Hogwarts: I Am an Exemplary Wizard

Chapter 122: Chapter 120: Skiving Snackbox Series

As expected, once the werewolf was out of life-threatening danger, he was taken away by the Ministry of Magic.

Professor Cecily didn’t stop them. After the Ministry left, she took the healer named Hippocrates and went back.

In the office of the St Mungo’s director, Professor Cecily calmly asked, ”How did it go?”

”Very smoothly,” said Hippocrates. ”During the treatment, I managed to send them away for about five minutes.”

”How much Veritaserum was used...”

”Three drops. With the werewolf’s recovery ability, the people from the Ministry of Magic definitely won’t notice,” said Hippocrates. ”Also, I’ve asked about the issues you mentioned. That werewolf was following Greyback before, but was taken to Knockturn Alley a month ago...”

While Professor Cecily and healer Hippocrates were talking, Kael was just being sent back home by Dumbledore.

”This is as far as I go, Kael.”

At Ottery St Catchpole, Dumbledore said, ”I still have to go to France to meet a friend. I hope he will forgive my absence.”

Once Kael recovered from the discomfort caused by Apparition, Dumbledore had already disappeared.

He also noticed that Dumbledore had brought him close to The Shabby Residence.

”Is the headmaster also directionally challenged? Never heard of that.”

Kael scratched his head but didn’t pay much attention.

Not long after he got home, Chris and Diana rushed back as well.

”We received a letter from Dumbledore.”

Chris, looking tense, pulled Kael over and checked him carefully before asking, ”Did you encounter a werewolf at St Mungo’s?!”

”Yes.”

Kael had already prepared his words and said calmly, ”But at the time, Hagrid and Professor Kettleburn were with me, and they quickly dealt with that werewolf.”

”But Dumbledore said in the letter that it was you who dealt with the werewolf,” Diana said, dragging her words, ”Did he lie?”

”Well... I felt it was bad to just watch, so I helped a little.”

Kael held out his hand, pinched his little finger, emphasized, ”Really, just a little.”

Diana raised her eyebrows, ”If it was just helping, then why did Cecily apply for a Second Class Order of Merlin for you?”

”Maybe Hagrid and Professor Kettleburn didn’t need such things... so it was given to me.”

Diana clearly didn’t believe Kael’s explanation. She squinted and said, ”First being taken to the Forbidden Forest by Oren disguised as the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, and now encountering a werewolf at St Mungo’s... Perhaps Hogwarts isn’t suitable for you.

How about transferring to Beauxbatons, I happen to know Madam Maxime, she should take good care of you.”

”Ilvermorny is also an option,” Chris added, ”Theseus Scamander and his wife both teach there. I remember they liked you very much when you were young.”

”Um... transferring isn’t necessary,” Kael said nervously, ”It’s too troublesome.”

”It’s not troublesome,” Diana said, ”And there, at least you won’t encounter such dangerous events again.”

”These were all accidents, the same could happen anywhere,” Kael whispered, ”Besides, the incidents at St Mungo’s have nothing to do with Hogwarts.”

Diana replied blandly, ”How could it have nothing to do with it? Hagrid is Hogwarts’ gamekeeper, and Kettleburn is the Professor of Care of Magical Creatures.”

”Is that even possible?”

Kael was momentarily speechless, but quickly thought of something, his eyes lit up, ”I think it’s because of Hagrid... Both times were related to him, he must be unlucky, which affected me too.

I promise to stay far away from him when the new term starts, then everything will be fine.”

Anyway, just pass the blame first.

This trick indeed worked a bit, after that, Chris and Diana didn’t bring up transferring again.

But they didn’t allow Kael to wander around alone, even going to Diagon Alley required adult accompaniment.

Luckily, Kael didn’t really intend to go out, he agreed readily.

During the period afterwards, to ensure they felt reassured, Kael stayed in his room doing homework without going anywhere.

Perhaps due to just finishing exams, the Hogwarts professors didn’t assign much summer homework, about the same as during the Easter holidays.

Kael only took a week to finish it, even under the interference of Fred and George.

Those two seemed to have made his house’s attic a secret base, coming almost every day. While Kael was doing homework, they were there researching a strange candy.

Before the holiday, they had used almost all the candies bought from Hogsmeade on this.

When Kael finished his last piece of Magic History homework and went to the attic, he just heard voices inside.

”Fred, diluted Swelling Potion only makes the tongue a little thicker, it’s not the result we want at all.”

”Mmph... mmph...”

”Yeah, this is the closest to success so far. If it’s not diluted, even a small amount makes the whole mouth enlarge.”

”...”

Kael pushed the door open and entered, and when he saw the two’s appearances, he couldn’t hold back and burst out laughing.

”Pfft...”

George looked fine, without any noticeable change.

But Fred was different, his face swelled up, looking like he had a pineapple stuffed in his mouth, anyone unaware would think he got stung by a wasp.

Kael tried not to look at Fred’s face while suppressing his laughter, asking, ”What are you guys working on?”

”Something that can help young wizards get away from troubles,” George winked and smiled, ”We call it the Skiving Snackbox.”

Fred: ”Mmph... mmph...”

Kael tried, but truly didn’t understand what Fred said, so he could only look at George, waiting for him to translate.

”Fred said, this series will definitely be popular.” ℯℯ𝑙.

After translating, George continued explaining, ”We plan to make a candy that enlarges the tongue, but the trouble is, we can’t control the Swelling Potion amount well enough to make it work only on the tongue.”

Although making the whole head or mouth enlarge can also achieve the ”skiving” effect, it loses the fun.

This isn’t what the Weasley brothers want.

”Have you tried Shrunken Fig?”

Kael thought for a moment, then said, ”I remember Shrunken Fig can neutralize the effects of Swelling Potion, using this might be better than diluting.”

”Yeah, why did I forget that...”

George slapped his leg, causing Fred to grimace.

”Sorry Fred, I didn’t recognize that was your leg.”

After finishing speaking, George immediately got up and ran towards the door, ”I’ll go to Diagon Alley right away, be back soon!”
