Ferocious Boss: Hubby, Let’s Get Married

Chapter 537: Yan Qingsi, Go To Hell!

Su Lil’ Three called out to Mrs. Yue, hesitated a bit, then said. “Auntie, the news of Yue Pengcheng returning, grandfather had found out…”

Mrs. Yue was shocked. “How did he find out? His heart is weak, what if triggers his heart condition?”

“You let your grandpa and grandma know, I’m fine. I’ve already seeked out justice for myself and I have come to acceptance. I couldn’t give a damn about trash like Yue Pengcheng. Just see how happy I am with my life now.”

Su Lil’s Three had something to say, but decided to swallow it back and nod along. “Alright…”

“Alright let’s go, we’re leaving now.” Mrs. Yue waved.

At that moment, Su Lil’ Five unexpectedly voiced out. “Auntie…”

Mrs. Yue was intrigued. “Is there something you want to say, Lil’ Five?”

Su Lil’ Five had been antisocial for many years, but over recent years started to improve bit by bit. However, he had far fewer words than a normal person. Hearing him talk, Mrs. Yue was rather surprised.

Su Lil’ Five was quiet for a few seconds. “Auntie, travel safe.”

Mrs. Yue lovingly touched Su Lil’ Five’s cheeks. “You’re such a good boy, so well behaved.”

As they watched Yan Qingsi and the rest drove away in the car, Su Lil’ Three asked. “Lil’ Five, why did you call out to Auntie earlier?”

Su Lil’ Five answered rather emotionlessly. “She seemed familiar.”

“She? Who…was it Yan Qingsi?”

“Mm…”

“She’s a celebrity. Perhaps you have seen her photos on the internet.”

“No…long time…”

“A long time ago?”

“Yes!”

Su Lil’ Three frowned and thought about it, then patted Su Lil’ Five on the shoulders. “Maybe you remembered wrongly, or…”

Su Lil’ Five stared at him. “My memory is correct. Grandmother’s photo album.”

Even though he did not speak much, his memory was excellent, almost at the level of memorizing with a glance.

Su Lil’ Three immediately comforted him. “Alright, we’ll go ask grandma for the photo album and have a look after we get home. Come on, let’s go find out second brother for some official business.”

The three brothers headed straight to Hai City Police Department and entered the Deputy Director’s office. Su Lil’ Six asked directly. “Second brother, where’s that kiddo?”

The person in police uniform sitting behind the office desk raised his head. “Follow me.”

…

Yue Tingfeng drove while Mrs. Yue dragged Yan Qingsi to sit along with her at the back closely huddle together. “This feels like our family of three going for vacation.”

When Yan Qingsi heard the words “family of three”, her eyes suddenly watered up.

She quickly turned her head around, looking away from Mrs yue and simply nodded. “Mm…”

“Ma, Just wait until Yan Qingsi finish shooting this show, I, as her boss will grant her a holiday. We’ll go for vacation wherever you want.”

Mrs. Yue replied happily. “That’s great…”

Yan Qingsi felt that she was not treating Mrs. Yue fairly. She really wanted her to be a family, yet she had kept a lot, a whole lot of secrets that she was unwilling to reveal.

Yan Qingsi took a deep breath and suppressed the bitterness within. “That’s wonderful! I think it’s about time to take a good rest.”

Yue Tingfeng laughed. “You should have taken a rest long ago.”

The three of them chatted all the way to the hotel.

The car pulled over in front of the hotel main doors and Yue Tingfeng tossed the keys to the bellboy, having him park the car at the basement carpark.

As the three were entering, they suddenly heard footsteps coming from behind. Mrs. Yue was the first to look around and saw a shadowy figure rushing forward with a knife in hand. Under the moonlight, the reflection shown a cold, gloomy glint, rushing directly towards Yan Qingsi.

Mrs. Yue was utter shocked and screamed at the top of her lungs. “Qingsi be careful…”

That shadowy figure rushed forth shouting. “Yan Qingsi, go to hell!”

Yan Qingsi spun around and saw that it was too late to get out of the way. Yue Tingfeng’s facial expression instantly changed, stretching his hands out to pull her away.

Yan Qingsi’s body was suddenly forcefully pushed aside and fell over to the side. Mrs. Yue was directly in front of her, blocking the attacker’s path.

Chapter 538: Don’t Leave Me Alone, I’m Scared!

That shadowy figure has reached Mrs. Yue. Yan Qingsi could only watch helplessly as the cold gleam of the knife disappeared in an instant.

Yan Qingsi’s pupil dilated. All sounds seemed to be distant, and the actions of people around her slowed down.

She heard Yue Tingfeng shouting: “Ma…”

She saw Mrs. Yue’s body falling slowly to the ground, like a kite with its strings cut.

At that moment, Yan Qingsi’s mind was blank, as though she was separated from this world.

Yue Tingfeng rushed forward and held onto Mrs. Yue, kicking that shadowy figure aside.

The hotel security guards were rushing quickly to the scene, pinning the assailant, made a police report, and called the ambulance.

In the middle of the night, the originally quiet hotel entrance was suddenly a bustling scene.

The assailant that was pinned to the ground muttered crazily: “She’s dead, dead…I really killed her…”

A knife was stuck in Mrs. Yue’s abdomen, blood gushing outwards from the wound. Her face was as white as a sheet of paper. The pain caused her body to go through bouts of cramps and her facial features tightly knit together.

Mrs. Yue’s was slowly losing touch with her senses along with the blood flowing out of her body.

Yue Tingfeng’s arms and legs were cold. He held onto Mrs. Yue’s hand, trembling. He tried very hard to smile, but it did not come. He said: “Ma…don’t panic, don’t panic. Everything is going to be okay. It’s just a little blood, it’s okay, it’s okay…”

Mrs. Yue was in so much pain that she could not speak. She took the chance while she was still conscious to look over and see how Yan Qingsi was holding up.

Yue Tingfeng took a quick look at Yan Qingsi, who was dumbstruck, quickly comforted Mrs. Yue: “Ma, Qingsi, Qingsi is fine…she’s fine. You just focus on yourself for now. The ambulance will be here shortly…”

Yue Tingfeng’s hand pressed on the wound, trying his best to slow down the blood loss.

The scent of blood in the air was getting stronger over time. Yan Qingsi felt as though she was plunged into a body of water without bottom, ever sinking. That fear wrapped around her tightly, the scarlet blood flowing out of Mrs. Yue’s body, along with the blood from her mother’s body in the past slowly intertwined and merged together.

Yan Qingsi wanted to say: “Mother, don’t die, don’t leave me alone. I’m scared…”

She opened her mouth, but her voice failed her. Her throat felt as though someone pinched her throat shut, an uncomfortable blockage, with the feeling of suffocation getting stronger…

Yue Tingfeng observed that Yan Qingsi’s face was losing color, with some faint rotting green color mixed with her ashen face. Her body was trembling nonstop. He gritted his teeth and shouted: “Yan Qingsi, wake up…Yan Qingsi, my Ma wants to see you, get over here.”

Yue Tingfeng’s voice broke Yan Qingsi’s trance. She shivered, bent over gasping for air, then slowly stood up with a hand on her chest.

Yan Qingsi wanted to have a look at Mrs. Yue, but she was afraid. She was nervous…scared of looking at Mrs. Yue.

Yan Qingsi turned around to look at the assailant that was pinned to the ground, her gaze calmed down slowly while her face started to show a killing intent that grew stronger by the second.

Yan Qingsi silently walked over and pushed aside the person holding down the assailant. She grabbed the assailant by the messy hair and finally got to see the assailant’s face: “It’s you…”

Yan Qingsi did not expect it to be Yan Mingzhu. She somehow managed to escape from the asylum. How did she escape?

Yan Mingzhu looked as though she was really crazy. She was laughing stupidly while continuously muttering: “Yan Qingsi is dead, dead…I killed her…I finally killed her…”

Her voice was already hoarse from all the screaming in the asylum and the medication. That was why Yan Qingsi could not identify her.
