Beneath the Red Dragon

The sharp cries of the howling birds echoed through the endless forests, accompanied by the screeches of eagles and growls of fierce beasts.

These were the rangers of the Golden Empire walking in their domain, using these animals and beasts to seek out the information they desired.

Occasionally, a few ancient tree-men would awaken from their silent state of nature, communicating with the arriving rangers.

Even just half a night was enough for those prepared dragon hunters to flee far from the Golden Empire.

Moreover, now it was the second day, and if those dragon hunters carried some magical treasures and tools of spatial teleportation, the distance they could reach was beyond the detection of even the empire’s great mages and dragon groups.

But as long as there is the fact of existence in the world, there must be traces of existence left behind.

The Golden Empire’s exhaustive searches seemed unnecessary but brought some experience to the empire’s vigilance and investigation system.

Besides the rangers wandering through the forests, search vessels of the empire’s inland river guard army also sailed along the River of Gold.

The overall terrain of the Golden Empire is high in the north and low in the south, with the River of Gold flowing from north to south following the empire’s terrain, serving as the largest river within the imperial land, with countless tributaries distributed from east to west.

Although the River of Gold originates from the grasslands, it is replenished through the waterways of the Dragon Nest Mountain Range.

The Dragon Nest Mountain Range was initially formed by the long-term residence of White Dragon Gomot and White Dragon Camid, creating glacier-like formations that have permanently altered the geography over time.

Every day, massive amounts of glacier snow melt, creating small tributaries that flow into this mother river of the empire.

Moreover, with the increasing number of giant dragons within the empire, the geography of the Dragon Nest Mountain Range becomes more pronounced.

Especially the initial core members of the Gogomola Dragon Group, these giant dragons occupy peaks that serve as the main spine’s nodes, taller than almost any range in the mountains.

Not only due to the influence and favor from the empire’s Dragon Emperor Karon Gogomola, but also the impact of the nesting effect from these outstanding giant dragons long-term residence.

Ordinary giant dragons need to live for centuries to naturally bring about such supernatural phenomena around their nests.

Unfortunately, every core member of the Gogomola Dragon Group is not an ordinary giant dragon.

Besides White Dragon Gomot and White Dragon Camid, White Dragon Sloraka and White Dragon Ronnie do not have the qualifications to independently occupy the main spine of the mountains.

These two white dragons merely occupy two tributaries around the empire’s White King’s Twins main spine, building their nests on the mountain’s tributaries.

While adult White Dragon Saklese and the fierce Scarred Dragon Roka are powerful, they can only occupy two tributaries as their foothold.

As for other white dragons, originally led by adult White Dragon Saklese, the Frost Plain Dragon Group still has five remaining, all nesting around the main spine of the White King’s Twins.

Other scaled giant dragons are not much different from the white-scaled ones. Among the Red Dragons, apart from Kleyna, only the young Red Dragon Kedelos can independently occupy a main spine.

Kleyna dislikes having giant dragons living around her nest, thus this perpetually hot-tempered female Red Dragon occupies a main spine surrounded by none.

In such circumstances, the River of Gold, originally traversing north to south, becomes even grander, with increasing water flow and widening water surface.

In the widest river channel of the River of Gold, it spans one hundred and twenty kilometers, with the deepest parts yet to be measured by the empire.

The narrowest section used to lie at the middle of the downstream, the Flying Ape Gorge, only over forty meters wide, and the local people of the empire describe the wild apes in the mountains swinging across, thus named.

However, as these search vessels passed the threshold of the Flying Ape Gorge, they saw shadows cast down from the sky.

High above, giant dragons appeared.

In that line, twenty nearly identical-sized Flying Dragons, ridden by their knights, guarded the path ahead.

Sixteen white dragons of varying sizes spread out, forming a defensive array.

At the rear, there were over a hundred Flying Dragon riders and warriors of the Bloodscale Frenzy Corps.

And two white-scaled demon dragons, each forty meters long, were surrounded by these dragons and warriors, pulling a massive chariot that rolled forward in the sky with a rumbling sound.

On the enormous chariot, a golden empire’s royal banner fluttered, showing dragons of various scales on the flag.

Hanging from the roof corners of the enormous chariot were two small bells that jingled crisply.

At the forefront of the chariot, two Valerian guards with purple hair and purple eyes, possessing splendid beauty, were controlling the giant demon dragon species in front.

These Valerians, combining Druid knowledge and magic, nurtured these demon dragons in the Icaria World, providing better growth conditions, allowing their bodies to grow much faster than in the original world.

The spiritual intelligence of these demon dragons is also far more abundant than those in the original world, although they still lack the magical abilities and heritage of True Dragon Species like those in the Icaria World, they have gradually become powerful airborne weapons in the Golden Empire.

Under the influence of the True Dragons of the Golden Empire, these demon dragons are gradually undergoing mutations, becoming dragon blood-infected species demon dragons.
