Beneath the Red Dragon

Chapter 842: Chapter 144: Kings’ Convocation: The January Pact (Part 4)

On the gnarled chest of the multi-armed giant Mogyes, there was a striking scorched scar. The red muscles had also turned out, vaguely showing the signs of those scorched muscles dying.

But everything was naturally healing in front of the powerful life force of the multi-armed giant.

This was the most ferocious offensive launched by those cloud giant priests at the cost of their own lives, so overwhelming that even the armor fashioned from the bones of the Supreme Celestial Titan worn by the multi-armed giant couldn’t withstand such destructive force.

“Hmm?”

The multi-armed giant, resting, gazed at the giant dragon traversing the distant sky, softly making a sound that resonated like a heavy drum pounding.

He dismissed the giant dragons and flying dragons encircling him, rising from the ground like a mountain peak emerging from the earth.

Although the stature of the multi-armed giant couldn’t compare to the height of the surrounding mountains, his imposing aura made him appear far mightier than those towering solitary summits.

“The giant dragon of the Golden Empire, have you already grown impatient with your ambition, wishing to establish a foothold in the Divine Forsaken Mountain Range?” The multi-armed giant Mogyes calmly observed the halted dragon squad, the enormous voice resounding.

“If that is your intention, then today you must remain here.”

The magnificent presence of the multi-armed giant king instantly made the flying dragon riders and over a dozen white dragons in the sky feel as though, despite their vantage point, there remained a majestic divine mountain before them, insurmountable.

The enormous and slender form of the White Dragon Gomot glided out of the chariot, as agile as a serpent.

Gomot extended his wings, descending to a height level with the head of the multi-armed giant Mogyes, before speaking: “The Empire harbors no such intention, Mogyes. The Emperor of the Golden Empire, Karon Gogomola, has heard that you are a powerful and ambitious ruler and has sent me to pay you a visit.”

“And to present the invitation personally written by the Emperor of the Empire,” a thin golden seal booklet appeared upon the paw of the White Dragon Gomot.

Mogyes’s two frontal heads simultaneously furrowed their brows, taking the golden seal booklet from the paw of the White Dragon Gomot, but did not open it. Instead, he asked, “The Emperor of the Golden Empire? What does Karon Gogomola want?”

“In a month’s time, on the islands by the eastern seas of the Northern Sea, the Eight Kings shall gather to negotiate an alliance!” the White Dragon Gomot stated succinctly.

But this brief sentence slightly moved the otherwise impassive cheeks of the multi-armed giant Mogyes, “The Eight Kings shall gather? Where do these eight rulers come from?”

“The king of the Elf Kingdom, the lord of the Dark Nest, the heroic king of the Dark Elves beneath the Dark Realm, the monarch of the Beastman Kingdom, the Emperor of the Hobis Empire, the king of the Frost Giants, and the king of the Divine Forsaken Mountain Range!”

The White Dragon Gomot said with a hint of meaningfulness.

“Moreover, apart from you, most of the other kings have already agreed to the meeting on the Northern Sea Island in a month’s time!” the White Dragon Gomot said.

Although several dragon kings of the Golden Empire were still on their way to deliver invitations, and those kings had yet to agree, the White Dragon Gomot merely employed a little communication trick.

The multi-armed giant Mogyes of the Divine Forsaken Mountain Range could neither verify the facts nor could he outright refuse.

For this affair was truly earth-shattering, not only involving the kings of several powerful forces on the Northern Continent but even those from the Western Continent. Even the multi-armed giant Mogyes could not refuse such an alliance meeting.

For there is no fear until the last moment, but alas, what if?

The combined forces of these powers wield a strength no one can ignore.

Moreover, the Emperor of the Golden Empire was also organizing the meeting place outside the Empire’s territory, at the intersection with other forces, alleviating these rulers’ concerns for their personal safety.

Hence, the multi-armed giant Mogyes finally opened the invitation gold seal in his hand, quickly scanning the information before letting out a long exhale.

“I accept your Empire’s invitation for the alliance. In a month’s time, I, Mogyes, will indeed appear on the eastern seas’ islands,”

Mogyes said, “As for the request from the Emperor of the Golden Empire, Karon Gogomola, for me to release the enslaved dragon species under my control,”

“Return and tell your Emperor that I will bring those dragons along. If we successfully establish the alliance after the meeting, I will release those dragons.”

“Otherwise, if Karon Gogomola’s mere invitation were enough to make me release these dragons, wouldn’t that make others think I’m afraid of him if word spread?”
