I'm Pretending to Cultivate in Kindergarten

Chapter 98: Chapter 98: Wishes and the Clingy Han Wenwen

In the single shower stall of the girls’ dormitory, the SPLASH of running water turned into steam, enveloping Xiao Heqing’s flawless, jade-like body. She reached out her fair, delicate hand to pump out some body wash. Using a bath sponge, she worked it into a rich lather and applied it to her arms and neck. Tilting her head back, she enjoyed the feeling of the hot water washing away a week’s worth of accumulated fatigue, unconsciously letting out a sigh. ”That feels so good...”

After finishing her shower, she wrapped her wet, long hair in a towel, slipped into her pajamas, and stepped out.

Back in the dorm room.

Seeing Han Wenwen blow-drying her hair, Xiao Heqing sat comfortably on her bed and let out a long breath. ”That was so relaxing! At first, I thought this high school didn’t have individual shower rooms, which made me go out to bathe for the past few weeks.”

”I just found out about it too. I’m done blow-drying my hair. Are you going to dry yours in a bit?”

”Yeah, I’ll wait a little.”

Han Wenwen looked at Xiao Heqing, whose skin was flushed and rosy after her shower. Putting down the hair dryer, she sat down next to her, leaned in, and took a sniff. ”Qingqing smells so good...”

Xiao Heqing blushed and gently pushed her away. ”Wenwen! Stop messing around. What do you mean ’smells good’? It’s just the scent of the body wash.”

Han Wenwen found a comb and sat back down, gently running it through her friend’s hair. ”The body wash is only part of it. Don’t you know that girls have their own natural body scent, Qingqing?”

Xiao Heqing blinked in surprise. ”Body scent? I’ve heard of it... but is that really a thing?”

Han Wenwen gave a meaningful smile. Covering her mouth, she whispered into Xiao Heqing’s ear, ”Rumor has it that if a girl hasn’t gone all the way with a guy, she’ll have a special fragrance on her body. And only her Mr. Right will be able to smell it.”

Xiao Heqing’s face turned beet red. ”You read too many novels, Wenwen. I don’t believe that at all. It’s too ridiculous.”

Han Wenwen continued combing her hair, sticking to her point. ”What’s so hard to believe? If you don’t believe me, Qingqing, you can find a chance to ask Lin Zhengran next time. Have him smell you and see if you have a special scent.”

Just the thought of it made Xiao Heqing feel bashful. She lowered her head and pulled the quilt up around herself, sitting huddled in the blankets. ”I would never ask him something like that... It sounds so perverted.”

This made Han Wenwen laugh uncontrollably. ”You are just too cute, Qingqing.” However, she soon seemed to notice something. Her smile came to an abrupt halt, freezing on her face.

Noticing that Han Wenwen was sitting there blankly with no reaction, Xiao Heqing asked, ”Wenwen? Why did you stop talking? Why do you keep staring at me?”

Han Wenwen blinked her fox-like eyes, staring at He Qing curled up on the bed. Her well-endowed upper half pushed tightly against her pajamas, making certain areas look exceptionally enticing.

”Qingqing... How did I not notice this before? Did you fill out this well after starting high school?”

”Huh? Fill out this well?” He Qing didn’t understand, so she followed her friend’s gaze and looked down at herself. Her face visibly turned red enough to steam, and she hurriedly used the quilt to completely cover her body.

”Wenwen! What are you talking about!”

Han Wenwen looked down at her own slightly flat shirt and sighed in disappointment. ”Why don’t I have much?” She turned her head to look at her backside. ”It seems like only this part developed. I originally thought both the front and back would turn out well.”

Xiao Heqing really didn’t know why they would end up talking about this kind of topic every time she was alone with Wenwen. Although she also wanted to chat about it, they definitely talked about it a bit too much on a regular basis. ”Wenwen, let’s stop talking about this for now. I have something important I want to discuss with you.”

Han Wenwen looked at Xiao Heqing, having already guessed what it was about. She smiled and got up to go to the balcony to gather the dried laundry, anticipating the question. ”I know exactly what’s on your mind right now, Qingqing. You want to ask me about the match after you and Lin Zhengran go back to the small town next week, right? Back then, Lin Zhengran said that if you won the match, he would grant you one wish. After we discussed it, your wish was to hold hands, isn’t that so?”

Xiao Heqing gripped the quilt and nodded, her voice soft and sweet. ”Yes, it’s about that... Wenwen, tell me, if I win the match and want to h-hold hands with him, would he agree to it?”

While sorting the socks, Han Wenwen suddenly remembered strolling through the snack street with Lin Zhengran a few days ago. She turned around and asked curiously, ”Why wouldn’t he agree? Our Qingqing is basically Lin Zhengran’s girlfriend now, right? It’s just holding hands; he won’t reject it. Besides, hasn’t he even carried you on his back before?”

Xiao Heqing bit her lip, her blushing face revealing a slight lack of confidence. ”That may be true. The two of us have done many things together since we were little, but I’ve never once done any of the intimate things that couples do with him. If... if I really manage to hold his hand, I think our relationship would basically be confirmed...”

Looking at Xiao Heqing’s shy expression and imagining the future where she and Lin Zhengran might be holding hands, a sudden pang of jealousy flashed across Han Wenwen’s face. But this jealousy quickly vanished. Sitting back down beside He Qing, she happily cheered on her best friend. ”You can do it! It’ll definitely work out. Just be bold and bring it up to him when the time comes.”

Xiao Heqing smiled as well, no longer hesitating. ”Mhm.”
