I'm Pretending to Cultivate in Kindergarten

Chapter 148: Chapter 133: 2 People Getting Jealous

Lin Zhengran was practically suffocated by her clothes pressing against him.

But Xiao Heqing kept urging him, ”Hurry up and smell it!”

Lin Zhengran sighed helplessly. ”You don’t have to get this close, I can definitely smell it. I’ve smelled it since we were very little. You have a distinct, milky scent on you.”

”A milky scent?” Xiao Heqing’s flushed cheeks looked incredibly endearing. She stared up at Lin Zhengran. ”Really? I actually have the scent of some dairy product on me?”

”Yeah, kind of like milk, I guess? It carries a unique sweetness that I can’t quite describe. Can’t you smell it yourself?”

Xiao Heqing shook her head shyly. ”Of course not! And I’ve never heard anyone else say I smell like that. You’re the only one who can.” Suddenly, a memory struck her. ”Oh, right! When I was a kid, there was this one time I accidentally spilled milk all over myself. My mom even said I reeked of milk that day. Do you think it’s from then...”

Lin Zhengran chuckled. ”How long ago was that? Of course not. It’s just your natural scent.”

Xiao Heqing didn’t quite understand, but she only cared about one thing. ”Do you think it smells good, then? Do you like it?”

Seeing Lin Zhengran nod, she finally broke into a happy, silly grin.

”You said you could smell my scent too?” Lin Zhengran asked. ”What does it smell like?”

He Qing thought for a moment, examining his upper body as she bit her lower lip. ”It’s hard to describe... It’s a *cool* scent.”

”Huh? You can describe a person’s scent as *cool*?”

”I don’t know, but it really is a distinct, cool smell! It’s not exactly a fragrance, I suppose? But it smells really good. Because of this scent, whenever I’m alone with you, I always want to get a little closer so I can smell it more.”

The two shared a smile and embraced each other once again.

Xiao Heqing whispered in his ear, ”Lin Zhengran, it’s okay if you get together with Lili too. I might not be the most open-minded person, but with a little coaxing from you, I’d probably end up agreeing to let you have several girlfriends in a daze. So, I can accept this. But... could you not ’skip ahead’ with her?”

”Me, skip ahead with her? When did I ever do that?”

Thinking he genuinely didn’t understand, He Qing explained, ”Don’t you know what ’skipping ahead’ means? I didn’t know either until Wenwen taught me. It means that if a guy has multiple girlfriends, you, as the man of the house, can’t just do everything with one specific girl while only holding hands with the rest...”

For once, her tone was firm, though her voice remained as sweet as ever. ”Besides, the main thing is that I met you first! I’ve known you since kindergarten. You taught me how to not let others bully me, and you taught me so many other things. When it comes to intimacy, even if someone is going to skip ahead, it should be me and you! It can’t be you and...”

At this point, she caught Lin Zhengran’s bewildered gaze and realized her words had come out completely wrong. Just a moment ago, she was saying he couldn’t skip ahead, but now she was saying he *could* skip ahead with her...

Xiao Heqing couldn’t help but laugh at herself. She lowered her head shyly. ”I don’t even know what to say anymore, but anyway, my point is...” She stared at him with earnest eyes, her warm breath puffing against his skin. ”Since she kissed you, I want to kiss you too! And I want to do it more than Lili did. I want to kiss you twice... Is that okay?”

Lin Zhengran gently stroked her soft, fair cheek, causing her to blink at him with adorkable innocence. Those almond-shaped eyes quietly waited for his answer, only brightening when she saw him yield.

”Alright then,” Lin Zhengran asked. ”Where do you want to kiss me?”

”For the first one, I want to kiss your neck too! But I want to kiss the other side, because Lili already kissed this side.”

Lin Zhengran turned his head, exposing his neck. ”Go ahead.”

Bursting with joy, Xiao Heqing leaned in close. She stared at his inviting skin, swallowed nervously, and slowly parted her lips to press a kiss against it. However, she didn’t pull away immediately. Instead, she kept her arms wrapped around his neck, closed her eyes, and lingered, savoring the feeling of her lips against his skin.

It was obvious that witnessing Jiang Xueli and Lin Zhengran earlier had made her far more jealous than she let on. She didn’t want this first kiss to end so quickly.

Lin Zhengran indulged her, holding Xiao Heqing’s sweet-scented body in his arms. He wasn’t entirely sure if this even counted as a kiss—it felt more like she was just resting her lips against his neck for a little while.

After a long moment, Xiao Heqing finally pulled back. This time, genuine happiness radiated from her face, with a bright, rosy flush spreading all the way to the tips of her ears.

”There’s one more,” Lin Zhengran reminded her. ”Where do you want to kiss this time?”

Xiao Heqing’s gaze roamed over his features, tracing from his ears to his eyes, down to his nose, and finally settling on his lips. Her heartbeat inexplicably quickened. Staring intently at his mouth, she thought, ”It should be fine to kiss him anywhere, right? His tone made it sound like anywhere is fine.”

”This time... I want us to k—”

Before the word *kiss* could leave her mouth, a sudden noise came from the bathroom door. That tiny sound was enough to spook Xiao Heqing. Like a startled kitten, she scrambled off Lin Zhengran in a frantic, clumsy panic and planted herself obediently back on the side.

Han Wenwen emerged from the bathroom at that exact moment. ”I’m done changing. What are you two...”

The Little Fox’s vixen-like eyes stared blankly at Xiao Heqing, who was sitting there looking like the picture of perfect obedience, head bowed, face flushed red, and lips pressed tightly together.

”Qingqing? Your face is so red.”

Xiao Heqing hastily threw her hands over her cheeks, trying to cover her entire face. ”N-No, it’s not! It’s not red at all!”

Lin Zhengran chuckled and turned to Han Wenwen. ”Done changing, Wenwen? You look great.”
