Global Game: I Have Portable Store

Although the Expedition Corps was stronger than before, it wasn’t without difficulties; they were targeted by a flying Tier Seven Creature.

It was a creature with a body over ten meters long, gray shiny feathers interspersed with purple crystals, looking like an eagle. Every time it approached, it would swoop into the undead tide, snatch up more than ten zombies and fly high into the sky accompanied by the howling wind.

Normally, Tier Seven Extraordinary Creatures wouldn’t be interested in such trash food as zombies, unless they were truly starving.

Su Changxing also noticed that this eagle-like extraordinary creature was not hunting for food but rather toying with and teasing the undead tide, grabbing more than ten and flying them high into the sky, then dropping them into the undead tide, smashing them to bits, only to repeat the process once more while screeching with a mocking tone.

The undead tide had almost no countermeasures against such a nimble and flying extraordinary creature, merely watching passively as they were attacked.

Fortunately, the eagle attacking the undead tide also kept it in combat status, continuously triggering hunger, so after several hours, the undead tide had hardly lost any numbers.

Some zombies whose bodies were smashed into pulp still managed to stand up again, relying on hunger to regenerate their flesh!

Later, the eagle seemed to get bored and flew away, facing a toy that doesn’t retaliate but is also hard to kill is indeed uninteresting.

A vast desert lay ahead, with white frost-covered withered trees standing on the barren terrain. Besides this, there was also a conspicuous giant skeleton amidst the desolate environment.

The undead tide left the city’s area and entered the wilderness.

Here, the energy density was high, and along the way, they encountered several Tier Seven Extraordinary Creatures, but only looking briefly at the undead tide from afar before losing interest and turning away.

If the undead tide wanted to hunt Tier Seven Extraordinary Creatures, it would have the best chance by surrounding them. They divided into five groups moving parallel in the desert, prepared to encircle extraordinary creatures if encountered.

Soon, they came across a giant white frost withered tree, over a hundred meters tall, seemingly covered with white snow. It was evidently unusual.

Su Changxing estimated that this must be an extraordinary creature rather than just a tree and controlled the undead tide to encircle it from two directions. Before getting close, more than ten zombies on the periphery were dragged under the desert by something.

Entering the opponent’s attack range, the undead tide seemed invigorated, flooding towards the white frost withered tree, forming an encirclement.

The white frost withered tree was also provoked, immediately sprouting hundreds of dead branches from the desert to entangle nearby zombies and dragging them underground. However, faced with a massive undead tide, its attack frequency was clearly insufficient. Shortly after, swiftly moving zombies approached, with one speed-type extraordinary zombie already reaching less than twenty meters from the tree.

Then, that zombie abruptly stopped, its body seemingly confined by some force, unable to move.

Immediately afterwards, the zombies that followed were also confined, halting in place, unable to move. As more zombies approached, the number trapped increased.

This was some ability of the white frost withered tree, able to confine nearby creatures, yet lacking any damage capability, merely imprisonment.

Such a tactic might work on other creatures, but against the vast number of the undead tide, it seemed ineffective; more and more zombies approached, surely surpassing the tree’s control limit.

Almost a thousand zombies were confined on the spot, which was the tree’s limit, while other zombies surged from the sides, drawing closer to the tree.

The tree unleashed numerous branches to keep striking approaching zombies, temporarily halting the undead tide’s advance.

At this moment.

The New Human Expedition Corps members were monitoring this scene, watching the undead tide surround and attack the White Frost Withered Tree like a hunter capturing prey.

”Hiss—”

”These must be the undead tide controlled by that earlier zombie, otherwise they wouldn’t have such discipline, attacking the White Frost Withered Tree like a group of barbarians.” A female member with a yellow cap and an iron box on her back remarked, having never seen such a peculiar sight.

”The White Frost Withered Tree is among the strongest in Tier Seven creatures. Are these zombies really their match? It seems so bizarre.” Sena furrowed her brow; they were also here to find the White Frost Withered Tree.

The body of the White Frost Withered Tree could serve as fuel for the Fireplace Tower, a premium material, with one tree capable of sustaining the tower’s fire for six months.

They were surprised that those seemingly weak zombies were indeed approaching the White Frost Withered Tree step by step.

”The speed of these zombies is abnormal, even ordinary zombies are faster than typical Tier Nine creatures.” Sena immediately caught onto something, ”It’s unclear what happened beyond the border causing such a significant change in this undead tide.”

A fellow member nearby appeared indifferent, ”Even if these zombies are relatively strong, could they really take down this White Frost Withered Tree?”

Though zombies were countless in this world, they were always the lowest of creatures, regarded as trash, even an undead tide typically posed little threat.

Sena shook her head, her expression serious, ”Do not underestimate these zombies. History has witnessed many powerful zombie-type creatures, with even a frontier city being destroyed by one.”
