable.

Now, finding themselves eliminated, they tore off all pretense.

And began to threaten Airlines.

However, General Manager Yu Dong’s expression was calm, and he responded unhurriedly: ”I understand your feelings, but this is not my own decision, but rather the instruction of the Major Shareholder behind the scenes. As a subordinate, I naturally have to comply, so there’s no need for you to say anything more.”

Major Shareholder!

The hundreds of people in the audience were once again in an uproar.

The Major Shareholder of Airlines had never publicly appeared.

All work, at its highest, was reported to the General Manager.

Including welcoming inspections from various figures and signing business collaborations, Yu Dong was always the one to appear.

Everyone was curious about the identity of the Major Shareholder, but couldn’t guess.

The only impression was that when Li Chusheng was fired, the Major Shareholder had intervened, but still hadn’t publicly appeared.

Moreover, that incident involved an ordinary Flight Attendant.

The people below whispered to each other, fiercely speculating about this mysterious, behind-the-scenes Major Shareholder of Airlines.

”What exactly is the Major Shareholder’s identity? Everyone who was removed from this list has a very powerful background!”

”Their connections are enough to shut down Airlines!”

”Why does the Major Shareholder dare to offend so many powerful figures at once? What’s going on?”

Although they all disliked people with connections,

They were also more wary of those with connections.

Offending them would not lead to good outcomes.

For many years, everyone could only be angry but not speak out about the existence of people with connections.

They watched helplessly as they flew the best routes, didn’t have to stay up late, and didn’t have to work overtime.

But they received all the benefits they were entitled to, and their names were still on the year-end performance reviews.

With the Major Shareholder doing this, it felt like dawn was finally breaking.

Lu Hanxiao watched Yu Dong mention the Major Shareholder.

And a strong feeling also arose in her heart.

The beneficiaries of the two incidents, Di Xiaoba, Pan Yuyao, their connection... Zhang Yu!

That’s right.

Her intuition told her that Zhang Yu was the behind-the-scenes Major Shareholder of Airlines!

If this was true,

Then Zhang Yu’s identity was truly astonishing.

He was not only their Landlord but also their boss?

A dual Party A (Party A) identity.

What else could they do but kneel and call him ’Dad’?

”Sister Xiao, tell me, what’s going on?”

Pan Yuyao was still a bit confused.

She didn’t know why the Major Shareholder suddenly came out to interfere in such a small matter.

”I’m not too sure,” Lu Hanxiao shook her head. ”Perhaps the Major Shareholder felt it was important to be fair.”

”Ah? Then isn’t he afraid of having conflicts with those powerful figures?”

Pan Yuyao asked again.

”I think the Major Shareholder shouldn’t be afraid of those powerful figures in high society.”

Lu Hanxiao said this.

She felt that Zhang Yu was indeed such a person, seemingly unafraid of anything.

”Besides that, according to the Major Shareholder’s instructions, I have one more thing to announce.”

General Manager Yu Dong on the stage spoke again.
