I AM the Football Star

”Three to three! The score is tied again! Italy has once again leveled the score!”

”Qualification! Italy is going to qualify!”

”France and Italy, currently it’s France and Italy that are advancing!”

”The Italian team’s players are celebrating wildly!”

”That last goal was brilliant! Praxedes almost single-handedly shattered the entire right flank of Portugal!”

”This is the world’s number one left-back! Once the strongest player ever in this position!”

”Praxedes dribbled past three players, his footwork was dazzling! Have you ever seen such a performance?”

”Ninety percent of the credit for this goal goes to Praxedes!”

”This year, some people tried to use data to prove that Praxedes is old. But now I want to tell those people, data is crap! Data cannot explain the greatness of Praxedes at all!”

”Izalelt went to La Liga Real Madrid, and many Milan fans thought the sky was falling! But now, I want to tell you, the real pillar of AC Milan has always been there!”

”Next season, AC Milan’s goal should also be the league champion and the Champions League champion!”

”Praxedes!”

The commentator was extremely excited.

The Italy Team was incredibly resilient.

”Of course, Lu Yang’s header is also amazing. Laveran could only defend around his waist. You can imagine how high he jumped!”

”Lu Yang’s speed is very fast, like a tank. His sprint and jumping completely suppressed Laveran!”

”Laveran’s data in La Liga is actually quite good. He is a rising future defensive superstar. But now, he’s met his biggest trouble!”

”Before the match, Laveran had claimed he would keep Lu Yang at bay! But now, this has become a joke.”

”If Lu Yang’s free-kick goal wasn’t considered a direct confrontation with Laveran, then this time, Lu Yang really overpowered Laveran head-on!”

”Two goals! Combined with the crucial assist in the first half, Lu Yang once again achieved the stats of two goals and one assist!”

”Three consecutive games with two goals and one assist! Unprecedented! This is definitely the most arrogant rookie performance in European Cup history! No player debuting in the European Cup has ever performed at this level!”

”Forget the rookie! No player has ever performed so crazily and consistently in the European Cup group stage!”

”Speaking of today’s match, the three best performers were Madeira, Praxedes, and Lu Yang!”

”Madeira was once Mr. Golden Ball, Praxedes was once the world’s best left-back, both showcasing top-level abilities today.”

”So the question arises! What level of player is Lu Yang?”

The commentator posed a global conundrum.

This question will inevitably spark huge discussions and even controversy after the match.

Because there’s always been controversy regarding the status and strength of rookie players.

For top superstars, if they can surpass everyone else in a given year, they can become that year’s world number one, winning the Golden Ball Award or the World Footballer of the Year.

But for stars who have been famous for a while, even if they achieve the best in football in a given year, getting into the top five of the two big awards is usually the limit.

Such as Mane, Salah, Lewandowski, Mbappe, etc.

As for players who have debuted for two or three years, become famous for less than a year, and are not yet twenty years old... even if they achieve the same feats, their names generally struggle to break into the top ten of the two big awards.

Is this fair?

Some say it’s unfair because from a competitive standpoint, why would one of the year’s best only rank tenth?

But others say it’s fair.

Because those ahead of you have consistently maintained a global top-ten standard for many years.

The peaks you’ve reached, they’ve also reached, and even surpassed. Why should you defeat their ten years of excellence with just one strong year?

Moreover, since it’s a vote, it will inevitably be influenced by factors like fame and likability.

So, in summary, even though these two awards are very authoritative, every newcomer must first work to get onto the observation list of these two awards, first entering the top 30, then seeking new breakthroughs.

This is the game rule.

It’s similar to how Sofia’s films ”The Invisible Guest” and ”Gone Girl” both had huge box office and critical success, but she might still need a couple more movies to truly score at the Oscar.

Many believe that if they are strong enough, they absolutely deserve the corresponding achievements. But they’re often too naive, seeing only the surface rules, missing the deeper ones.

They excel in a specific field but have not achieved excellence across multiple areas.

The truly smart and strong ones are those who can endure this stage, maintain their competitive advantage, and find ways to minimize the time spent in non-competitive fields.

Back in the game, the match was not over.

Portugal still had a chance for a comeback.

”You Portuguese are not good either!” After scoring, Lu Yang naturally couldn’t miss teasing Laveran.

Laveran almost rushed over, but thankfully was held back by his teammates in time.

Lu Yang quickly left as well, to avoid the main referee considering him as provoking the opponent.

The main referee was watching closely.

To be fair, Laveran is indeed quite strong.

Ancelotti and Perrotta didn’t gain much advantage over him today either.
