Wizard: Scamming a Demon God

Chapter 531: Chapter 382: Stuck Between a Rock and a Hard Place

Meanwhile, long before Isaac even made his move, the Eldest Prince of the Terra Kingdom was already distressed by his arrival.

As someone who had rapidly ascended from an Ordinary human to a Tier Four Miracle Mage—and a top-tier combatant at that—coupled with his even more infamous title of Mad Witch, his every move was now being watched by all the major powers.

At least, that was the case for any major, public actions, unless he deliberately concealed his whereabouts.

However, Isaac had made no effort to hide his movements this time. In fact, not only did he not hide them, he had even gone out of his way to formally notify the four major powers!

Therefore, basically every major power in this Little World was aware of his arrival. This was why Gaia had been able to meet him the moment he descended and give him the Crystal Ball and the ring. It had all been prepared in advance.

The other three powers, however, merely kept a cautious eye on his arrival and nothing more. They had no intention of taking further action. Their decision was already made: whatever Isaac wanted, as long as it wasn’t too excessive, they would give it to him. Even for things that were inconvenient to hand over, they could put up a token fight before conceding, provided he didn’t cross their bottom line. There was no need to fight a madman like him to the death.

But for the Terra Kingdom, the situation was entirely different...

Especially since the one in charge of this front was the Eldest Prince...

At this thought, everyone in the meeting couldn’t help but steal furtive glances at the Eldest Prince, who sat at the head of the table with a grim expression. The Authority he possessed had been stolen from that Mad Witch’s own older brother!

’Stealing from the family of a Mad Witch who steals from people—no, from Gods...’

’That was really tempting fate!’

Of course, they also knew that when the Authority was stolen, Isaac wasn’t a Mad Witch yet; he hadn’t even been born. So, things couldn’t really be viewed that way.

But while that was the logical way to see it, how *he* would see it was another matter entirely...

It was bizarre for an utterly insane Mad Witch to care about family ties, but unfortunately, the facts seemed to suggest that he did. That man genuinely cared about his family.

Or perhaps it was that his entire family, aside from the somewhat foolish second son, was not only exceptional but also incredibly close-knit. Therefore, even though he hadn’t made a move yet, they had every reason to believe that his coming here meant he would absolutely clash with them!

In the meeting room, even though all the attendees were present, the scheduled start time had passed, and the agenda had reached the discussion phase...

...a strange silence still filled the room.

It couldn’t be helped. They were completely at a loss. His objective didn’t require much guesswork. They had sent him direct and indirect requests for aid time and time again for various reasons, but he had never responded. Now, he had openly applied to the four powers to enter this world, and had come through the Flesh Sect’s World Gate. The implication was obvious.

Whatever the case, he wasn’t here to help them.

And if he wasn’t here to help, that made him an enemy.

Thus, there was no need to discuss the reason for Isaac’s visit. What they needed to discuss was how to deal with him, but...

...that, too, seemed to be a topic not worth discussing. The facts were plain to see...

He... was invincible!

At least, at the Tier Four level!

Although the Eldest Prince, as a newly advanced Tier Four who had perfectly mastered ”Boundless,” had also demonstrated near-absolute dominance in Tier Four combat and was portrayed as invincible in the Terra Kingdom’s official propaganda.

But...

’Propaganda like that was one thing for fooling outsiders, but you couldn’t let yourself get taken in by it!’

Isaac’s personal strength was already immense, and he also had a host of Tier Four Servant Demons that were like Deities...

’How the fuck were they supposed to fight that?!’

So, while the meeting was in session, they truly had no idea what to say. They couldn’t beat him in a fight, and as for negotiating peace...

...that seemed impossible too.

At the head of the conference table, the Eldest Prince wore a grim expression. He was well aware of what everyone was thinking, and it was the very thing he feared. Even he had little confidence in facing Isaac...

’Most importantly, the guy is a Mad Witch!’

’He’s like a fucking cesspit—if you kill him, the Outer God Power he wields will instantly detonate, providing an exceptionally powerful Anchor Point for the Outer Gods!’

This situation would persist until after Tier Five, at which point a Mad Witch would have truly assimilated all the foreign power and made it their own.

Of course, generally speaking, upon reaching Tier Five, as long as they didn’t die in the process, a Mad Witch would naturally earn the title of Demigod, and at that point, it would be anyone’s guess who was killing whom.

It was worth noting that the Eldest Prince had once yearned for this kind of power. It meant that as long as you didn’t go out of your way to incur universal wrath and make mortal enemies of everyone, you would face virtually no external hindrances before reaching Tier Five.

Take his sister Philo, for example. Even without the protection promised by the Demigod Mage that the Emperor had brought, her status as a Mad Witch meant she had a high probability of surviving, even if every other member of the Royal Family were to die.

Firstly, because Mad Witches were generally mentally unstable, no one would worry about her seeking revenge. Secondly, for the vast majority of Mad Witches, advancing to Tier Five was a dead end; only a tiny fraction of them survived.

A tiny fraction!

The maddest of the mad!

’So, having a protective charm like that on your side felt great. But when the enemy had one...’

’...it was incredibly infuriating!’

’To be honest, I’m not certain I can win even if I go all out, but it’s not like I have no chance at all. The problem lies in ’going all out.’ Once I unleash my full power, it won’t be easy to pull back if I actually start winning. What am I supposed to do if I kill him?’

’But losing would be a fucking disaster too!’

’It was a complete catch-22!’

Ultimately, the meeting ended in silence...

It wasn’t as if they had a choice. There was too much to do for them all to remain deadlocked there. Besides, there really were no other options. Anyone could see that Isaac had come with ill intent. The only path forward was to fight!

Time passed slowly. Five days after Isaac’s arrival in Brurel, a brilliant light soared into the sky above Terra Royal City. When the light dissipated, it revealed the figures of Isaac and his companions.

Opposite them, the Eldest Prince, Morgan Terra, stood suspended above the city. He was clad in silver-white armor that looked as if cast from solid ice, glowing with a soft moonlight. Silver magical runes pulsed across its surface as if breathing. His cape hung straight down, stirring without a wind.

The city below was deathly silent. He hung in solemn stillness, neither rising nor falling, like a silver nail hammered into the fabric of space and time.

Seeing this, Isaac paused for a moment, then couldn’t help but chuckle. ”What’s... all this? I don’t recall you being this serious even when your father died.”
