Global Lords: I Have Information System

Supermassive Black Holes

There’s a supermassive black hole at the center of the Milky Way Galaxy as well.

Apart from black holes formed by stellar collapse, there’s evidence that there might also be some supermassive black holes lurking at the centers of galaxies, with quantities reaching millions or even billions of times that of the sun. These might have existed from the early universe. In so-called ”active galaxies,” the evidence of these supermassive black holes is nothing short of spectacular. NASA points out that these black holes at the centers of galaxies have accretion disks around them that emit extremely intense radiation across various spectra. There’s also a black hole at the center of the Milky Way Galaxy, as we’ve observed the stars in that region rotating at astonishing speeds, as high as 8% the speed of light, indicating that they must be orbiting a very small but extremely massive celestial body. Current estimates suggest that the black hole at the center of the Milky Way has a mass about 4 million times that of the sun.

”Spaghettification” Effect

There’s another piece of evidence proving the existence of black holes called the ”spaghettification” effect. You might wonder what this means, but if you ever have the chance to fall into a black hole, everything will become clear: under the intense gravitational pull of the black hole, you would be stretched into thin strips, like spaghetti. While this is unlikely to happen to you, if a star were to stray too close to a black hole, this would be its fate. In October 2020, astronomers indeed observed the flash emitted by a star being torn apart by a black hole. Thankfully, this ”tragedy” happened 215 million light-years away from us.

Photograph of a Black Hole

The first direct photograph taken by humans of a black hole.

So far, we have collected plenty of indirect evidence for the existence of black holes, including radiation bursts, gravitational waves, and dynamical influences on other celestial bodies, all of which cannot be explained by other known celestial bodies. But in April 2019, humans finally found irrefutable evidence—the Event Horizon Telescope directly captured a photograph of the supermassive black hole at the center of the M87 Galaxy. The name of this telescope might be somewhat misleading, as it is actually a network of telescopes spread worldwide, rather than a single telescope. NASA points out that the more telescopes involved in the photographing, the larger the space captured, and the higher the quality of the final image. In the final photograph taken, we can clearly see the shadow presented by a black hole with a mass of 6.5 billion times that of the sun, and the accretion disk glowing orange around the shadow. On August 26, IT House reported that Tesla released the Autopilot system test version FSD Beta 9.2 on August 16, but Musk (Elon Musk) believes the latest released version is not good enough, and the Autopilot/AI team is working ”as soon as possible” to improve the long-awaited upgrade for the Autopilot system.

IT House learned that Musk mentioned on Twitter today regarding the FSD Beta update, he said, ”We are about to announce Beta 10, the specific time should be next Friday.”

He stated that FSD Beta10 will have a completely retrained neural network system, so it will take a few weeks to adjust and fix bugs, with public testing possible in about four weeks.

Musk: Tesla’s goal for the Autopilot system is to be 10 times safer than human driving

On August 26, foreign media reported that on Wednesday, local time in the U.S., Elon Musk, CEO of electric car manufacturer Tesla, reiterated the company’s ambitious goal in ”Full Self-Driving” (FSD), which is to develop an assisted driving system that is approximately 10 times safer than ordinary human driver driving. When such a level of safety is reached, regulators are likely to allow FSD to operate on public roads as a driverless system.

Prior to making the above comments, Musk had commented on the newly released FSD Beta 9.2, stating that its actual performance was not good enough. He said, ”FSD Beta 9.2 is actually not great, but the Autopilot and AI team is improving it as quickly as possible. We are trying to establish a one-stop solution for both highways and city streets, but this requires a lot of retraining for neural networks.”

At first glance, Musk’s comments do not seem particularly reassuring, and many FSD beta users have also spoken out to ridicule him, posting numerous videos of the driver assistance system operating for extended periods without any perceived intervention. In response, Musk reiterated the company’s goal of developing a driver assistance package that is 1000% safer than human drivers.

Musk clarified, ”By most standards, the performance of FSD Beta 9.2 is impressive, but our goal is to develop a driver assistance system that is 1000% safer than ordinary drivers.”

This itself reveals that Musk and the Tesla AI team have been aware that autonomous vehicles need to be much safer than human driving to be more widely accepted. Even if the safety of autonomous vehicles is twice that of human drivers, the number of people dying in car accidents would greatly decrease. Currently, the National Traffic Highway Safety Administration (NHTSA) is investigating Tesla’s Autopilot and FSD package for alleged accidents involving emergency vehicles.

Over the years, Tesla’s FSD and driver assistance system Autopilot have saved countless lives. In the first quarter of 2021, cars with Tesla Autopilot enabled drove an average of 4.19 million miles (6.74 million kilometers) per accident, compared to 2.05 million miles (3.3 million kilometers) for cars without Autopilot but with active safety features enabled. In contrast, the latest crash data from NHTSA shows that American cars averagely have an accident every 484,000 miles (780,000 kilometers).

Truly understanding just how advanced Tesla’s Autopilot and FSD Beta are is quite challenging, especially compared to other driver assistance features currently being developed by competitors. However, automotive teardown expert Sandy Monroe (Sandy Munro) recently tested Ford’s BlueCruise system and compared it with FSD. He found that although Ford claims BlueCruise to be a ”no intervention needed” autonomous driving solution in certain areas of U.S. highways, Monroe quickly discovered that the system still required manual intervention even during appropriate turns.

The power of western Five-Colored Dragons is arranged in order of red, blue, green, black, and white in terms of strength.

Red Dragons are the most powerful among the Five-Colored Dragons. They have quite high wisdom. They belong to the chaos-oriented evil creatures, enjoying gold and silver coins and the like. They tirelessly pursue the strongest power, being able to use flame attacks.

Blue Dragon. Blue Dragons are the second largest in size. They can create mirages and control the power of wind. Their wisdom is moderate.

Green Dragon. Some say Green Dragons have lower wisdom, but I understand Green Dragon wisdom should be very high. Then Green Dragons are smaller in size than Red and Blue Dragons, and are creatures of orderly evil, considered the most cunning dragon among the Five-Colored Dragons. They are one of the only two dragons among the Five-Colored Dragons that can naturally survive underwater without a decrease in combat power. They are good at deception and using poisonous power, possessing high poison resistance, with very strong venom, usually found in forests and jungles.

Black Dragon. Black Dragons are smaller in size than Red and Blue Dragons, but slightly larger than Green Dragons, and their wisdom is lower than the first three dragons. (Some say its wisdom is slightly higher than Green Dragon, but of course, what I mean by slightly higher than Green Dragon is under the premise that some people consider Green Dragon’s wisdom low, which I do not agree with.) They are chaotic evil creatures, utilizing dark powers. The Black Dragon is the most obsessed with destruction among the Five-Colored Dragons.

White Dragon. White Dragons use the elemental powers of ice and water. They are orderly evil creatures. Their size is the smallest among the Five-Colored Dragons. Their wisdom is also the lowest among the Five-Colored Dragons. They awaken to Dragon Language Magic the latest. The magical ability of an adult White Dragon is similar to that of a young Red Dragon. (There is a difference of three age stages between young and adult.) Their wisdom is just slightly higher than Dragon Beasts, as ordinary White Dragons can speak languages normally. But in terms of intelligence, they’re really lacking. Other dragons vividly refer to White Dragons as ”idiots.” They are usually found in snowy mountains or ice fields.

All Five-Colored Dragons are relatively evil. They are the champions of the Evil Faction. As they age, their strength will gradually increase.
