Ferocious Boss: Hubby, Let’s Get Married

Chapter 542: I like You, I Really like You

After she returned to the hotel, Ji Mianmian wanted to enter her room with Yan Qingsi.

Yan Qingsi looked up and finally said her first sentence, “I can do it myself.”

Yan Qingsi’s voice was hoarse — it was as if there was sand in her throat. It was hard to listen to.

Ji Mianmian was about to cry. “Sister, let me be with you.”

Ji Mianmian regretted leaving Yan Qingsi at the time. She kept thinking that if only she had continued following her, the murderer could not have gotten near her goddess.

Yan Qingsi pushed the door open. “Suit yourself.”

Little Xu signaled Ji Mianmian. Ji Mianmian followed and said, “Sister, sleep, I’ll stay here with you.”

Yan Qingsi entered the toilet, turned on the tap, and the water flowed right into her palms. The bloodstains on her hands were washed off easily.

Yan Qingsi kept rubbing her hands while washing them — her palms were getting more and more red from the rubbing.

Ji Mianmian started freaking out. She turned the tap off, grabbed a towel and handed it to Yan Qingsi. “Sister, dry your hands.”

Yan Qingsi mumbled, “Dry my hands? It’s not possible anymore…”

“Sister…” Ji Mianmian was confused.

Yan Qingsi asked suddenly, “Mianmian, do you like me?”

Ji Mianmian blushed. She said in embarrassment, “I like you, I really like you.”

Yan Qingsi’s lips moved. It’s so easy to tell someone you like them sometimes.

She replied, “Do you know what kind of person I am, do you know what I have done?”

Yan Qingsi did not even dare to think about what she had done. She had stolen, lied, and had blood on her hands — it was not possible for her to clean herself of her sins.

Ji Mianmian scratched her head. “I… I don’t know, maybe I don’t know you well enough just yet, but I will try my best, I don’t care what you had done, but I know what you’re doing now, I know you’re not the type of person as claimed online, I only believe in what I can see, the Yan Qingsi I can see is the most perfect goddess ever.”

After she was done, Ji Mianmian said in embarrassment, “I’m not really good at talking, I’ve always been dumb, my parents have always told me that my brain is missing a nerve, if I offended you in anyway, please don’t take it to heart, Sister.”

Yan Qingsi wanted to laugh, but she could not bring herself to. “No, you’re good… you’re very good… you don’t have to change anything, nothing good comes with being smart anyway.”

Genuine, worry-free, happy, and good.

This was the kind of person Yan Qingsi wished to be!

Yan Qingsi grabbed the towel from Ji Mianmian and dried her hands.

Ji Mianmian said, “Sister, rest, your eyes are really red, quick, go and sleep.”

Yan Qingsi did not say anything. She listened to Ji Mianmian, lied down, and shut her eyes.

Ji Mianmian let out a sigh of relief. It was good that she finally lied down — the sun came out, and shined through the window into the room. Ji Mianmian drew the curtains close and adjusted the air-conditioner to 25-degree celsius.

After she was done, Ji Mianmian pulled a chair and sat by the bed while watching Yan Qingsi. She was closing her eyes — who knew if she truly fell asleep. Ji Mianmian thought to herself, her goddess barely slept a wink and went through so much within a night — no matter how strong she was, she would be able to fall asleep in bed, wouldn’t she?

Ji Mianmian did not dare to let her guard down. She felt thankful that there was no shoot scheduled for today — otherwise, how could her goddess go to work in this state?

Ji Mianmian thought about this, and she had also barely slept a wink throughout the night. She sat by the bed and waited for an hour before starting to yawn. At first, she tried to stay awake by going to the toilet and washing her face with cold water.
