Miracle Doctor Baby

Chapter 37: 37. Baobao Contract

”Baobao, do you want it?” Mo Jiuli smiled at the shopkeeper and asked her daughter.

”Mm, Mom, I want this one...” Baobao said seriously. She couldn’t explain why, but from the first glance at the little creature, she had a very familiar feeling...

Especially seeing it lying there weakly, as if it could die at any moment, Baobao felt unbearably distressed, so she must buy it...

Mo Jiuli smiled at the butler and said, ”How much for this little fox? We’ll take it.”

”Madam, this fox might not live much longer.” The butler said. After all, it was a spiritual beast in their shop, so it was better to make some things clear.

”It’s okay...” Mo Jiuli said with a smile. With her there, the little fox definitely wouldn’t die.

”Alright.” Seeing Mo Jiuli so insistent, the butler didn’t say anything more. After Mo Jiuli settled the bill with the help of Shangguan Che’s money, the attendant handed the little fox to Baobao.

Baobao cautiously held the little fox in her arms, which made Mo Jiuli raise her eyebrows. They had encountered foxes in the forest before, but Baobao had never been so invested...

She took another look at the little fox in Baobao’s arms and saw the little creature’s watery eyes looking at Baobao. At this moment, the atmosphere between the person and the fox was so intimate that even she, as a mother, couldn’t intervene...

However, considering the trouble they had encountered during their visit and the little fox’s worsening condition, it wouldn’t last much longer without treatment...

”Baobao, let’s go back and treat the little fox first...” Mo Jiuli said to her daughter.

Upon hearing this, Baobao immediately snapped back to reality and anxiously asked Mo Jiuli, ”Mom, can you save it?”

”Mm, don’t worry! Let’s go back first...” Mo Jiuli smiled and picked up Baobao.

Although she didn’t know what was so special about this little fox that made Baobao so concerned, as long as Baobao liked it, she would do her best to cure it...

”Che, let’s go back to the inn...” Mo Jiuli said.

”Okay.” Shangguan Che also noticed the fox’s condition and knew Mo Jiuli was planning to heal it at the inn, so he agreed without hesitation.

So they left the First-grade Pavilion and returned directly to the inn where Mo Jiuli had previously stayed...

After returning to the inn, Mo Jiuli asked Xue Feng and Shangguan Che to wait in the hall, while she took Baobao and the little fox back to the room...

”Baobao, why did you choose this fox?” Once they were alone, Mo Jiuli finally asked the question that had been on her mind.

As Mo Jiuli began to examine the little fox’s body, Baobao felt somewhat relieved. After thinking for a moment, she said, ”I don’t know why, but when I first saw it, I had a familiar feeling, as if it should have been by my side all along...”

Mo Jiuli also noticed that the little fox in her hand was extremely calm. Even now, its gaze never left Baobao, causing countless black threads to appear in Mo Jiuli’s mind...

Could it be that Baobao was attracted to this little fox and wanted to start a **** love affair with it? With that thought, she unconsciously increased the pressure in her hands and looked at the little fox with some malice...

The little fox felt a cold gaze staring at it and looked back at Mo Jiuli, puzzled. It didn’t understand why the Mistress of its master, was looking at it like that...

In the little fox’s mind, Baobao was already its master. If it hadn’t failed during Thunder Tribulation and suffered severe injuries, it would not have been captured by a beast hunter from the First-grade Pavilion and ended up in there...

And to fully heal itself, there was only one way - contracting...

However, the idea of acknowledging a human as its master was something it would rather die than accept...

If it didn’t contract, its injuries would never heal, and it wouldn’t be able to live much longer. It had been at the First-grade Pavilion for more than ten days, and no one was willing to buy it...

Even if someone bought it and brought it home, it would still never contract with a human...

It wasn’t until Baobao appeared on the second floor of First-grade Pavilion that the little fox suddenly smelled a familiar scent. Looking up, it saw Baobao, but realized it was just a little girl...

Not even the little fox knew why it could smell a familiar scent on Baobao, let alone why that scent was familiar...

But at that moment, it knew it didn’t want to die anymore! Because it had found its master. That thought had surprised the little fox at the time, but when it saw the affection in Baobao’s eyes...

It decided to acknowledge the little girl in front of it as its master...

Only, why was the Mistress of its master looking at it like this now...

Seeing the puzzled eyes of the little fox, Mo Jiuli had a thought. This fox seemed to be more than just an ordinary spiritual beast. It certainly possessed spiritual intelligence...

”Baobao, the only way to save it is to heal its severe injuries...” Mo Jiuli said after examining the little fox and looking at Baobao.

”Mom, I have to save it...” Baobao said without hesitation when she heard the words.

Before Mo Jiuli could say more, the little fox suddenly opened its mouth and bit Baobao’s finger...

”Argh...” Baobao cried out in surprise. She didn’t expect the little fox to bite her all of a sudden.

Before she could say anything, a contract light enveloped Baobao and the little fox...

In the Heavenly Book Space, Little Book watched Baobao and the little fox’s contract with a twitching mouth, wondering why their contract had to be this egg-tastic...

As Baobao and the little fox were tightly wrapped in a purple light, no one could see what was happening inside...

After a long time, as the contract light disappeared, Baobao and the little fox’s figures were finally revealed...

With a flash of white, the little fox landed in Baobao’s arms and called out adorably, ”Master...”

”Little Fox? You can talk now?” Baobao asked in surprise, looking at the now smaller little fox in her arms.

”I could always talk, but I just couldn’t because my injuries were too severe!” the little fox said.

”How are you now? Have you gotten any better?” Baobao asked worriedly when she heard the fox’s words.

”Master, don’t worry, I’m all better now! My injuries could only be healed by contracting, and now that I’m contracted with you, I’m naturally all better...” the little fox said cutely.

Mo Jiuli watched from the side as the person and the fox conversed happily, feeling somewhat left out...

Had she been ignored by her daughter and a little fox? Baobao, how did you go from loving your mom to prioritizing the fox...
