Villain's Evolution: Investing in My Minions Yields Crazy Returns!

”Vice Dean, these three hundred thousand contribution points can be freely exchanged for resources, right?”

”As long as the resources fall within your redemption authority, naturally.”

”Then what if I want to exchange them for materials suitable for lower level students?”

Albert was slightly stunned upon hearing this and raised an eyebrow. ”Lower level students?”

”For example, materials that assist with profession awakening or resources that improve mana perception.”

”What do you need those things for?” The vice dean glanced at him.

Victor merely smiled without answering.

A look of understanding appeared in Albert’s eyes.

”Are you preparing them for those people around you again?”

”Something like that.” Victor didn’t bother denying it. After all, it was no longer a secret that his new obsession was providing his subordinates with treasures and resources.

Albert shook his head in defeat.

”Do as you please. Since the contribution points have already been given to you, how you use them is entirely your decision.”

Hearing this, the smile on Victor’s face grew even brighter.

After giving him a few more instructions, Albert left the hospital room with the two instructors.

Before leaving, he specifically reminded Victor that he was forbidden from leaving the medical center without permission or engaging in intense training until his injuries had completely healed.

Naturally, Victor readily agreed.

As for when he would actually resume training, that would depend on how quickly his body recovered.

...

Night fell.

The Central Medical Center gradually grew quiet.

Victor had already persuaded Leah to return and get some rest, leaving him alone in the hospital room.

Moonlight streamed through the window, illuminating the silver white resource redemption card beside his bed and giving it a faint glow.

He reached out, picked up the card, examined it briefly, and then stored it in his storage ring with a satisfied expression.

”Looks like all that trouble wasn’t for nothing.”

Three hundred thousand academy contribution points, along with the twenty Investment Points, fifteen Free Attribute Points, and one Fate Reversal Voucher awarded by the system, were already enough to take both his personal strength and his growing forces to another level.

However, what Victor was truly looking forward to was something else entirely.

After that life and death battle during the day, he could clearly feel that the mana circulation within his body had undergone a noticeable change.

Although his body was still weak, his mental power seemed much more sensitive when controlling mana. Even the cultivation bottleneck that had remained unchanged for quite some time was beginning to show signs of loosening.

”It seems the benefits of fighting opponents above my level are even greater than I imagined.”

Victor slowly closed his eyes.

He didn’t begin circulating his mana. Instead, he first directed his mental power inward, carefully sensing the residual energy fluctuations within his mana channels.

After the purification performed by the high level healer, the abyssal contamination had been almost completely eliminated, while Mana Devour was gradually breaking down the last traces of residual energy.

And once that energy had completely dissipated, he discovered that his mana circulation had actually become more refined than before.

In particular, the connection between his mental power and the fire element seemed to have grown even closer.

Victor’s heart stirred as he began slowly guiding the mana within his body along his usual cultivation route.

As the mana continued flowing, the circulation that had become sluggish due to his severe injuries gradually stabilized. Under the protection of the gentle healing mana, the channels that had not yet fully recovered also slowly adapted to the new intensity.

An unknown amount of time passed.

Hum!

A strange fluctuation suddenly emerged from within his body.

Victor felt as though something in inside him had been gently shattered. His mana capacity, which had already been approaching its limit, suddenly expanded once again.

Immediately afterward, a familiar system notification appeared before his eyes.

[Ding!]

[Detected that the host has experienced an intense life and death battle, resulting in significant improvements to combat experience and mana control!]

[The host has successfully broken through the current level bottleneck!]

[Level Up!]

[Current Level: 23!]

[Strength +1!]

[Constitution +1!]

[Agility +1!]

[Spirit +1!]

[Obtained Free Attribute Points ×4!]

[Maximum Mana Increased!]

[Current Mana Restored to Maximum!]

Victor’s eyes snapped open.

A breakthrough!

At the same time, a warm current of energy rapidly spread throughout his body. His mental power, which had been severely depleted by the battle, was suddenly replenished, and his mana returned to its maximum capacity.

However, leveling up didn’t mean that his injuries would magically disappear.

The broken ribs in his chest still required treatment, while his left arm still bore the burn and shoulder injury. The severely damaged muscles and mana channels in his right arm had not completely recovered either. Nevertheless, with the increase in his Constitution, his body’s recovery ability had clearly improved considerably.

Feeling the abundant mana once again filling his body, the corners of Victor’s mouth slowly curved upward.

”Finally, Level 23.”

He quickly opened his personal status panel.

Fifteen of the nineteen Free Attribute Points had come from the previous SSS event reward, while the remaining four had just been obtained from leveling up.

After thinking about it briefly, Victor decided not to allocate them for the time being.

He would soon be entering the Inferno Prison Secret Realm, and there was no telling what dangers awaited him there.

Keeping some Free Attribute Points in reserve might prove far more useful at a critical moment.

As for now, there was something even more important he needed to consider.

Victor opened the Investment System and focused his attention on the special reward.
