Fairy Tail: Collapsing Stars

Chapter 418: Kagura: Do I Really Still Have Hope of Passing This Guild Trial?

Earth-land...

Continent of Ishgar...

Kingdom of Fiore, Magnolia Town, inside the Fairy Tail guild.

”Let me introduce him to everyone. This is Ignia, in other words, Natsuʼs older brother~”

Evan stood in front of the guild bar and introduced Natsuʼs older brother Ignia to the Mages inside the Fairy Tail guild.

”Hmph~”

At this moment, Ignia had a face full of displeasure, acting so arrogant as though everyone owed him several million.

Ignia raised his head with a look of contempt for everyone, quietly leaning against the guild bar and arrogantly looking at the Mages of the Fairy Tail guild through his nostrils...

In Igniaʼs eyes, this group of ants before him were fundamentally unworthy of having the same emblem branded on their bodies as him.

”Huh? Natsuʼs older brother? Wasnʼt Natsu raised by a dragon? He has an older brother?”

”Could it be that besides Natsu, someone else was also raised by that Fire Dragon King Igneel?”

After hearing Evanʼs words, Macao scratched his cheek.

Macao looked Ignia up and down, then gently shook his head. The temperament on Igniaʼs body was completely different from Natsuʼs. He did not look like he had a blood relation to him at all. If one had to say who Ignia looked like, he looked somewhat like Mirajane when she entered battle mode, like a delinquent girl, ruffian and gangster-like.

”Of course Natsu has older brothers...”

After hearing Macaoʼs words, Evan smiled.

Natsu not only had an older brother, he had two older brothers. One was Black Wizard Zeref, who had roamed Earth-land for hundreds of years and made everyone fear him, and the other was Fire Dragon God Ignia, who pressured the Northern Continent, Guiltina, was declared by countless people on the continent to possess power close to gods, was worshiped by countless people as the incarnation of the Flame God, and claimed to be invincible!

Besides that, if Natsu also counted his adoptive father Fire Dragon King Igneel, his sister-in-law Fairy Tailʼs First Guild Master Mavis, and Natsuʼs hidden true identity as the final demon END, then without exaggeration, Natsu was simply Earth-landʼs number one connected household! His background was so great that it even surpassed a certain Pirate King Luffy who was searching for ONE PIECE on the sea.

”I was not raised by Igneel...”

Before Evan could speak, Ignia interrupted Evanʼs introduction. He looked at everyone before him and spoke in a ruffian-like manner.

”Huh? Then you are?”

Wakaba held a pipe in his mouth, his eyes carrying some confusion. Since Ignia was not raised by Igneel, then why was he Natsuʼs older brother?!

Besides, no matter how one looked at the name Ignia, it was very similar to the name Igneel~

”As you can see, my name is Ignia, son of Fire Dragon King Igneel...”

”Yes, I am Fire Dragon God Ignia, who inherited Fire Dragon King Igneelʼs invincible bloodline and spent four hundred years tempering myself! Now my strength has long since surpassed Igneel and Black Dragon King Acnologia!”

”But there is one thing you got wrong! After my father gave birth to me, he no longer cared about me. He did not take responsibility for raising me. It was my mother who dragged me up...”

Ignia looked at Wakaba and the others with a ferocious smile as he spoke coldly.

”You said that after your father gave birth to you, he left you alone! He did not take responsibility for raising you, and it was your mother who raised you?”

”Why does this plot look so familiar?!”

After hearing this, the Mages of the Fairy Tail guild narrowed their eyes slightly, then looked toward Gildarts, who was also sitting at the bar.

”Why are you looking at me? Am I that much of a scumbag? Do you think Iʼm scum?”

After Gildarts felt everyoneʼs gazes, he raised an eyebrow. He put down the wine glass in his hand and questioned his companions in the guild.

”Not scum, not scum!”

The Mages of the Fairy Tail guild all shook their heads after feeling Gildartsʼs gaze, while thinking in their hearts: ”If you are not scum, then there would be no scumbags on the entire continent of Ishgar!”

Of course, everyone did not say it out loud. They still gave Gildarts some face...

”You said you inherited Igneelʼs bloodline? In that case, donʼt tell me youʼre a dragon?”

Just as everyone was staring at Gildarts, this scumbag, Macao suddenly thought of something. His expression was shocked as he looked at Ignia and asked in astonishment.

”What? Dragon? Another dragon?! We still havenʼt found fairies, but weʼre about to become a dragon nest! Why donʼt we just change our name to Dragon Tail...”

As Macaoʼs voice fell, the Mages inside the Fairy Tail guild were all shocked. Until now, they had not found any trace of fairies, nor did they know whether fairies had tails! But dragons, they had seen more than enough of those...

Only, originally, everyone had not thought in the direction that Ignia was a giant dragon. After all, in this world, in theory, giant dragons were still extremely rare. There were even rumors that since four hundred years ago, the high-level life form known as dragons had almost gone extinct on the continent of Ishgar!

Perhaps the dragons left in their Fairy Tail guild were the last remaining ones on this continent...

No, to be precise, all the dragons in this world were gathering toward their Fairy Tail guild!

However, what the Fairy Tail people could not imagine was that this was only the beginning. In the future, Fairy Tailʼs dragons would only become even more numerous!

”Thatʼs right, I am the great Fire Dragon God!”

”After hearing my title, youʼre all scared, arenʼt you?!”

Ignia stood tall with his chest out. He was so impressive that he had to put his hands on his waist for a while.

”Fire Dragon God?”

”Whoʼs that?”

”Do you know him?”

”I donʼt know him...”

”Speaking of which, this title Fire Dragon God is rather similar to Lord Seleneʼs title Moon Dragon God~”

”Indeed...”

Unfortunately, Igniaʼs title did not work well outside the Northern Continent, Guiltina. The Mages of the Fairy Tail guild had never even heard of it. They merely felt that Igniaʼs title was somewhat similar to Seleneʼs title~

”You actually know that b*tch Selene! Yet you donʼt know me...”

”In a while, Iʼll burn all of you low-level humans into black charcoal!”

”The guild Iʼm in does not need trash at all...”

Ignia looked at Wakaba and the others, his eyes flickering with vicious light, and magic power rose from within him.

”Boom...”

As Ignia erupted with magic power, the entire Fairy Tail guild dimmed somewhat!

The surrounding air became thick and scorching. The water molecules in the air continuously evaporated and vanished...

”Uh...”

Everyone faced the magic power Ignia erupted with, enduring wave after wave of terrifying heat, and their expressions instantly changed!

Wakaba, Macao, and the others trembled slightly, and sweat continuously seeped from their foreheads. However, something terrifying happened. The sweat that seeped out because of their fear evaporated without a trace in the blink of an eye...

”Roar!!”

However, this was not over yet! Just as everyone felt unbearably hot and found it difficult to endure, accompanied by a dragon roar, the bodies of every Mage in the guild shook one after another!

For a moment, everyone facing Ignia felt as though their eyes had been struck by an illusion, producing hallucinations! The punk-like Ignia before them had already disappeared. In his place was a giant dragon with a ferocious face and a mouth full of green fangs.

”Bang~”

Just as Ignia used the water vapor produced by the heat wave, the temperature difference, and the light to create a mirage, allowing everyone to see his handsome and dashing true body, Evan raised his hand and struck the back of Igniaʼs head while he was throwing a tantrum.

”So painful~”

After Ignia suddenly endured Evanʼs slap, his body lowered, and he subconsciously bent down.

In an instant, the imposing aura Ignia had created vanished instantly. He once again became that punk who exposed his upper body and tattooed a sun on himself~

”In any case, this guy usually looks unreliable like this, and his intelligence is not very high...”

”So everyone, please be more tolerant. After all, the Guild Master once taught us that we must be tolerant toward fools~”

Evan withdrew the hand he used to knock Igniaʼs head and instructed the Mages in the guild.

”So thatʼs how it is...”

As Evanʼs voice fell, the Mages inside the Fairy Tail guild all revealed looks of sudden realization.

At the same time, everyone cast sympathetic gazes toward Ignia.

”Ignia, things really arenʼt easy for you!”

”Yeah! Yeah~”

”If we had known earlier that you were an idiot, we definitely would have tolerated you~”

The Fairy Tail people instantly released their goodwill-filled concern toward Ignia.

”You humans...”

Hearing this, the corner of Igniaʼs eye twitched slightly. His mouth opened slightly, as though Ignia wanted to say something to the Mages inside the Fairy Tail guild, but in the end, Ignia finally gave up. Because he felt the waves of pressure coming from behind him~

”You have no martial virtue! A group of people bullying me alone. Sooner or later, Iʼll take revenge on each of you one by one...”

Ignia naturally knew that the gazes falling on him were not from others, but precisely from Evan and August. Facing everyoneʼs heavy gazes, the unstoppable Ignia chose to compromise!

Of course, Ignia believed that he was completely unafraid of any one of Evan, Irene, Selene, August, Zeref, and his father Igneel!

Even now, Ignia still believed he was invincible under heaven! If it were one-on-one, he absolutely would not lose! However, Evan and the others had no martial virtue. They could be called Earth-landʼs number one mafia, stinking hooligans! They would never fight others one-on-one. If they could gang up, they absolutely would gang up!

”Hmph! Donʼt think you trash have succeeded!”

”The greatest mistake you have made in your lives is dragging me, Ignia, into your guild...”

”Sooner or later, I will occupy your guild and drive all those trash out of the guild~”

Ignia glared at Evan and August. He swore that one day, he would completely destroy this guild called Fairy Tail! He would make Evan and August pay a heavy price!

”Hm?!”

Laxus, who had originally been standing on the second floor of the guild and looking downstairs, frowned after hearing Igniaʼs words. He kept feeling that Igniaʼs words sounded somewhat familiar, making him unexpectedly feel as though he had heard them before.

”Strange. Who said these words before?!”

Laxus frowned tightly and silently thought. However, after thinking for a long while, he still had no clue. In response, Laxus could only temporarily choose to give up.

As for Evan and August, regarding Igniaʼs arrogance and rebellion, they merely smiled without speaking. Toward a rebellious child like Ignia, the two seemed to have some experience dealing with this. The current Ignia was like Laxus before Evan arrived at the Fairy Tail guild. He was like Ajeel Ramal, the Desert King inside the Alvarez Empire who still had not been beaten awake...

Toward this kind of rebellious child, Evan and Augustʼs educational method was incomparably simple...

I heard youʼre unconvinced? I heard youʼre very arrogant? It doesnʼt matter! Just beat you up and itʼll be fine...

”Ignia, I look forward to the day when you grow~”

Thus, Evan smiled as he looked at Fire Dragon God Ignia. In his heart, he looked forward to Ignia really mustering the courage to resist their oppression.

Evan was sincerely looking forward to the day Ignia rebelled! Because in that case, he would have a proper reason to beat Ignia painfully! At that time, even Igneel would not be able to protect Ignia...

Time flew by...

In the blink of an eye, it arrived at the end of X782!

The atmosphere inside the Fairy Tail guild suddenly became tense!

One Mage after another who had gone out returned to the guild, and what made these Mages return was nothing else, but the fact that it was once again time for Fairy Tail guildʼs annual S-Class Mage Promotion Trial...

”Everyone, I think since everyone has coincidentally gathered here, everyone should already know what exactly is waiting for you next inside our Fairy Tail guild?!”

”Thatʼs right! Time flies. As one year passes in the blink of an eye, it is once again time for Fairy Tail guildʼs most important annual matter...”

”Since that is the case, I will say no more unnecessary words. I hereby officially announce! Yes, the thing you have been looking forward to, Fairy Tail guildʼs most important matter, the annual S-Class Mage Promotion Trial, is about to begin...”

August stood on the guild platform. He tried his best to use relaxed words to liven up the atmosphere, but because he always had a stern face and looked very serious, no matter how relaxed the words were, by the time they came out of his mouth, they ultimately became lifeless. In addition, August fundamentally had no talent for speeches, so no matter how one listened to the words he spoke, they sounded like stiff reading...

”My script was wasted!”

Warren Rocko looked at August stiffly reading and sighed again and again, looking as though he hated iron for not becoming steel.

Because Warren Rockoʼs magic did not have much combat power, he rarely took combat jobs. His main duty was to run to various cities without loudspeakers and help city lords and mayors give speeches...

As the number of speeches Warren Rocko gave increased, he unconsciously became a well-known speech master and success studies master throughout the Kingdom of Fiore! His famous quote was, if you understood, please applaud. Cough, cough...

Yes, inside the Fairy Tail guild, if one did not have some technology and ruthless tricks, one could not get by...

Right now, looking at the script he wrote being read by August without the slightest passion, he let out a pained sound. He admitted that Augustʼs magic was invincible, and with just a casual bit of guidance, August had allowed him to advance a great deal on the path of magic. But outside of magic, August was truly somewhat ordinary...

”Evan, what is this Fairy Tail guild S-Class Mage exam?”

Ignia sat at the bar, holding a bottle of fruit juice in his mouth, and asked Evan beside him.

”The so-called S-Class Mage exam is an exam used to screen the elites inside the Fairy Tail guild! Only those who can pass the trial can be awarded the title of S-Class Mage of the Fairy Tail guild! In our Fairy Tail guild, only those who have obtained the title of S-Class Mage are allowed to complete S-Class and above jobs! These include S-Class Jobs, SS-Class Jobs, Ten-Year Jobs, and even 100-Year Jobs...”

After hearing Igniaʼs question, Evan spoke with a smile.

”Oh? 100-Year Jobs?”

”Ah! Now that you mention it, I remember! When I was in Guiltina before, I encountered a group of people who kept muttering about wanting to complete a 100-Year Job. Those guys were really excessive. They wouldnʼt give me a chance to explain. After seeing me, they attacked me without saying anything. At the same time, they always shouted that they wanted to subjugate me, kill me, and so on... Of course, the final result was that I killed all those Mages who wanted to kill me! But that is not important. What is important is, among those trash I killed, there werenʼt any Mages from your Fairy Tail, right? If there were, it feels like it would be very troublesome...”

After hearing Evanʼs words, Ignia revealed an expression of sudden realization, then frowned tightly, his expression seemingly carrying some hesitation.

He had stayed in the Fairy Tail guild for roughly several months. During these months, he had more or less figured out the personalities of the Mages in the Fairy Tail guild and gained a certain understanding of them. Although these people usually laughed and joked around, they especially treasured their companions!

Among them, this even included him, this dragon who always cursed and spoke rudely to the Mages of the guild...

Yes, Ignia had felt the feeling of being cared for by others for the first time. This was something he had never felt from Igneel!

”Rest assured~”

”In our Fairy Tail guild, there are no Mages who overestimate themselves and plan to complete 100-Year Jobs! Moreover, even if we really accepted a 100-Year Job, we absolutely would not attack you without saying anything...”

After hearing Igniaʼs words, Evan smiled lightly.

The fact that Ignia would worry about this kind of problem proved that Ignia had begun to truly regard himself as a part of the Fairy Tail guild...

”Thatʼs good...”

Hearing this, Ignia slowly breathed a sigh of relief.

He did not want to have any conflict with this group of interesting insects in the guild over such a small matter.

Yes, he was not worried about the Mages in the guild. He was only afraid of trouble...

At least that was what Ignia himself believed.

”Right, this Mage trial of the Fairy Tail guild that screens elite members? Can I participate?”

Then, Ignia seemed to think of something, and he looked at Evan beside him and asked.

”Of course you can...”

”As long as someone is a member of the Fairy Tail guild and their strength meets the standard, then they can all participate in our Fairy Tail guildʼs Mage trial, no matter who it is~”

”With your strength, you are naturally allowed to participate in the trial...”

Evan looked at Ignia and nodded lightly, approving Igniaʼs request to participate in this yearʼs Fairy Tail guild S-Class Mage Promotion Trial.

”I knew it~”

”An elite like me can definitely be allowed to participate in the trial~”

After hearing Evanʼs words, Ignia revealed a smug smile.

”So what do you plan to do?”

Evan looked at Ignia and asked.

”Hehe...”

”Just open your eyes wide and watch properly~”

Ignia stood up from his seat and gave Evan an incomparably dashing back.

”...”

Evan did not speak. He quietly looked at Ignia, wanting to see what tricks this older brother of Natsu and self-proclaimed invincible Fire Dragon God could play...

”Then I will announce the rules of the exam and the candidates participating in this yearʼs Fairy Tail guild S-Class Mage exam!”

At the same time, August stood on the platform of the Fairy Tail guild. He looked expressionlessly at the Mages inside the guild and planned to explain the S-Class Mage trial rules and this yearʼs list of candidates participating in the Fairy Tail guild S-Class Mage Promotion Trial, just like last year.

”Wait a moment...”

However, before August could speak, accompanied by a displeased voice sounding from inside the guild, Fire Dragon God Ignia, whose whole body was emitting flames, leaped up from the ground and directly landed on the platform in the center of the Fairy Tail guild. He stood beside August, his gaze fierce.

”Guild Master August~”

”I think the trial rules for this yearʼs Fairy Tail guild S-Class Mage Promotion Trial that you were about to announce next are completely unnecessary to say!”

”Because this yearʼs Fairy Tail guild S-Class Mage Promotion Trial ends here!”

”If you want to ask why? That is because this great one! Fire Dragon God Ignia has decided to enter the battle!”

As Ignia spoke, a heaven-shocking aura erupted from his body. Like a demon king born from flames, he stood on the platform of the Fairy Tail guild.

”The trash still in the Fairy Tail guild who are preparing to participate in this yearʼs S-Class Mage Promotion Trial, listen carefully~”

”You can directly choose to give up this yearʼs trial! Take it again next year!”

After Ignia finished speaking to August, he turned his head and looked at the outstanding Fairy Tail guild S-Class Mage candidates below the platform. His expression was ferocious, and he spoke coldly.

”Boom!!”

As Igniaʼs voice fell, the entire Fairy Tail guild instantly exploded into commotion!

”Who the hell are you?!”

”Weʼll take you down! Bastard!”

”Donʼt think I donʼt dare hit you just because youʼre Igneelʼs son!”

Gray, Lyon, Natsu, and the others looked at Ignia on the stage and roared angrily, all eager to try.

”Haha, now this is interesting~”

Igniaʼs eyes stared fixedly at Natsu, as though among this yearʼs candidates, no one except Natsu entered his eyes at all. At the same time, Ignia also seemed eager to try. Ignia was very interested in his foolish younger brother Natsu! He had long wanted to beat Natsu for a very long time~

”Haha...”

Natsu was the same. He had long wanted to fight this cheap older brother of his for a very long time.

The two brothers stared at each other like this. There was only one thought in their hearts, and that was to beat the other flat...

”...”

At the same time, Kaguraʼs cheeks carried some paleness. She could feel how terrifying the power inside Ignia was. That was absolutely not something the current her could deal with.

”So Iʼm going to fail again this year?”

Kaguraʼs face was full of distress.

Everyone, rest assured, Kagura will pass this year~ But she will pass in a special way!
