The northeastern side is the reserved commercial area.

The southeastern side is the residential area of the territory.

All the buildings have been relocated to their respective areas according to their characteristics.

Apart from the four major areas mentioned above, there is also a military zone.

This military zone is set outside the central area.

It is a circular area with a radius of 2 kilometers.

It precisely surrounds the central district.

By then, multiple layers of city walls can be constructed from inside to outside.

First, build two circular city walls around the central and military zones to isolate other external areas.

Don’t be fooled by the seemingly small size of this circular area.

But it is particularly suitable for placing those barrack-type buildings or some functionally sensitive buildings.

And on that piece of land, besides constructing barracks, a portion of the area can also be used as accommodation zones.

According to the area formula of a ring S=π(R²-r²), the actual area of the military zone can reach 15.7 square kilometers, enough to accommodate over a hundred thousand people.

This place is more than sufficient as the military rear.

Moreover, once the city is fully formed, it will turn from an open territory to a semi-open territory, and eventually into a fortress-type territory.

By then, a large number of soldiers will need to be stationed on the outer city towers.

The giant city towers surrounding the entire city serve as both city walls and front-line barracks.

Just like those city tower ruins to the northeast of the territory.

Each has a width of over thirty meters, serving as both city walls and forward forts.

The interior is not solid; a certain thickness of the city walls is maintained.

It’s divided into different rooms with various functions.

The wide top of the city tower can not only station soldiers but also accommodate various large-scale defense equipment.

Even tower constructions and defense tower matrices can be built.

This is what a large city should have in terms of city towers.

Just the outer city towers alone can station hundreds of thousands or even millions of soldiers.

However, despite the benefits of city towers, they are costly to build.

If the territory is to become a giant city accommodating tens of millions of people.

It must occupy an area of thirty to forty kilometers in radius at least.

Then the perimeter of the territory’s outer boundary would be at least two to three hundred kilometers.

This is still a relatively conservative estimate.

Thinking about it made Zong Shen’s scalp tingle.

Even in this world of swords and magic, with various building privileges provided by the Lord System.

Building the territory into a fortress-like giant city still requires a lot of painstaking effort.

Human, material, and time resources, all three major factors are indispensable.

This made Zong Shen involuntarily think of the Great Wall on Earth.

Of course, these are just the plans for the territory’s regions.

Eventually, strategic smaller bases with different functions must be designed in several key terrains surrounding the area.

Such as the mountains to the north, the swamps to the south, the river valley plains to the east, and the distant forests to the west.

So the reserved area for this military zone within the territory is completely adequate.

Now, no matter where you go from the central area, you have to walk at least three kilometers.

Zong Shen walked around the inner city, roughly observing the distribution of buildings within the territory.

Currently, the northwest side only has a [Pasture], [Tier Two Stable], and some roughly cultivated simple farmland.

These farmlands have been specially divided and plowed, appearing well-organized.

However, they have not been planted yet and are reserved as an agricultural area.

Due to the onset of frosty winter, these farmlands have to be temporarily left idle.

The industrial area in the southwest has many more buildings than the northwest agricultural area.

Including manufacturing function-type buildings like [Tier One Tailor Shop], [Tier Two Blacksmith Shop], [Basic Alchemy Workshop], [Bakery], [Brewery], [Basic Pharmacy] arranged neatly in this region.

Following this direction, Zong Shen came to the southeast side.

This is the living area where all residential buildings have been relocated.

The Tier One Grass Huts in the territory have been completely replaced with more advanced houses and stone houses.

Additionally, Marie has constructed a few more in these two days.

Currently, the living area of the territory has a total of 20 [Tier Three Stone Houses] and 68 [Tier Two Houses].

Six [Simple Toilets] have also been set up here, divided into three for men and three for women.

Marie also constructed these herself.

With the increase in population in the territory, two [Simple Toilets] are far from meeting the needs of the subjects.

In comparison, stone houses are more spacious and solid, but they are also much more expensive to build.

These buildings are arranged in two rows along the simple roads within the living area.

Since the Dogman Tribe has moved into the mine, the living needs of the domain are adequately met.

However, once the more than four hundred refugees promised by Baron Bezos arrive.

There will be a need to continue expanding the residential buildings in the living area.

Continually moving north, you’ll see the northeastern area of the territory.

This is the future commercial area, where the [Tavern], [Tier Two Kitchen], and [Tier One Medical Hall] have already been relocated.

The remaining buildings are concentrated in the central area and ring military zone.

Especially in the military zone, a batch of buildings has been installed.

Such as the [Magic Hall], [Watchtower], [Tier One Training Ground], [Communication Crystal Tower], and [Tier One Territory Technology Research Institute] have been placed in the military zone.

As for the central area, aside from the Lord’s Courtyard, there are the unremoved basic fertile lands.

As well as [Moon God Spring], [Water Cellar], ice cellar modified from the basement, a [Tier One Market], a [Tier Two Market], and temporarily stationed in the center is the [Tier Four Giant Cannon Tower].

On the southern side of the inner city, right next to the simple city walls, are the epic-level buildings and fragmented miracles.

The tall [Craftsman Statue] and the [Thunder Domain Miracle] both stand here.

With their extremely high coverage area, it’s enough to encompass the entire territory within the effect range.

The [Red Gold Barrier Pillars] have been placed at eight positions on the territory’s edge.

The apprentice mages have been charging the red gold pillars these two days.

Most of the function-type buildings are scattered around the military zone’s periphery.

Gradually extending and filling outwards.

Further out in the four directions, some defense tower matrices have been set up.

Each directional area has two matrix zones arranged.

Each configured with different defense towers.

Configuration A: [Tower of Thunder] ×1, [Moon Blade Tower] ×1, [Giant Crossbow Tower ×1], [Holy Light Tower ×1], [Necromancer Tower], and [Tier Three Elemental Arrow Tower ×3].

Configuration B: [Moon Blade Tower ×1], [Giant Crossbow Tower ×1], [Holy Light Tower ×1], three [Tier One Elemental Arrow Towers], [Tier Two Elemental Arrow Tower ×1], [Ancient Guardian ×1]

Configuration A is positioned about one kilometer away from the arc-shaped boundary of the territory.

While Configuration B is one kilometer behind Configuration A.

Currently, each area has a consistent area of 43.175 square kilometers.

The closer to the central area, the smaller the range, the closer to the outskirts, the larger the area.

This layout is sufficient to form two coverage circles within each area.

Prioritizing the protection of buildings within the area, coverage by the range of the arrow towers eventually forms an encircling ring around the outer perimeter of the territory.

The overall layout is quite commendable.

Of course, there are still many defensive details that need to be filled in.

This needs to happen step by step as the territory develops.

Zong Shen circled around the central area, getting a clear idea of the territory’s overall layout.

”The planning is commendable, I can already see the prototype of the city.”

”However, now each area is quite far from the central area.”

”Especially the living area, which will be the main shelter for the subjects during the Frosty Winter Challenge.”

”We must temporarily modify the supply strategy during the challenge.”

”Distribute enough food and water to support four to five days by units of houses and stone houses.”

”Arrange small warm stoves properly, prepare pine tar blocks and wood.”

”Additionally, build [Tier One City Walls] in the northern, eastern, and southern directions of the living area to block the invasion of cold winds.”

Zong Shen stood with his hands behind his back, speaking loudly.
