Yue Tingfeng bought breakfast and drove to the studio. When he reached, Yan Qingsi was already in the shoot.

Yan Qingsi seemed serious and focused when she was working. Yue Tingfeng sat in Yan Qingsi’s seat. Other people did not know him, but they stared curiously after watching the ‘show’ between him, Qin Jingzhi, and Yan Qingsi.

Xiao Xu sat next to Yue Tingfeng. He was hugging Yan Qingsi’s bottle and he was ready to bring water over whenever the director called for it.

Yue Tingfeng watched Yan Qingsi as he held his chin. Her hair was up and her sleeves were long and wide—such grace and beauty. She bodied the part of an imperial concubine.

For the first time, Yue Tingfeng realized that Yan Qingsi’s beauty was beyond what was usually defined by society.

Yue Tingfeng asked Xiao Xu, “When will this part of the shoot end?”

“There’s still a while to go.” Little Xu carefully looked at Yue Tingfeng—his eyes did not leave Yan Qingsi at all. “Chief Yue, don’t you think Sister Qingsi looks exceptionally good when she’s shooting?”

Yue Tingfeng cleared his throat. “It’s alright, just good enough to watch.”

Xiao Xu pursed his lips. ‘If it’s only alright, why are you still staring?’

Yue Tingfeng thought to himself, why did Yan Qingsi’s shoot take so long? The breakfast was getting cold. All of a sudden, his gaze was blocked by someone. It was a woman, saying, “Are you… Chief Yue?”

Yue Tingfeng did not bother lifting his head and his face turned long. “Go away.”‘Don’t interrupt my view.’

Xiao Xu looked up and realize it was Lu Yunyun, a mildly popular actress who was a concubine in the show. She seemed sweet and endearing and she asked with a smile, “Chief Yue, I’m sorry, I knew you looked familiar from yesterday. At a party a year ago… I’ve met you then, I did not dare to approach you about it… until just now. Nice to meet you, I’m Lu Yunyun.”

Xiao Xu felt uneasy. Lu Yunyun was a cheerful and lively person and had a good relationship with people in the crew. However, did she have an ulterior motive talking to Chief Yue while Sister Qingsi was in a shoot, or did she only want to say hello?

Lu Yunyun did not seem like a calculative woman. She had a bright smile with two little eye teeth and was someone who would make one put one’s guard down easily.

Yue Tingfeng did not look at her at all, he also ignored her hand that was hanging in the air.

Lu Yunyun pulled her hand back in embarrassment. She scratched her head and asked, “Chief Yue… am I bothering you?”

Yue Tingfeng told Xiao Xu impatiently, “Why are you doing nothing? It’s summer, there are flies going around, make it go away. The buzzing is giving me a headache.”

Xiao Xu’s mouth flinched. He was about to laugh at what he just heard.

Xiao Xu stood up. “Miss Lu, I think it’s time for your shoot.”

Lu Yunyun seemed anxious and did not leave. “Chief Yue, please give me a few minutes, I have something… I need to ask for your help. My brother works in your company, he…”

“What are you talking about behind my back?” Yan Qingsi held her dress up and walked over as she interrupted Lu Yunyun’s sentence. She had a smirk on her face as she stared at Yue Tingfeng and Lu Yunyun.

Yue Tingfeng stretched his long leg to drag over the chair Xiao Xu was sitting on. “Sit down.”

Lu Yunyun felt embarrassed and worried when she saw Yan Qingsi. “I’m sorry, Sister Qingsi, I recognized Chief Yue, just wanted to come over and say hello. My brother also works at Chief Yue’s company, so… I just wanted… to meet him, don’t overthink it.”
