Villain Extra: Rogue Reader

Swoosh!

Ray exited the Arena Section with a tired expression.

”Ahh, that was a good exercise. We should do this more often, right?”

He exclaimed and glanced at the crowd with a wide grin.

As he glanced around, he soon spotted George and William together.

’Ah, what a pity. If they’re together and Sylas isn’t there, my plan is spoiled. Or maybe not.’ He quickly realized his hopes to put these two together had failed.

Meanwhile, George also noticed he was spotted and gave a thumbs-up in response.

”Good show,” George commented. He thoroughly enjoyed this chaotic manner of fighting and zero fakeness.

”Hehe, feel free to give me some sponsor Stellan Points if you liked it.” Ray chuckled heartily and asked without any shame.

”Sure,” George readily nodded and deposited 1,000 Stellan Points on the spot. ”I was entertained, but time is ticking down, so I shall make my exit.”

A few seconds later, George left the arena, whereas William kept to himself.

He was intrigued by the Arena Section, but refrained from making any comments on Ray’s victory.

It was true that he won against many students. But the methods he used were unorthodox and crooked if he had to be honest.

This was something William could not agree on, as he was taught by his parents to be honorable and have integrity.

Although William didn’t dislike Ray, he also couldn’t be fond of him.

’Still, he’s better than the Fourth Prince, who only treats people well who are useful to him.’ William was slow at times, but he wasn’t that naive.

Of course, his opinion was worth as much as a fart in Ray’s eyes.

’I cheered you up as a loyal reader, but you ruined my eyes and mood. Now, because of you, I even landed in this world as an extra, so fuck you.’ He was simply a rogue reader now who wanted nothing more than to beat up William.

However, he couldn’t because his plot armor was too thick, and he needed this dumb protagonist to do all the heavy lifting work while he would go ahead and steal all the rewards.

”Here’s your card,” Belva approached him and explained, ”A total of 3,740 points in total.”

She was exasperated by the large number of points. It was already an exaggerated amount to earn 2,740 points, but to think George would deposit a whopping 1,000 points without hesitation, causing the total points to reach 3,740.

By now, it was safe to say that Ray had the highest Stellan Points as a first-year.

But what was truly disappointing was that she doubted those points would be used for a good cause.

”Can I use these points to skip the welcome ceremony?” Ray suddenly asked.

’As expected.’ Belva sighed inwardly when her suspicion really came true. He seriously despised doing anything that required him to work hard.

”You can, but it will cost a lot.” Belva cleared her throat.

”How much is a lot?”

”About 2,000 points.”

”Math again... do the subtraction for me.”

Belva sighed. She took a deep breath and explained, ”You have 3,740 points right now, so if you were to skip the ceremony, you would have 1,740 points left. And with those points, you could probably skip about 1 week of classes?”

Ray nodded his head in understanding. ”So it’s either skip 3 weeks of classes or 1 week and the ceremony. What a difficult choice.”

This was a big predicament.

He clicked his tongue and glanced at the remaining students in the crowd.

”Does anyone else want to beat me up? Come to the arena, and we can go again! Very cheap, 300 points each only, and I promise I won’t use the same tactic I did.”

Needless to say, there was a complete dead air silence.

Who was foolish enough to challenge him again?

Not to mention his weird, fast movement skills.

Just the fact that he could dodge a lot of attacks was something else, but he could even launch dishonorable attacks, which made them frown deeply.

As much as they hated to admit it, they all knew Ray wasn’t an easy opponent.

”What a bunch of wussies.” Ray clicked his tongue when he heard no response. He should have taunted and provoked more if he knew there weren’t going to be any more brave people.

Suddenly, a voice echoed and volunteered.

”I’ll do it!”

”Oh yeah—”

Ray was initially excited until he noticed who the voice belonged to.

’Why you?’ He cursed inwardly when the person who volunteered was none other than William.

Want to use him to get a power-up?

Want to face-slap him?

Dream on!!!!

As if he were that cannon fodder character used to increase the protagonist’s overall attribute and fame.

He was a Villain Extra, not cannon fodder.

”Do you even have 1,000 points?” Ray asked coolly.

”You didn’t even bet your points earlier, though.” William tilted his head.

He might not be present at the time of the bet, but through the gossiping from other students, he learned the overall gist.

”Wow, do you even have any shame?” Ray shook his head and flashed a disdainful gaze.

”You have no points, but still want to bet? This is an Arena Section, not your beggar section. If you have no points, then go somewhere else to scam points.”

The statement was so ironic because he also did the same thing.

Yet he was now putting on a righteous air and accusing others of doing the exact same thing as him.

Truly, they must give their hats off to him!

William was quickly placed in a predicament. He wasn’t shameless enough like Ray to continue such an action.

”Can anyone lend me their points to bet? I promise to pay it back with interest.” William turned to the crowd and asked.

’Shit, I can’t let him get the protagonist scene on me.’ Ray knew the danger and quickly interrupted.

”Yeah, lend your hard-earned points to him. You should trust him that he can repay you all back.” He curled his lips upward and flashed the most malicious grin ever.
