My Werewolf System

Chapter 784 Gather The Howlers

The setup on the Howlersʼ end was underway. Gary had stated that their group would go on the attack. Rather than waiting for what was going to happen, he would take a large group of them and head over to the Phoenix Gang to take them out and stop this all.

The Howlersʼ situation was tense as word had been passed around the squad as to what was taking place. The members of the Howlers themselves had been told whether they would join the attack or not.

If they didnʼt, then they could no longer call themselves members of the Howlers. This was Kaiʼs orders.

The members were experiencing the benefit of being in the gang. Having a good life, a good wage while being in a city where they were protected and didnʼt have to fear the troubles from other gangs for a while now.

Now, when the gang was in trouble, going to war against the others, with a gang as large as the Phoenix, they needed everybody, and it wasnʼt fair for the members to back out now or choose not to fight.

They needed to play their part and not just have their cake and eat it. Still, it didnʼt stop the members from talking among themselves.

”Hey, are we really going to go up against one of the Kings? I mean, thatʼs crazy; this is practically suicide for us, right?”

”Do we really have a choice? The Phoenix gang were the ones that attacked us! I heard they didnʼt just attack other gang members but they attacked the public as well, and Sin is one crazy king. If he is to fight in Slough, do you think he would take us in as members? No, he would burn us all alive.”

”Like you said, it doesnʼt look like we have a choice, but is fighting really the right thing to do right now? Going to them, why donʼt we just stay back and, you know, try to negotiate?”

”Hey, how long have you been in the Howlers for? Donʼt you think they would have already tried something like that? The fact that they attacked the general public, it was the last straw; we Howlers have to do something.”

Most of the members agreed to fight, with only a few deciding to quit at the risk of their own lives. At the same time, not everyone was involved in the plan to go.

Crowley, the teacher of the Altered, and someone who had somewhat become an official member, would be staying.

Kai was careful to choose those that were staying behind. Based on Crowleyʼs nature, he would help out the public no matter what occurred.

Besides them, there were also other surprising Altered that would act if trouble came. The mayor, Ben Clove, and even Xin Clove were currently present as well.

If the city became a warzone while they were attacking the other area, it wouldnʼt be as easy to take out Slough as the Phoenix gang thought.

One of the large hotels had been booked out as no guests were allowed in it for the day. The Howlers members had gathered around two hundred of them in total.

Some carried Anti-Altered weapons, some carried normal weapons, while others were Altered themselves. All of them were wearing the black and gold uniform of the gang.

Soon arriving into the ring of people, there were four people wearing masks. They knew these as the leaders of the Howlers, but they noticed something strange.

Although they would only see the leaders in these strange masks, they wondered why did some of them look different, and why wasnʼt everyone present.

Of course, some knew the reason; for one, one of the leaders hadnʼt been seen for over a year now. This was Innu, who was still with the Altered Hunters.

Then there was Austin; many knew about him, the real him, and how he was one of the leaders. Many had already guessed it because there werenʼt many that matched his size and posture.

However, now on the stage, there was one person they didnʼt notice. Under the masks, Kai, Maria, and Olivia were there, but there was another woman, and oddly a scrawny young boy wearing glasses behind her.

ʼWhile Austin is out of it, I will take his place for now,ʼ Vere thought to herself. She was determined to get revenge. She hadnʼt been invited as a core member.

However, due to her importance linking to the city, Kai wanted to keep a close eye on her. He didnʼt want her to fight, but there were too many strong emotions behind it all.

Finally, as they waited, three more were walking through the crowd; these three wore no masks, but everyone noticed them instantly.

”Why is everyone looking at me like Iʼm some type of dead person?” Midwak said with a smile. ”Iʼm very much alive, and I will get my payback.”

Gary had been waiting for Midwak to get better and to travel from Notsburg. He hadnʼt come alone either, bringing two of his turned Werewolves, Bardo and Bardolph.

ʼNow those are his two right-hand men. Theyʼre in the system since whatever Beta wolves Midwak creates come under my umbrella as Alpha. Either way, we are going to need everything we can get.ʼ

Not saying much, Gary started to move forward. ”Letʼs move out!” Gary declared with his hand in the air.

The rest cheered and followed, heading outside.

Waiting for them were several buses, a few large five-seater SUVs, and the limo that they would often take. All of them fortified to take Altered attacks to some degree.

The members quickly rushed on board, and Midwak, along with his two Werewolves, came with Gary and the others, heading into the limo, heading straight for the City belonging to one of the Kings.

”Letʼs go to Inferno City,” Kai stated.

At the same time, Sin and the others had just returned to his home in Inferno City, when a particular person had a question for him.

”So, what are we going to do?” Glutton asked. ”Are we going to listen to Lupis and attack the Howlers? I feel like they have already figured us out by now from the last attack.”

Sin started to laugh loudly as he heard this. ”So what if they have figured out who we are?” Sin replied back. ”Donʼt worry; I wasnʼt lying when I said we would use everything we have at our disposal, and donʼt worry about a thing. They wonʼt even make it to our city. Iʼm sure soon they will lose the will to do anything before they even reach here.”
