Raising Yanderes to save the world

/And just like that, the young goddess lost her temper and devoured everything. That makes for an amusing story, won’t you agree?/

The corruption asked Kael, but his eyes were focused on the dead body in the goddess’s arms. For some reason, it felt familiar.

No, rather than familiar...

’Isn’t that my body? Can this really be a coincidence?’

/There is nothing like a coincidence in this world. There is only inevitability and the reason behind the cause. And right now, you will see the birth of the first calamity of this world—a goddess who has lost everything and thus has nothing else to lose./

...

Goddess Aria’s powers exploded, and they began to engulf the world around her.

”Hey, what are you doing? If you do this, then your very sense of self will-”

”I no longer care about myself. I already lost all I wanted and needed. What else is left in my long life to look forward to? It will be better to embrace this feeling of destruction inside me.”

The goddess whispered before she closed her eyes and allowed her body to merge with her soul.

She could feel her body melting and merging into a new being. She was losing her form, but her new senses were helping her spread and find the fragments of what she had lost.

Soon, she would have her follower...no, beloved’s body in her arms once more. She was going to find all the traces of this person and make them hers.

And that was how the corruption came to be.

...

/Isn’t that a touching story? The goddess who only had one thing left lost that as well, and thus, she became a terror to this world. What do you think about this, my dear Kael?/

The corruption asked, and Kael had nothing to say to it.

What was happening was the past of this world, something that had already happened a long time ago.

Even if it was a tragedy, there was no way to change it.

Still, maybe it was because the goddess looked like Seraphina, or maybe it was because she was so sad and broken, but he felt sorry for her. A part of his heart felt like he needed to help her and save her from her fate.

”I...”

/Do you feel sorry for the goddess? But she almost destroyed this world. Isn’t she an enemy you should hate?/

The corruption asked, and Kael almost nodded before he frowned.

”For some reason, I cannot think of the goddess as a bad person. Different people react differently to stress and grief. She was just mourning something she lost as well.”

It must be because the goddess looked like Seraphina. Otherwise, why would Kael say these words?

Why would he feel like his heart was breaking when he looked at the goddess’s crying form as she mutated?

/Oh wow! To think that your essence has not changed even after all this time. I knew that waiting here would be worth it. Now, there is no longer a reason for me to hold myself back./

The corruption whispered before she reached out to lightly graze Kael’s cheeks. But this time, he did not feel like pulling back.

He felt like he could allow the corruption, no, the goddess, this much dignity and freedom.

Behind him, he could feel the goddess struggling with the corruption, and in order to preserve her sanity, she split her soul into parts.

And soon, her soul took the form of people he knew.

/Have you started to guess now why it had to be you who completed that world magic? It was because that bastard knew you were my only weakness. You had no idea how happy I was when you were reborn with my fragments. I started to lose control and wanted to be reborn as soon as possible./

/But my hastiness started to make me lose control of myself, and as a result, you ended up dying. So I proposed a deal to my fragments—a way to bring you back while increasing my strength as well./

”Now, I am no longer just a fragment, but I have started to become whole.”

The corruption’s voice was becoming clearer and clearer. It...no, she was gaining a form that allowed her to do what she pleased.

Kael could confidently say that the goddess was back. Perhaps not in the form that she wanted, but she was undoubtedly back and ready to show the world who she was once more.

”My dear follower, I am back. And soon, this world and its god will reap what they have sown. They will no longer be able to control this world and our fate.”

Aria whispered, and Kael had a feeling there was no way to stop her now other than for him to beg her.

”We will finally be together for all eternity, and not even that fragment of the other god, his hero, will be able to stop me this time.”

The goddess sounded confident, and Kael breathed a deep sigh.

He had a feeling that Leon was not a normal person either, but the corruption had just confirmed it. He was a part of the current god of this world.

So what about Seraphina? He had a feeling she was the fragment that this goddess spoke of.

And she was likely not the only one.

’Then, perhaps everyone whom the world magic asked me to help...’

They were all parts of this goddess and made her up. No wonder it had to be Kael who saved them.

Did he even have a choice in this matter? And why did he not feel bad about it? Instead, he felt glad that he was chosen for this role.

”My dear follower, don’t think too much about it. Your goddess is finally back, and she will take care of you. Soon, this world, my fragments, those filthy gods, none of it will matter anymore, and we will be able to live a carefree life with each other.”
