My Werewolf System

Chapter 760 The fight between the strongest

Listening to Gary’s words, the others had made their resolve not to get involved in this fight between the two werewolves. They took a step back and stood by the door, away from everything that was about to happen.

Midwak was by far the hardest opponent that any of them had ever faced, and unlike some Altered or enemies that had reached the peak of their strength, he, being a werewolf, was determined to get stronger. He wouldnʼt be the same person that they had all fought against, and now Gary was going up against him alone, and the night sky wasnʼt out. Because of all of this, Gary had received an unexpected quest.

[You have taken the initiative as a leader to face a member of your pack who is close to your level. Due to your bravery, if you complete the task, you will be rewarded.]

[Skill Upgrade: Claw Drain Level 2 >>>> Claw Drain Level 3]

Gary knew full well the importance of skills, and the great thing was that the higher his skills were, it would mean when it was nighttime, they would increase to the next level.

[Full Transformation Activated]

Gary had gone ahead, turning into his full werewolf form just as Midwak did. It wasnʼt time for him to hold back or test the waters. If he faltered for a moment, there was a high chance for him to lose this fight.

ʼWithout the night sky, my skills donʼt increase, and my energy doesnʼt double, but this is something that I have to do!ʼ

Midwak placed his hand out toward the charging Gary. ”Youʼre either very brave or very stupid!”

From his fingertips, his fingernails shot out. Immediately, Gary moved to the side, jumping, and the nails followed him. When he got close, he slid across the ground, and with his hand, swiped at Midwakʼs leg.

However, it didnʼt hit as Midwak had jumped up in the air, avoiding the expected strike, and with his other hand out, he shot out his nails toward the ground where Gary was at. Lifting his arms up, Gary took the hit, and they pierced his skin.

When Midwak went to land on the ground, though, Gary opened up his guard and threw an overhand right. Midwak had prepared to block the hit, lifting both arms and taking the powerful blow that sent him back.

ʼThis is a lot stronger than last time!ʼ Midwak thought. ʼHis hits are stronger, and his movements are faster than before. It hasnʼt been that long. What has this kid done to get so strong so fast? He couldnʼt have eaten that many Altered, and he isnʼt the type to be increasing his pack just to get stronger, so how!ʼ

Midwak was about to take another peek but Gary hadnʼt stopped there.

[Lethal Pounce]

He leapt toward Midwak and threw another overhand, hitting him in the gut and sending him far back, crashing into the wall.

As quick as he crashed into the wall, he had gotten out, and there was a furious look in his eye as he charged forward.

[Lethal Pounce!]

Garyʼs body went and leapt to its closest target, but for the first time since using the skill, Midwak had dodged right under it. He didnʼt retreat as he saw Gary charging at him; he charged forward, and because he didnʼt hesitate, he could avoid the skill.

As Gary went past, he grabbed the back of Garyʼs leg right by his ankle and flung him, slamming him right into the ground. The floor tiles cracked, and the others flinched seeing this.

Not stopping there, Midwak went to strike with another fist, until out from the ground, a large visible line of energy had come out.

[Claw Strike]

It hit Midwak, sending him flying back and scratching across his chest, drawing blood. Gary had gotten up off the floor and leapt back, stumbling a bit from the hit.

ʼDamn this werewolf. Heʼs as strong as ever!ʼ Gary thought, spitting out the blood that had formed in his mouth.

“Hahah!” Midwak laughed. “I see that you have learned some new tricks. “You have gotten better and so much stronger in such a short amount of time. You haven’t even been a werewolf for a long time. I truly don’t know how you do it.”

“Maybe I wonʼt kill you after all, and that way, you can tell me your secrets. I just have to beat you into submission after all, and then everything you have will be mine.”

The Claw Strike and the Lethal Pounce moves used up a large amount of energy, and without the night sky, he had to be cautious about their use as well. His body would heal, and in this state, it all was consuming a lot of energy.

“Is Gary winning this thing?” Marie asked.

“Of course, he is,” Austin replied. “He will win this thing; he is our boss, and he will forever be… he will win this because heʼs not just fighting for himself, but fighting for the rest of us as well.”

Gary and Midwak looked at each other, huffing and panting, and they both charged together at the same time.

The result of the fight had brought about a change within the Howlers. Everything started to move at a fast pace. After all, the entire group was going against the time limit, and everyone seemed to be making a move.

The Tier-1 gangs, that were known as the Kings. NIRV, the biggest corporation for Altered solutions. White Rose, the Altered division that was created to protect the governments of the world, the Altered Hunters who would do whatever it took to rid the world of the Altereds, and finally, the other Werewolf Alpha.

A year had passed, and a big change was coming to the world as they knew it.

END OF PART 2

Authorʼs Note: In my head, this book is split into 4 major parts of the story. The end of the Underdogs was part 1, and here we have part 2. Now we will be moving into the final 2 parts of the story. These parts could be longer or shorter than the current parts, so donʼt take it as a guess as to when the book will end.
