I AM the Football Star

I know that in the first leg against Inter Milan, your San Remo was targeted, but you guys managed to pull through, didn’t you?

Now’s not really the time to complain.

Even some professional journalists who understand the inside story agree with Jeffery.

You’ve already won the championship, so there’s no need to talk about unfair decisions now.

It seems quite petty.

Be magnanimous!

A champion should be magnanimous!

”I have no issues with the Main Referee’s decisions. I just think... we have some thoughts on that controversial goal in the first leg between us and Inter Milan, on whether it fully crossed the goal line,” Lu Yang said. ”If goal-line technology had been installed at the time, such calls would be very clear, and there wouldn’t be any disputes afterward.”

”This wouldn’t affect the fluidity of football or the authority of the Main Referee. Because if it didn’t go in, it didn’t go in, and no one can say it did. And if it went in, it went in, and no one can say it didn’t!”

”So... to reduce these unnecessary wrongful calls, I, Lu Yang, as this year’s UEFA Europa League final champion, sincerely suggest to UEFA to introduce goal-line technology as soon as possible, to benefit the football world! Let’s not allow players to suffer from unjust decisions!”

”San Remo and Inter Milan are both victims of such unfair decisions. San Remo lost the match because of it, and Inter Milan won a dishonorable victory because of it. This wasn’t our intention.”

”I believe this wasn’t UEFA’s intention either!”

After Lu Yang finished speaking, he handed the microphone to Jeffery, waiting for him to speak.

Jeffery hemming and hawing for a long time, in the end, just chuckled awkwardly like a fool.

The award ceremony continued afterward.

With a gloomy face, Jeffery presented the Bertoni Trophy to Lu Yang.

Lu Yang, holding the trophy, stood among his teammates and raised it high.

The entire team shouted together: ”We are the champions!”

It seemed as if all the flashlights in the world lit up at that moment.

Everyone was talking about the UEFA Europa League champions.

However, only the Italian Football Association forwarded Lu Yang’s words, accompanied by a note: ”Serie A and Serie B will fully introduce goal-line technology next season, making football purer and letting miracles set sail!”

From then on, European Football could no longer ignore the issue of goal-line technology.

They must react to it before the World Cup in two years.

FIFA could make light of the issue.

But UEFA… can no longer do so.

Because the Italian Football Association acted without restraint and took the lead!

The VAR issue was thrown out, will UEFA follow?

Not follow?

Fine, then I’ll take a step back, throwing out the goal-line technology issue!

Can UEFA still not follow?

If they follow?

Then will next year’s script be problem-free?

Goal-line technology is not a referee, the whole world will see clearly if it went in or not.

That’s a field where UEFA can’t intervene in a short time.

This revenge by San Remo is too crazy.

Didn’t they just disallow one of your goals, and now you’re going to cost UEFA billions with your countermove!

Does Lu Yang really not worry about getting stabbed by ”extreme fans” someday?

Wait… he’s Chinese!

Through football, he has a huge influence in China and seems to have some connections with the official side.

”Extreme fans” probably wouldn’t dare to touch him.

Otherwise, not just considering the massive football broadcasting and surrounding market in the East, even in terms of official attitudes, someone might have to stand up and offer a public apology unto death.

Football is just football.

But football... is not just football!

UEFA... has no choice but to swallow the loss concerning goal-line technology!
