Global Lords: I Have Information System

Chapter 642: Chapter 430: Expedition Plan and the Goblin Merchant’s Follow-Up

Zong Shen took out a snow-clearing version of the Burden-Bearer Mecha and had her drive it to the residential area.

With Luna’s departure, Zong Shen now only needs to wait for the warriors to gather to make an appearance.

During this time, the Burden-Bearer Mecha has become a standard vehicle within the territory.

This is because of its strong applicability and its great practical value as a Magic Energy Mechanism.

Moreover, driving it is not complicated, with two pedals in total, one for active braking.

The other increases the Magic Energy Core output, serving as a ”throttle.”

Pressing it accelerates, while releasing it lets the Magic Energy Core gradually return to an idle state.

This operation is idiot-proof and has some ”commonality” with automatic cars on Earth.

At Zong Shen’s request, many subjects have mastered the skill of driving it.

In times of need, many temporary drivers can be assembled.

The surrounding warriors maintained absolute silence.

They all looked at Zong Shen with eyes full of admiration.

This is a kind of relative order.

It doesn’t even require any tactics to have such a team.

Zong Shen has already divided the warriors of his team.

First, for the long-range attack, Wenresa leads four Dragon-kin Rangers, twelve Tier Two Rodok Crossbowmen, and six Light Crossbowmen to form the crossbow team.

Along with four Water Mages, Tasuya, and Aisha as supplementary magic damage.

Plus, Luna leads three Dark Night Female Hunters to roam and attack with roving cavalry tactics.

For melee combat, Wolf Cavalry Squad One is combined with twelve Dragonized Spear and Shield Warriors.

This team requires two Burden-Bearer Mechas to operate.

Such a configuration is absolutely considered luxurious.

Facing a lone Frosty Snow Beast, they can whittle it down with powerful long-range offensives and mobility, even without the cover of Defense Arrow Towers.

Their expedition this time has virtually emptied 70% of the military power within the territory.

The remaining warriors are not suited for expeditions in the snow.

Such as the Tier Four Immortal Gun Cavalry, Goblin Ripper, Mad Axe Warrior, and Apprentice Thunder Mage.

They will serve as Inner Guards, staying in the residential area, receiving command from Favide.

During their absence, even if a Snow Beast stealthily infiltrates the territory to attack,

it won’t cause serious consequences; as soon as an attack is launched, the stealth will be broken.

The Defense Arrow Towers can quickly lock onto it, and the Inner Guards will be deployed when necessary.

Besides the Snow Beast, if new goblin squads break in, the same applies.

However, these are merely backup measures in case of emergency.

In fact, Zong Shen will use the Golden Circle Mark to lock all nearby Frosty Snow Beasts.

There’s no need to wait for them to infiltrate the territory; Zong Shen will take the team to trouble them.

At this moment, they aren’t terrifying challenge monsters but merely prey for Zong Shen.

As for goblin squads, they are even easier to handle; the towers in the territory alone are enough to give them a hard time.

Even the stealth abilities held by Goblin Scouts only belong to the Entry Level Tier One.

Easily detectable by the Tier Two Eye of True Sight of the Sentry Towers.

Therefore, Zong Shen isn’t worried about the safety of the territory, even if several goblin squads arrive simultaneously.

When the territory’s Defense Towers and goblins clash, Zong Shen can quickly detect it.

He will lead the Hunting Team from the outskirts to strangle these goblins.

Thinking of goblins, Zong Shen couldn’t help but recall the big-nosed goblin merchant Boswell.

Those greedy goblins, after being raided by him, searched this area for a day or two.

Until later when the unreasonable Raven Saintess Shafuri came to inquire, they left entirely, carrying the blame.

The abandoned sentry station at the mountaintop has been completely vacated.

Actually, Boswell suspected something after being blamed.

It braved the consequences of the blame and compensated Shafuri just to get some clues from her.

Unfortunately, the Calamity Raven Church isn’t a Lawful Good church.

Behaviors like Zong Shen’s, not harming lives but plundering, are almost angelic compared to the Calamity Raven Church.

Knowing that the Calamity Raven Church tends towards Chaos Neutral, more chaotic and evil church methods are even more barbaric.

Shafuri had no interest in talking to Boswell and already disliked goblins.

She wouldn’t say much to him.

Reality is cruel beyond imagination; rules are for binding the weak.

Every item Boswell sold could generate 300%~500% profit.

This is true profiteering, and for it, they bear the risk of traveling the continent.

The accompanying giant Ogres and assorted flashy Magic Energy Weapons aren’t for show.

Countless have tried to rob goblins, but few succeeded.

For this, Boswell, the old fox, is naturally aware.

They enjoyed dealing with nobles and royalty from various countries.

Those humans had Dinars with nowhere to spend and lacked necessary trade experience.

Goblin merchants could always acquire a significant amount of Dinars using some peculiar Alchemy Products or Magic Energy Products from these wastrels.

Back then, Zong Shen, to avoid a frontal confrontation with Ogre guards, only took part of the goods and a cargo mecha with an incomplete money box.

Although the total value of these resources is considerable, it’s acceptable for Boswell.

The loss Zong Shen caused him accounted for about 30% of his total profit for this trip.

After an initial futile search and being extorted by Shafuri,

at least for them, Shafuri’s behavior felt like extortion.

Faced with such dire circumstances, Boswell was almost boiling with anger.

For the stingy traveling goblins, losing a penny is akin to cutting a piece of meat from them.

But the situation outweighed the individual; Boswell could only swallow his anger and move on.

Patted his behind, he boarded a large cargo airship heading for Lentax Giant City.

There, he’d find a large airship port and a branch of the Thistle Teeth City Trading Company.

The powerful garrison of Ogre guards and goblin Magic Energy Armor units could give him a sense of safety.

Moreover, Lentax Giant City will host a grand banquet in just over a month.

That’s an unmissable opportunity for selling off goods.

He could offload some procured goods and remaining stock along this merchant journey as compensation for the losses he suffered here.

To bring the goods back, leave them there, and haul the Dinars back to Thistle Teeth City.

With the cargo airship’s speed, it would take approximately three days of non-stop journey.

Thus, Boswell decided to leave this troubled region.

Now, he should have already reached Lentax Giant City.

Zong Shen wasn’t very aware of this.

He still vaguely thought of those useful goblin products.

Things like the [Molotov Fire Spreader], [Burden-Bearer Mecha], [Goblin Bomb], and [Alchemy Potion].

If it weren’t for the constraints of the challenge, he absolutely would find ways to capture some goblin engineers and alchemy masters back; these fellows, combined with the Dwarf Uncle and Alanna, would create a research and development team for the territory.

While Zong Shen was daydreaming, two o’clock in the afternoon arrived.

The small flakes falling from the sky turned into heavier snow.

”By the way, Korby, take some people to the blacksmith shop.”

”Retrieve the anti-slip ground spikes.”

Zong Shen suddenly remembered something as he observed the increasing snow.

Another two hours passed, and the Dwarf Uncle should have produced quite a few anti-slip ground spikes.

It would be best to equip them on the Dragonized Spear and Shield Warriors first.

Previously on the ice, these giant guys were essentially inching forward.

It seemed as if they were imposing on the Frosty Snow Beast.

In reality, it was somewhat awkward, so as not to impact their subsequent battles.

It’s wise to equip them with anti-slip ground spikes before setting out.

Korby accepted the order and led Wolf Rider Squad One from the western gate to the blacksmith shop.
