My Youth Began With Him

“Say something, Su Yu…” Wei Liao was anxious as well.

“I can’t.”

“Then, you cannot prove your innocence. Not only are you the owner of the property, but there is also a witness who claims that you were at the crime scene. Plus, the victim fell from your bedroom and you were the only one missing in the surveillance videos during that period of time. Young Master Su, we have reason to believe that you were involved with this murder. We need your cooperation. Please come back with us to the station.”

Gao Ran was a righteous man. Although he was normally a sharp-tongued jokester, he was more than serious when it came to criminal investigations.

He wasn’t about to go easy on Su Yu just because the man was famous.

Business was business…

Su Yu nodded. “Fine, I’ll go with you. Please find out what the hell actually happened.”

At the sight of Su Yu leaving with the police, everyone’s expression turned heavy.

“I think that he’s protecting someone. Could he be protecting the murderer?” Tang Chuan asked, completely confused.

Jiang Xiaowei suddenly uttered, “I actually think that someone’s trying to frame Su Yu.”

Wei Liao nodded. “I agree. Even Zhao Qingya hadn’t been in his bedroom. He would never bring a stranger in. There’s no way that Su Yu was involved.”

“But where did Su Yu go during the time of his disappearance?” Tang Chuan asked.

Both Jiang Xiaowei and Wei Liao fell silent…

Wei Liao waved over Su Yu’s female assistant and asked, “When did President Su leave the party?”

“At around 8 PM.”

“Where did he go?”

The female assistant shook her head, “I don’t know either. President Su told me to tell anyone who asked that he went to his bedroom.”

“… What a coincidence,” Tang Chuan sighed.

“Su Yu’s not that stupid. If it really was him, he wouldn’t tell others that he would be in his bedroom.”

“So, is this a coincidence or is someone framing him?” Tang Chuan continued to question.

“We’ll have to wait for the results from the police investigation…”

The group of people was as worried as could be, unable to stay still any longer.

The news of the murder and Su Yu leaving with the police spread like wildfire.

Just a moment ago, the reporters outside the mansion were sitting down, worrying about the fact that nothing was worth reporting… and suddenly, a murder happened…

As a result, the front page of the next morning’s newspaper was plastered with titles like >.

After the Su Family found out about this, their response was immediate.

Grandpa Su went directly to the police station to post bail, startling the bureau director so much that the latter personally served the old man a cup of tea.

“Commander Su, why are you here?” Director Liao bowed.

“Hmph… you took my grandson. I’m here to post bail of course.”

“But… we haven’t yet completed the investigation, sir,” Director Liao was between a rock and a hard place.

With so many eyes watching his every move and so much media attention, if he released Su Yu, he might be cursed to death by the citizens.

“Then at least let me see my grandson. That’s alright with you, isn’t it?” Grandpa Su looked furious.

“Of course, of course. This way please.”

Director Liao guided Grandpa Su all the way to the interrogation room.

Su Yu was treated well and was sipping tea when he saw his grandfather…

“Grandpa, why are you here?”

“Stupid brat, you’re in so much trouble, how could I not come?” Grandpa Su looked at his grandson worriedly.

“Haha, I’m fine.”

“You’re laughing? Tell me the truth, what really happened?” Grandpa Su asked angrily.

“Grandpa, it’s got nothing to do with me. I don’t know that woman, and I’ve never been to the crime scene.”

“I knew it… I knew it wasn’t you,” Grandpa Su was confident in his grandson.

If Su Yu said it wasn’t him, then it wasn’t him…

“Did you hear that? It wasn’t my grandson… hurry up and release him,” Grandpa Su ordered stubbornly.

Helpless, Director Liao looked at Grandpa Su and said, “Commander Su, please don’t give me a hard time. I will release him once our investigations conclude.”

“It’s fine, I’m not afraid of being investigated. Go ahead and do a thorough investigation. I want to know who’s behind this as well,” Su Yu said confidently.

Just then, Gao Ran arrived with new information. He walked toward Director Liao and said, “Director, the results are back. The victim had a high amount of drugs in her system; her urine test came back positive. There were no indications of sexual assault, but…”

“Keep going,” Director Liao ordered.

“Su Yu’s skin particles were discovered underneath the victim’s nails. So… we have reason to believe that he had contact with the victim, or maybe even pushed her off the building.”

“Are you f*cking kidding me?” Su Yu was livid. He stood up and pointed at Gao Ran.
