I Am Not A Goblin Slayer

Chapter 105: Chapter 99: Ultimate Magic Missile!

”Yaaaa!”

The Red Hat Goblin drew a short blade and chopped directly at the neck of a fellow goblin who was turning to flee.

Its blood-red eyes stared at the remaining goblins watching it.

Do not retreat! We must fight!

The Red Hat Goblin, unlike ordinary goblins, seeing the bloody scene, rather suppressed the slight unease in its heart, and the battle will awakened from its bloodline, craving human blood more than fearing death.

After it killed two timid goblins, the tribe’s collapse was temporarily stabilized.

The memory of combat in its brain told it, as long as it approaches this spell-casting human, victory is not far away.

Perhaps after bathing in the blood of this powerful human, it might also step into a more powerful stage of strength!

The desire that ignited in its heart prompted the Red Hat Goblin to continuously exert extreme pressure on its clan!

The goblins, inspired, regrouped and launched a third charge.

”Goblins killed*4”

”Total monster kills: 210”

After three charges and at the cost of 10 comrades, finally, a goblin reached in front of Gauss.

By then, the number of adult goblins killed by Gauss in this village had unknowingly reached 25.

Nearly half the loss.

Facing the goblin approaching in front.

Gauss couldn’t be bothered to draw his rapier.

Taking advantage of the moment, he swung the recently magic-casting Unbreakable Staff directly at the enemy in front.

With 7 points of strength, using the rapier feels somewhat light, but the metallic staff fits perfectly.

Additionally, the Star Destruction effect from [Goblin Slayer] provides a 20% attack power bonus.

The solid characteristic of the Unbreakable Staff.

Various forces combined, bursting out even stronger power!

”Boom!”

The moment the head of the staff smashed into the goblin’s skull, time seemed to freeze for an instant.

”Bang!!!”

A crisp sound echoed throughout the village.

The skull at the point of impact shattered, then burst like a watermelon!

The ugly head was smashed and exploded with great force, spraying rotten brain matter!

Leaving only a headless corpse twitching on its knees on the ground.

The long spears of the other two or three goblins stabbing at Gauss couldn’t penetrate further.

Their wooden spear attacks cannot pierce Gauss’s sturdy armor.

The brutal scene unfolding before them made the surrounding goblins tremble with fear.

”Bang!”

”Bang!”

”Bang!”

But Gauss did not stop, pressing forward.

The long staff in his hand smashed onto the small heads of several goblins like a heavy hammer.

Each attack easily smashed their skulls.

”Goblins killed*4”

”Total monster kills: 214”

”That’s handy, really handy.”

Gauss realized that after his strength increased, the Unbreakable Staff seemed much more convenient.

From a distance, he can cast Magic Missile.

When the enemy comes closer, inconvenient to cast spells, it seamlessly transitions as a melee weapon.

The only drawback is that it doesn’t look very elegant, anyone seeing his current stance would simply call him a Berserker, who would think he’s actually a Mage.

However, a weapon that can kill enemies is a good weapon, and the way it’s used doesn’t really matter.

In a very short time, Gauss cleared the nearby goblins.

Not far away, a red figure no longer hid.

It drew a short blade and stomped vigorously on the ground, and with its powerful lower limb force, its not-so-tall body leaped high.

Its physique was quite deceptive, but beneath its 1.3 meters height lay strength greater than a robust human.

The high-leaping Red Hat, with great impact, jumped from several meters away, slashing over.

Gauss had actually noticed it early on.

Just earlier it carefully hid behind its clan, and only dared initiate the final attack when getting closer to him?

Little does it know, Gauss was waiting for this moment.

With a press of his wrist, the tip of the Unbreakable Staff aimed at the airborne Red Hat Goblin.

”Magic Missile!”

The moment magic power converged at the staff’s tip.

A smile appeared on Gauss’s face.

An unusual feeling of rapidly expanding magic power suddenly emerged.

Lucky indeed.

Of course, part of it was intentional.

The critical attack effect of the [Goblin Slayer] title that had been accumulated over so many attacks earlier finally triggered.

Because the target was the leader, the Magic Missile Gauss released was in full force, not a bit diminished.

The wave originally more powerful than normal Magic Bullet swelled rapidly with the critical effect bonus.

20% power increase, special profession Magic Envoy released 1st-level Spells, Spell Mastery talent, critical effect, Sub-Core Skills...

This strike!

Could be referred to as an ultimate attack with full buffs stack!

”Boom!”

The moment the large missile was launched, the air seemed entirely torn open!

Waves of impact spread along the missile’s flight path.

”Boom!!!”

The airborne Red Hat Goblin, with nowhere to dodge, was precisely struck by this heavy large missile, and in an instant, it was like being hit by a hundreds-pound high-speed heavy hammer.

No time to be sent flying by the impact, it exploded!

Just as the word implies, its skin burst open on the spot.

Blood, organs, shattered bones, brain matter, eyeballs, muscle tissues, and its prized red pointy hat all burst into fragments, raining down like a downpour!

```
”Goblin killed *1”
”Total number of monsters killed: 215”
Instant kill!
Gauss looked at the effect of his strike and nodded.
He was very satisfied with the power of what could be called his ultimate strike at the moment.
Although it seemed like using a cannon to kill a mosquito, its power was indeed visible to the naked eye.
It was truly powerful; even that Mantis People from before probably couldn’t withstand this blow.
However, upon careful thought, he realized he was seeking a reflection of the past, as the Mantis People didn’t benefit from the ”Goblin Slayer” title bonus, so the power shouldn’t be this exaggerated.
Of course, with his current strength, it shouldn’t be too difficult to kill it, though it might require a few more Magic Missiles to finish the job.
Gathering his thoughts.
Gauss turned to look at the other goblins.
After losing their leader, the Red Hat, they seemed to have been scared stiff.
Bathed in the rain of blood, their steps became heavier.
Seeing the goblin horde whose morale had plummeted, Gauss knew he had to speed up.
After losing their leader, the goblins would quickly scatter.
There were still over twenty goblins in front, and splitting up to flee would indeed be troublesome.
Pushing the Unbreakable Staff into the ground, he drew his rapier.
When it came to speed, it had to be this.
With a large step, he arrived in front of a few goblins.
Under the effects of Level 2 ”Basic Swordsmanship,” the rapier in his hand became incredibly skillful.
Killing ordinary goblins didn’t really require overly complicated sword techniques; the most primitive moves were enough.
The key was speed, accuracy, and ruthlessness.
He flicked his wrist several times, and the rapier in his hand stabbed out several phantoms in the air!
”Swish!”
”Swish!”
Gauss’s steps were swift.
Along with his footsteps, the slender sword artifact also precisely hit the vital parts of the goblins.
With each displacement, the silver-white sword light followed like a shadow.
It was like dancing.
Occasionally, a goblin would fight back, only to see their weapon blocked by a mysterious force and, after a flash of sharp sword light, permanently sink into darkness.
To Gauss, goblins without a leader were nothing but a rabble.
”Goblin killed *1”
”Goblin killed *1”
”Goblin killed *1”
...
In the splattering bloody water, the kill notifications flashed continuously before Gauss.
Within a few minutes, he had dealt with the goblins’ remaining forces.
Then he looked down at the reddish-brown footprints extending to the low wall on the ground.
Gauss squinted slightly.
He jumped onto the low wall.
Sure enough, in the distance, he saw a few goblins fleeing towards the forest.
Beside them were goblin cubs from the village, who hadn’t appeared before.
These small creatures, just tens of centimeters tall, could run at a decent speed.
Gauss jumped off the low wall, feeling the surplus energy and magic power within him.
He activated ”Enhanced Jump” to speed up his pursuit.
His speed was already faster than the goblins to begin with, and with the skill bonus, his speed increased dramatically once more.
Before long, he caught up with the goblins who had run some distance.
”Swish!”
The rapier stabbed into a goblin’s back.
Then the second, the third!
Even if it wasn’t a mission requirement, he would still exterminate the goblins completely.
In the end, all the adult goblins died at his hands.
In front of him were seven or eight cubs of various sizes and shapes.
The goblin cubs at this stage had already gained a basic level of intelligence.
Their eyes were full of hatred as they looked at Gauss.
Especially the one at the front, the tallest, nearly 80 centimeters, its hate-filled eyes almost solidifying under its lowered head.
Perhaps in its eyes, Gauss, who shattered their peaceful daily life and slaughtered their kin of the same bloodline, was no different from a heinous demon.
Gauss and it locked eyes.
Under Gauss’s gaze, it slowly knelt down, continually kowtowing for mercy before him.
”Seems you are smarter than other goblins,” Gauss said seriously.
This was the first time a goblin had kneeled and begged for mercy in front of him.
This human-like action was possibly learned from humans previously captured by their tribe but also indicated its naturally more intelligent mind than most goblins.
If Gauss hadn’t come, in a few years, it might have used its stronger physical prowess and intelligence to reach the elite stage and wreak havoc.
”It’s a pity...”
Gauss casually swung his sword.
He swiftly and accurately cut off the little head crawling on the ground before him.
Its intelligence was still lacking; the emotion in its eyes couldn’t be hidden.
Of course, even if it hadn’t exposed that intense hatred, Gauss wouldn’t have spared it.
The remaining few goblins, amid a series of sharp cries, met the same fate.
As he looked at the palm-sized heads on the ground.
Gauss’s expression was somewhat solemn.
This solemnity wasn’t about exterminating the goblin cubs to the roots itself.
Rather, he suddenly realized that the hatred between demons and humans might be continuously entwined and deepened by this flowing bloodshed.
If he had let these cubs slip by, perhaps years later, an elite goblin with intense hatred for humans would emerge, seizing every opportunity, just like today, to massacre human villages.
