Marvel: All My Incarnations Are S-Class Villainesses

Chapter 14: Chapter 14: Natasha and Reze, A Narrow Encounter

However...

Whether it was the shrewd Tony Stark or the pervasive S.H.I.E.L.D....

At this moment, they all made a fatal mistake.

They focused all their attention on the Devil named ”Bomb,” naturally assuming that a being with such power must be a loner or an ultimate weapon meticulously cultivated by some organization, always in a state of high alert.

No one would have thought...

This ”Devil Girl” who had made Iron Man suffer and put S.H.I.E.L.D. on high alert...

At this very moment, was hiding in that cozy, newly rented apartment in Queens, enjoying the lazy time of an ordinary person.

The setting sun spilled across the floor through the floor-to-ceiling windows.

Reze had already changed into a loose and comfortable home T-shirt, sitting cross-legged on the carpet, holding an extremely ordinary Double Cheeseburger that Sumire had just bought from the fast-food joint downstairs.

Munch munch munch munch munch

It wasn’t even anything high-end, just the kind of junk food that cost a few dollars and left grease stains on the wrapping paper, but Reze ate it with great relish, her feet swinging back and forth, her face full of contentment.

Sumire sat beside her, also holding the same kind of burger, getting ready to take a bite.

Suddenly, a head leaned over.

”Awoo!” Reze unceremoniously took a big bite out of the burger in Sumire’s hand.

”Hey!” Sumire looked at her burger with a piece missing and couldn’t help but complain, ”Don’t you have one in your hand? And we share senses! You eat yours, and I eat mine, the taste that reaches the brain is the same, isn’t it?”

”That’s different.” Reze chewed the stolen food contentedly, a sly and somewhat mischievous smile appearing on that face that had just been classified as ”extremely dangerous” by S.H.I.E.L.D., ”Food tastes better when I steal it from you.”

”And...”

Reze leaned closer to Sumire, their noses almost touching, and smirked, ”I like seeing you look so helpless against me.”

Sumire was about to roll her eyes in protest when something was suddenly stuffed into her mouth.

Two slices of sour, green Pickled Cucumbers.

Reze was picking them out of her own burger with a look of disgust, then naturally transferred them all to Sumire’s mouth.

”This stuff is disgusting,” Reze muttered, as if it were some kind of biological weapon.

”If it’s disgusting, why are you stuffing it into me?!”

Sumire was forced to chew the weirdly textured cucumbers, protesting indistinctly, ”Am I your food trash can?”

”Because we can’t waste food.”

Reze blinked her big eyes, looking innocent and speaking with such righteous conviction, ”This was bought with money, every cent is precious.”

”Huh?” Sumire finally managed to swallow and couldn’t help but complain wildly, ”Are you really qualified to talk to me about such a noble topic as not wasting food?”

Reze just chuckled, not taking the bait at all, and continued to take large bites of the meat patty without the cucumbers.

Outside the window was the peril-filled Marvel Universe, but inside the room was the warmth of two girls—or rather, one girl—bickering over a burger.

This kind of peace lasted for about two days.

The new life was wonderful, especially compared to before, but Sumire was a bit on edge every day, always ready to welcome S.H.I.E.L.D. or the clearly vengeful Tony knocking on the door. However, as the Incarnation, Reze adapted extremely well.

She was like a lazy cat, curled up on the sofa during the day watching mindless American soap operas, and staying up late at night full of energy, dragging Sumire along.

This left Sumire quite speechless, and she even considered stuffing her back into the warehouse at one point.

If you don’t sleep, I still have to.

But once she was stuffed back in, the purple figure and lazy laughter would vanish from the room, making it feel strangely lonely.

She could only sigh and let her out again.

Until late on the third night.

A sudden cold rain enveloped New York.

”I’m not going!”

Sumire clutched the corner of the quilt tightly in her warm bed, trying to resist Reze’s reaching hand. ”It’s raining outside, and it’s already very late!”

”But I want coffee.”

Reze acted spoiled while putting on a large black hoodie. ”I want that sickeningly sweet Vanilla Latte. Even the instant kind from the convenience store is fine. The caffeine in my body is running low; I’ll get rusty.”

”You’re a Devil, what do you mean get rusty!”

Sumire didn’t even know where to begin her complaint.

Unfortunately, Reze ultimately couldn’t win against her lazy dog of a main body.

She could only pitiably put on her hood, step into her flip-flops, and stroll into the convenience store downstairs.

The convenience store late at night was quiet and deserted.

Reze went straight to the hot drink cabinet and picked out a can of coffee with severely excessive sugar.

After a thought, she also grabbed a pack of brightly colored Bubble Gum.

Just as she was lining up to pay, a faint chill rushed in as the automatic doors opened.

A red-haired woman lined up behind her.

The woman was wearing seemingly ordinary grey sportswear, but it didn’t hide her overly perfect S-curve or the professional sharpness etched into her bones.

Reze’s nose twitched slightly.

It was the smell of gunpowder, blood, and a scent that expensive perfume tried to cover but couldn’t wash away... the scent of her own kind.

”Black Widow, Natasha Romanoff?!”

My Widow (Also, Zhenren (Immortal) has no copyright, illustrations can only use this style, so cherish it while it lasts)

Casual clothes

Sumire was startled awake in the apartment.

How could she not recognize this leading lady... former leading lady of the Marvel Universe?

It seemed the commotion they caused in Hells Kitchen had indeed drawn this famous female Agent.

”Little girl.”

The red-haired woman behind her suddenly spoke, her voice raspy and carrying a hint of adult laziness. ”Taking in so much sugar so late at night, aren’t you afraid of getting cavities? Do rebellious girls who run away from home these days care so little about their teeth?”

Running away from home?

Reze blinked, looking a bit bewildered.

She hadn’t run away from home.

She had a very stable little nest now, with food in the pot and someone in the bed. What more could she ask for?

Obviously, some of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s intelligence seemed to be misunderstood.

Reze turned around, her green eyes narrowing slightly, pretending not to recognize the other person at all, as she looked her up and down:

”Auntie, it’s the middle of the night. Even though you’re wearing a jacket, that tight suit underneath is so tight, don’t you feel suffocated?”

Reze’s gaze lingered for a moment on the woman’s slightly open collar, her smile sly: ”This style of tailoring... did you just get off work from some Agent movie set? Or is this some kind of professional uniform for special services?”

Natasha raised an eyebrow.

This little girl had a sharp tongue, and her observation skills were too keen for an ordinary person.

”Sharp-tongued.” Natasha gave a light laugh, not getting angry. Instead, she took a step forward and lowered her voice.

”Since ancient times, girls who are too smart usually don’t live very long.”

”Is that so?” Reze tossed the can of coffee in her hand, her eyes showing no fear.

”I’ve also heard that meddling old aunties get wrinkles especially fast.”

Natasha frowned upon hearing this.

Invisible sparks seemed to crackle in the air.

The two were like two cats meeting on a narrow path on a rainy night, neither willing to retract their claws first.
