Miracle Doctor Baby

Chapter 24: 24. That’s so irresponsible.

Having traveled through the forest for an entire day, Mo Jiuli and Baobao gathered an abundant harvest. Many spiritual beasts that crossed their path ended up contributing to their food supply...

Mo Baobao mostly just waved her hand, tested some medicine, and dealt with them! Mo Jiuli was mainly responsible for taking care of the aftermath. The mother and daughter worked together seamlessly. Eventually, some timid spiritual beasts noticed something was wrong...

As soon as they saw the small figure of Mo Baobao, they were frightened away, hiding and not appearing until the mother and daughter had passed. Only then did they come out, feeling lucky to have escaped the terrifying mother-daughter duo...

As Mo Jiuli had matters to attend to in the Imperial Capital, she didn’t venture deep into the Demon Beast Forest, choosing to train on its outskirts...

As the sky gradually darkened, the mother and daughter were about to find a place to camp and rest. Suddenly, they heard the sound of fighting nearby...

The noise seemed not far from their current location, so the mother and daughter exchanged glances and decided to check it out first. They didn’t want to be accidentally caught in the crossfire...

Mo Jiuli glanced at her daughter, whose face was flushed from walking all day and had a thin layer of sweat on her forehead. She simply picked up Baobao and headed towards the source of the noise...

Mo Baobao hugged her mother’s neck and rubbed her face against Mo Jiuli’s, enjoying the faint fragrance of her mother. It made her feel safe and warm...

Mo Jiuli smiled and kissed her daughter’s cheek, asking, ”Are you tired, Baobao?”

”Not tired, I just like Mommy’s hugs!” Mo Baobao kissed Mo Jiuli back a few times and said.

The setting sun’s afterglow illuminated the faces of the mother and daughter, making them look beautiful, warm, and peaceful. Time seemed to freeze in this moment, creating a serene and picturesque scene...

Before long, Mo Jiuli and Baobao arrived at the scene of the fight. They found a large tree with dense foliage, climbed up, and sat down in a spot with a great view. Holding her treasure in her arms, Mo Jiuli looked down...

It turned out that the scene below was not people fighting, but a group of beasts and Spiritual Beasts, with some beasts bullying a single Spiritual Beast...

At the moment, the single beast being attacked by the group was already knocked unconscious in the middle, its pitch-black body lying motionless on the ground...

There were about 20 Spiritual Beasts. Among them were bears, apes, and some from the Wolf Clan. Mo Jiuli was curious about the identity of the unconscious beast in the middle...

What kind of creature could provoke an alliance between three different beast clans to have them attack together? Judging by the injuries on the beasts, it was clear they had experienced a fierce battle...

One against 20 or more, although the single creature was currently unconscious, it surely must’ve had a formidable combat power...

”Wolf King, I think this fellow must be dead!” The lead Black Bear stepped forward and kicked the creature on the ground a few times.

”Better to be cautious. After all, it caused us quite a bit of trouble! We absolutely can’t let it live this time!” The leading Green Wolf among the pack said coldly.

Mo Jiuli was taken aback. She had initially thought they were all high-level Spiritual Beasts but hadn’t expected them all to be Holy Beasts capable of speaking. Could there possibly be a Divine Beast among them too?

As if to confirm her guess, a burst of light flashed across, and three distinct men appeared in the middle of the group of beasts. One was dressed in black clothes, over two meters tall and extraordinarily strong, clearly the Black Bear from earlier...

Another wore a Qiao Shan outfit, with a somewhat feminine beauty in his face, unmistakably the Green Wolf. The last one was also tall but wore a brown long robe, presumably the leader of the Earth Apes...

Mo Baobao was also surprised, her little mouth wide open. This was their first time seeing beasts transform into human form. Mo Jiuli exchanged glances with her daughter, and both of them held their breath and kept silent...

What a joke, they weren’t tired of living. Maybe they could deal with one divine beast if they worked together. But with three divine beasts, plus so many holy beasts, if they were discovered now, they would definitely be obliterated...

”Yes, we can’t let it live no matter what! It dared to steal our treasure, it deserves to die...” Earth Ape angrily said, kicking it a few more times to vent his anger.

”Patriarch, it’s bad, it’s bad...”

”King, it’s bad, it’s bad...”

”Boss, it’s bad, it’s bad...”

At that moment, three holy beasts ran up from a distance: a black bear, a green wolf, and an earth ape. The three holy beasts came to the three men’s side and whispered a few words in their kings’ ears...

Upon hearing this, the three men’s faces changed, and they immediately led their subordinates and turned to run into the forest...

They even forgot to take away the unconscious beast on the ground. The enemy they had just vowed not to let go was so irresponsibly abandoned...

Mo Jiuli and Mo Baobao couldn’t help but twitch their mouths. The mother and daughter were clearly caught off guard by the sudden turn of events...

”Mom, am I seeing this right? They just left? That’s it?” Mo Baobao asked after recovering half a day later.

”Mhm, it seems so...” Mo Jiuli thought for a moment and said.

”They left too quickly! They should at least explain why they’re leaving, that’s too irresponsible...” Mo Baobao pouted her small mouth and complained unhappily.

”Ahem, alright! Since they’ve left, let’s go down and check it out...” Mo Jiuli said, holding her daughter as they gently floated down.

Putting Baobao on the ground, Mo Jiuli walked over to the unconscious person who was surrounded by the spiritual beasts earlier. She noticed that the person lying on the ground was not a beast, but a human form...

She wondered how he had gotten into such big trouble with the Beast Clans. He seemed to have made them very wary; otherwise, they wouldn’t have sent holy beasts and divine beasts to deal with him...

Mo Jiuli furrowed her eyebrows and pondered for half a day, hesitating whether to save the person or leave as if she hadn’t seen them.

”Mom, do you want to save him?” Mo Baobao asked, seeing the struggle in her mother’s face.

”Baobao, do you think we should save him?” Mo Jiuli asked her daughter.

”Of course not! He should die soon anyway! Saving him would waste both time and medicinal materials, and we don’t even know him, so why save him...” Mo Baobao frowned and said.

She didn’t like saving people, she wasn’t a kind child! Saving people was something her mother, the doctor, liked to do; she wasn’t a doctor and didn’t like saving people...

Mo Jiuli had already anticipated Baobao’s thoughts. Although she was curious, even though she wasn’t a kind white lotus and wasn’t enthusiastic, she wasn’t particularly cold-hearted either...

She didn’t know if Baobao’s resemblance to her was intentional, or what. The little one was clearly more interested in killing than saving, and her passion for doing bad things was much higher than that for good deeds...

PS; I’ve had a heavy cold these past few days, so my updates might be a little unstable. Please forgive me, everyone. Make sure to take care of yourselves, don’t catch a cold. Muah
