Hogwarts: I Am an Exemplary Wizard

Chapter 108: Chapter 106: Disillusionment

Just like Kael said, since he found out that Hagrid had been set up, he took a trip to the Room of Requirement to put those two Chomping Cabbages into the Transfiguration Lizard Skin Bag.

This bag was Newt’s Christmas gift to him last year, a modified version, just like the suitcase that can hold Fantastic Beasts, so plants are no problem either.

Just a bit small in space.

When they were escaping earlier, Kael had already sneaked them into the nearby bushes, planning to set a trap for that witch, but in the end, he used it on Oren.

Let’s call it an unexpected windfall.

On the other side, Oren was rolling awkwardly on the ground, his legs already immobilized, and could only dodge those two Chomping Cabbages that were like mad dogs using this method.

At the same time, he had to deal with Kael’s continuous stream of Disarming Spells and Stunning Spells.

”Damn it!”

After deflecting another Disarming Spell, Oren took a bite from a Chomping Cabbage before finally releasing his first Charm.

”Incendio!”

Although using the fire spell would expose his location, Oren couldn’t care less at this point.

Crimson flames burst from the wand, the surface of the two Chomping Cabbages began to char, and shortly, they stopped moving.

”I admit, I underestimated you.”

Oren sat on a high platform made of gathered fallen leaves, his eyes devoid of emotion. He raised his hand, and the leaves turned into sharp blades, whistling as they flew towards Kael.

”Confringo!” Kael pointed his wand at the ground.

After the violent explosion, smoke filled the air.

”Blocking my vision?” Oren sneered, ”A nice idea, but where are you going to hide?”

The blades fell into the smoke like raindrops; under such a dense range attack, he didn’t need to know Kael’s position.

Oren’s lips curled slightly, ”It’s over...”

”Stupefy!”

A voice suddenly sounded from behind, making Oren’s heart skip a beat. He recognized it as Kael’s voice.

But how was it possible, how could Kael appear behind him!

Oren roared internally, but there was no time to turn around.

”Bang!”

With a dull thud.

A green creature appeared behind Oren, like an opened umbrella, blocking what was surely a hit Stunning Spell.

Kael felt a sweetness in his chest, gritted his teeth against the discomfort, and whispered, ”Swooping Evil... it didn’t chase Conna!”

”Ha, who told you it went after that little girl.” Oren turned his head, speaking with a playful tone, ”I just let you guess where it was.”

”First the Chomping Cabbage, and then using Disillusionment in combat... I must say, you’ve surprised me many times today, Kael!”

”Compared to you, I was wasting my time as a first-year. As a reward, I’ve decided to let you go...”

”Let me go...” Kael chuckled, ”You think you can kill me?”

Oren didn’t respond, it was hard to say before, but now it was indeed not easy to kill Kael.

Although continuing the fight would not be without a chance, the Ministry of Magic was arriving soon, leaving him with little time.

But Oren didn’t want to leave just like that.

Failing to kill an eleven-year-old young wizard and being forced back instead? If word got out, his reputation would be ruined.

”You really won’t leave?”

”Can’t leave.” Kael shrugged, teasing the Billywig that had just landed on his shoulder.

If it were five minutes ago, he would have turned and run without a second thought, but now it was different, he couldn’t swallow this anger.

Being threatened, deceived, and mocked... he’d never suffered such a big loss since childhood. If he didn’t retaliate, he wouldn’t be at peace.

Moreover, now it’s not him who should be anxious, this is the Forbidden Forest...

”You want to die!” Oren’s lips twitched angrily, that Billywig was the one he had released earlier!

Oren raised his wand, a green light began to gather at its tip, ”Avada...”

”Whoosh!”

An arrow whizzed through the air, forcing Oren to retract his wand to avoid it piercing his arm.

”Clip-clop...”

The sound of hoofbeats approached from afar as a group of centaurs charged out from the thicket, holding longbows and pointing sharp arrows at both Kael and Oren.

Primarily at Oren, as one of the Centaurs recognized Kael.

Firenze approached cautiously, ”You’re the student from that castle, why are you here, and who is he?”

”A Dark Wizard!”

Kael quickly said, ”He’s the one who stole the unicorn foal and also used an Unforgivable Curse!”

The next second, all the centaurs’ bows aimed at Oren.

At the same time, a series of explosive sounds began to resonate continuously around them.

The Ministry of Magic had arrived.

”You’re lucky!” Oren suddenly smiled, ”Alright, I admit defeat.”

He tossed a cloth bag to Kael, which contained the unicorn foal.

The golden unicorn lay curled up peacefully inside, seemingly asleep.

”It’s you!” A Beater stepped forward, gritting his teeth, ”Oren Morris!”

He was the Beater captain who had once attempted to arrest Hagrid.

”We meet again, brave and kind Beater.”

Oren smiled, ”You had a chance to catch me last time, but you didn’t, I’m grateful for you cutting me some slack... oh, sorry, I forgot you dolts only knew about the Swooping Evil, and never found out who I was.

So, gratitude retracted, Mr. brave Beater.”

”You won’t escape this time!”

Hard pointed his wand at Oren, speaking solemnly, ”I’ll personally take you to Azkaban, let’s see if you can still manage a smile when facing a Dementor.”

”Sorry, I don’t fancy Dementors, can’t I skip it?”

Oren sighed, ”If possible, I’d rather stay at Hogwarts, being a Defence Against the Dark Arts professor was quite fun.”

”That’s not up to you!”

Hard waved his hand, and all the Beaters simultaneously raised their wands.

”Stupefy!”

”Expelliarmus!”

”Incarcerous!”

...

Dozens of spells flew towards Oren from all directions.

”What a pity, I haven’t graded the exams yet...”

Oren sighed again, and the high platform of leaves beneath him collapsed instantly.

Without support, Oren’s body began to fall, letting him evade all the spells.

The next second...

”Crack!”

The familiar sound of apparition echoed through the Forbidden Forest, while Oren’s figure disappeared.
