I AM the Football Star

Moreover, the biggest problem is that this France team is extremely fast!

Italy, on the other hand, is a team of veterans.

Even at the same level, a team of veterans is naturally suppressed by a speed team.

Not to mention Italy’s lineup is at a disadvantage.

The major betting companies are not foolish; their odds suggest that the France team has the highest probability of winning this year.

Isn’t this more reliable than those experts?

After the analysis, Lu Yang wondered aloud: ”Aren’t we going to research other teams?”

Maniero said with a bitter face: ”That should wait until we advance. Currently, the need to research all teams is probably limited to France, Germany, England, Spain, and Belgium.”

Lu Yang smiled awkwardly.

Very realistic.

”Regarding national team selection, Farrela won’t be able to make it this time; he had some strain injuries in the final phase of the season. Although he has recovered now, I want to take this opportunity to recruit two young players, to give them some hope,” Maniero said candidly.

Kuriara Farell, this player is extremely talented, and he gets more skilled with age.

But he is simply too old!

He is two years older than veterans like Ancelotti and Perrotta.

His strength indeed ranks in the top five on Italy’s front line.

But... he has no potential left.

In the next championship, and the one after, you can’t rely on Farrela anymore.

If you don’t properly train some newcomers now, how will you find replacements at that time?

For parents, the impact of environment on development is very clear.

”I want to bring Sogel and Kolber!” Maniero said.

Lu Yang’s face lit up with joy.

Sogel has a tacit understanding with him, and if given the opportunity to play, they might generate some chemistry.

Kolber’s personal skills are outstanding, his scoring ability is very strong. He has a strong predator attribute but can also do some simple coordination and act as a pivot.

If these two players develop smoothly, they might replace Perrotta and Ancelotti in the future.

Italy truly does not lack central forwards.

But they... really don’t have the environment for wingers to grow.

”As for the attacking midfielder, I’ll take you and have Perotti as your substitute.” Maniero finished speaking, making Lu Yang feel somewhat ruthless.

Does he need a substitute?

Obviously not.

This means in this European Cup, Perotti is unlikely to have much playing time.

He just undermined Perotti’s throne in Rome, and now keeps him on the bench.

This is... rather unkind... hahaha.

And you know, this placement is very cunning.

Previously, Perotti was positioned as a dual substitute for attacking midfielder and midfielder, but now Maniero has changed him to an exclusive substitute for attacking midfielder.

This means there will be more opportunities for midfielders.

Who is Maniero striving for then?

”In midfield, Pellegrini and Finger are likely the main players, but I hope substitute players have more playing time. Especially as Pellegrini’s form has been unstable this season.” Maniero said shamelessly, ”Morici and Candreva can appear on the field more depending on circumstances.”

See that!

It’s confirmed!

Maniero is undoubtedly trying to give Morici more playing time.

Not directly starting him likely to avoid making enemies for Morici.

After all, Morici is not like Lu Yang.

Who hasn’t Brother Lu beaten?

Whereas Morici... clearly doesn’t have Lu Yang’s big heart, so it’s better to quietly rise.

Candreva is purely a smokescreen by Maniero.

Candreva’s best-fit style is as an attacking midfielder, so when Maniero prioritizes replacing Morici, no one can say anything.

”I will also recruit Sevajos from the previous European Youth Team to the national team, if we need to change formations, then Sevajos will be an important link for us,” Maniero’s path in this European Cup is relatively clear.

The achievement goal is to strive to clear the group stage; as long as we advance, this Italy is not a failure.

After all, with this bunch of old players, they sound prestigious, but how much strength remains is known to everyone.

Don’t be too harsh on the elderly.

On the other hand, Maniero is actively cultivating newcomers, whenever possible, he is trying to include newcomers in the substitute roster.

Even if they don’t play, experiencing such a major competition will help young players transform.

”Defensive midfielder Drake is getting older and urgently needs a substitute. Cortino, who transferred from Turin to Florence this season, can give it a try, and Lam from San Remo also has a swing attribute between center-back and defensive midfielder; I will include both.” Maniero continued listing, ”The defense line changes little - Praxedes, Bernulin, Chiavich, Florenzi.”

”Pirola who transferred to Barça, and Scamacca who transferred to AC Milan as substitutes.”

”For goalkeeping, Audi as starter, Ameluci and Oreola as second and third substitute goalkeepers respectively.”

Maniero sorted out the roster.

Lu Yang couldn’t help but sigh for Canyes.

Canyes’ offensive attributes are too obvious, but not suited to this Italy’s defensive system.

Florenzi, Scamacca are both more suitable and stronger than Canyes.

But Lu Yang still hopes that Canyes is selected for the national team; even if he doesn’t play, being a substitute is a form of practice.

The challenges Saint Remo will face next season are immense; the strengthening of any player is what the team needs.

What a pity!

”Unknowingly, your San Remo can also be considered a major provider of international players now!” Martivini insightfully praised, ”Providing plenty of talent for the Italy National Team, worthy of commendation!”
