My Werewolf System

Chapter 782 The power to Change

A large mechanical vehicle, slightly larger than that of a bus, was driving down the highway. It stood out because it was reinforced on the outside, somewhat similar to an armored military vehicle, and it had this special coat of red paint.

The inside of the vehicle was a lot more luxurious than the outside, as it was covered in red velvet and a strange fluffy material, while it had TV screens, seating areas, and consoles for entertainment.

This vehicle was the primary mode of transport for the Phoenix gang, and it would only move when there was a certain individual inside, Sin. Unlike the other kings who liked to hide their identity as to who exactly was the leader.

It was different for Sin, who was a well-known, wild figure who wished to do as he liked. He was also one who constantly showed displays of his power to the others, making sure that they didnʼt attempt to attack him.

”So who are we meeting exactly?” Raven asked.

Inside the vehicle, there were several members who belonged to the group. They werenʼt just any members, though; these were the ones who had been with Sin from the beginning, from the creation of the gang.

There was Glutton, a large giant man who was close to seven feet tall. Although large in size, it wasnʼt from muscle. Instead, it appeared to be more of a blubber. He had rolls and rolls of fat on him and wore a thin red tank top.

To his side, there were two more members, one named Garbo, who was the complete opposite of Glutton. Small and skinny to the point where people would compare him to a twig, but he had something strange about him. While sitting down, his leg was moving up and down constantly, and once in a while, he would have an odd twitch.

Then there was Greed, a man who was also wearing a red sleeveless top, but his arms were covered in scars to the point it looked like tattoos on his skin. Whenever one of these men had gotten involved with troubles related to the Phoenix gang in the past, the fighting would stop. Even if it was against the other kings, they realized it had gone too far, and they chose to pull back. They had a reputation that was almost just as big as Sin himself. Quite easily, every single one of them could have become leaders of tier 2 gangs in their own right, but instead, they were working under Sin.

On the bus, there werenʼt just them, as two more guests had joined them, Raven and Gil. It was the first time they were in the vehicle.

”You two have done well so far; you managed to do a better job than Stunker. I canʼt believe he got taken out and was the only one to fail, while you two succeeded,” Sin explained. ”That is why I invited the two of you.”

Sin smiled as he swung his red fluffy scarf over his neck. He wasnʼt even wearing a top and only had the fluffy scarf on his body. When turning around, a large tattoo that covered his whole back, that of a phoenix, could be seen.

”Whatʼs this meeting about, is it getting rid of the Howlers?” Raven asked.

”Hahaha,” Sin started to laugh. ”I suspect it is, but if you want to live, then I should tell you now, itʼs best if you keep your mouth shut around these guys because they have just as much power as me.”

Raven caught on fairly quickly. The only people that would have as much power as him were one of the Kings. But then why were they meeting with each other? All of the Kings should be against each other, or at least, staying on neutral terms. There was no news of two of the Kings being close to one another.

The bus had gone off the motorway and started to head down some country lanes. It was a bumpy ride, but they had eventually come across what looked like an abandoned castle in the middle of a field. Part of its walls, as well as other areas, had been destroyed, with bricks having fallen off it.

What was strange was the fact that there were no vehicles present. But when looking out the window, they could see a group of people. There were around ten of them, all wearing hooded clothing that covered their heads, making it hard to see their faces clearly.

For a moment, Ravenʼs eyes had caught with one of them, and a shiver was sent through his whole body. His hand couldnʼt stop shaking, and he needed to hold it steady.

ʼEven after taking the Mythical serum, I still feel like this,ʼ Raven thought. As he stood up, he went to touch the side of his head, and Gil was ready to leave as well until he noticed what was happening.

”Iʼve been getting headaches too,” Gil said. ”The more I turn into our Altered forms, the more headaches I get, but I can bear through the pain.”

Raven nodded as he was in agreement. This pain was nothing for him to achieve his goal, but he did wonder, was it normal for other Altereds to feel the same type of pain.

Sin descended down, along with his three men, while Gil and Raven stayed at the back. The other group was sitting among the rubble, and at the very back, a wide-shouldered man was sitting on top of a pile of rocks, holding one in his hand and staring at the rest.

”Iʼm not in a good mood, Sin,” the hooded man in the back said, his voice low, almost like a growl. All of them could feel the bass of his voice even though they were standing several meters away.

”Sorry to hear that, Lupis; letʼs see if we can make your day better,” Sin smiled.
