Reborn As Noble

Turka Region.

The Pleasure District.

High-end establishment known as The Gilded Lotus, reserved for officers and nobility.

The General of the Turka Army was laughing out loud, thoroughly enjoying himself in a private room draped in velvet and silk. Three women attended to him—one sat on his lap, giggling as he whispered crude promises into her ear, while the other two flanked him, leaning into his touch as he groped their breasts and squeezed their butt.

He slammed a heavy gold coin onto the low table, making the nearby platters rattle.

”Oi! Bring us more food and wine!” he bellowed toward the curtained entrance. A servant bowed quickly and scurried away.

”My little doves~ Tonight, we celebrate! More wine! More food!”

One of the women poured more wine into his cup. ”General~ Here, your sweet drink~” The girl lifted the cup and sipped from it, letting a trickle spill down her chin.

The general grinned and pulled her closer, his mouth meeting hers as he drank the wine directly from her lips. His hand slid roughly under her thin silk top, groping her breast without restraint.

”I like you~ You’ll be the first girl I entertain tonight~”

”Oh~ Naughty General~” The girl slapped his chest playfully, which arouse him further, his eyes darkening with lust.

The general started pushing her down onto the long couch while the other girls helped him undress slowly.

But he was interrupted by several Turka officers, accompanied by a squad of soldiers, storming into the private room. The officers stood rigid, their expressions grim, their hands resting on their weapons, while the soldiers fanned out, blocking all exits.

”General! You are under arrest for treason and gross dereliction of duty!”

”What is all this about, huh!!?” he shouted toward the officers, his face twisted with rage. ”Do you know who I am, you assholes!? How dare you interrupt a high-ranking general! I’ll have your ranks stripped, you pieces of shit!”

The officers exchanged serious glances, and one of them stepped forward, holding out a sealed scroll bearing Lord Turka’s personal insignia.

”We have received Lord Turka’s direct order to capture and detain you, General. We have full authority to use force if you resist. Surrender now.”

The other officer stepped forward, his voice cold and formal. ”Now, General. Come with us quietly.”

”Don’t you dare touch me! I am the Turka Army General!” the general roared, hastily adjusting his clothes in a fury.

The officer signaled to the soldiers, who moved in to detain him.

”Hands off me, you pieces of lower-born scum! I’ll have your heads by tomorrow!” he snarled, struggling against their hold.

The officer then glared at the general, his expression unyielding. ”We’re sorry to inform you, but your rank has already been stripped by the direct order of Lord Turka himself.” He held the official decree up to the general’s face, the Lord’s seal clearly visible, as the soldiers tightened their grip from behind.

”W... what!? No! This can’t be! I didn’t do anything wrong!!” The general’s face drained of color, his eyes wide with shock and disbelief.

”Didn’t do anything wrong, traitor?” The officer looked at him with utter disgust. ”Instead of informing Lord Turka about the Armand army’s presence at the Tybalt border, you ordered the captain’s assistant to launch a full-scale attack without authorization. You sent over ten thousand soldiers to their deaths and lost all of Lord Turka’s new weapons in a single, reckless move.”

”W... what!? I... I never did such a thing!” the general sputtered, his voice trembling with panic as he tried to defend himself. ”This is a mistake! A setup!”

”Save your lame excuses for Lord Turka later. Because of you, we lost every soldier we sent to conquer Tybalt, and we lost all the new weapons Lord Turka bought from the royal capital.”

Before the general could protest further, one of the soldiers drove a fist hard into his stomach, doubling him over. Another soldier followed with a brutal kick to his ribs, and the officer joined in, striking him across the face with the back of his gauntlet.

”How does it feel when we kick you back, huh!? You old scum? You treated us like trash and thought you were better than any of us? You traitor!”

After the beating, they dragged him roughly out of the pleasure house, his face bruised and bloodied, and threw him into a waiting prisoner’s carriage.

The officer mounted his horse, and the others followed suit.

He shouted toward the soldier driving the prisoner’s carriage, ”Bring this traitor to our Lord!”

”Yes, sir!”

”Everyone, make sure to surround this traitor’s carriage. Don’t let anyone come near!”

”Yes, sir!”

”Let’s move!”

The procession began, the clatter of hooves and the rumble of wheels echoing through the darkened streets as they made their way toward Lord Turka’s estate.

Meanwhile, upstairs in the pleasure house, a man in a dark robe watched from a shadowed window, a cold smirk on his lips.

”Serves you right, old man. Soon, my master will take your rank. This is what you get when you force yourself on another man’s wife, ruin his family, and use your power to destroy commoner lives. You make us suffer for your own pleasure.” His voice was low, filled with bitter satisfaction. ”You made my wife take her own life after you violated her. You thought your rank made you untouchable. I can’t wait to see your head roll on the ground.”

He smirked again, his eyes glinting with vengeful resolve. ”Don’t worry. There’s more ’proof’ coming your way soon. This time, you won’t be able to hide your wrongdoing. And I will make sure your own lord punishes you and your entire family.”

Your whole family. Who think they are above the law because you are the general. Your sons, who bully and extort merchants. Your wife, who treats servants like trash and ruins the lives of anyone who displeases her. You’ve all made everyone beneath you suffer for far too long.

Too bad, old man. You and your whole family won’t even survive this. I made sure those letters are filled with your mana signature. I erased any trace related to anyone else, only yours remains. The handwriting, the wax seal, the magical imprint... all of it points directly to you. The proof is flawless.

The robed man smirked, watching as the carriage was swallowed by the darkness. He slowly turned from the window, his form dissolving into the shadows of the room before slipping out of the pleasure house unseen, vanishing into the night like a ghost.
