Immortal-Exterminating Divine Venerable

’Xuanyuan’s Sword Dao encompasses all things, much like a real world, but there’s a clear hierarchy within it…’

With the Vajra Indestructible Divine Technique protecting him, Yang Xiao had no fear of the surrounding Nine Nether Evil Qi.

He began to comprehend the Sword Intent Seed in his mind.

This Sword Intent Seed came from Emperor Xuanyuan. As the last of the Ancient Generation to attain the Dao, he was nevertheless hailed as one of the most powerful Great Emperors of the Ancient Era.

Yang Xiao knew that this cousin from his second life was truly extraordinary.

Moreover, since he was the one who had personally laid the foundation for Emperor Xuanyuan’s Sword Dao, he naturally understood Xuanyuan’s Sword Dao better than anyone else.

’He built his foundation on a Low Grade Earth Element Dao Body. As a result, the concepts of mountains, rivers, and streams are the most powerful and immortal. The birds, fish, and insects born from it lack high spirituality. The sun, moon, and stars are passably formed… right…’

Yang Xiao analyzed it in detail, losing all track of time.

A flash of inspiration struck him.

Suddenly, he understood.

’There are no All Heavens and Myriad Races! In Xuanyuan’s world, there are none of the All Heavens and Myriad Races—only some low-level mortal species, and not even any mortals! This is an incomplete world.’

Yang Xiao’s eyes lit up.

He had been worried that Xuanyuan’s world would be too complete.

If it were too complete, it would be impossible for him to ever surpass it.

But its incompleteness gave him a chance to surpass it.

At the same time, by understanding its flaws, he could forge his own Sword Dao.

’The reason it cannot give birth to the All Heavens and Myriad Races is that Xuanyuan’s foundation is Earth Elemental Power. Although Earth Elemental Power can encompass all things, it cannot give birth to spiritual intelligence. But my fire can!’

In his first life, Yang Xiao’s understanding of fire was limited to its destructive power.

Incineration.

Burning out.

Total annihilation.

But in his second life, he was reborn into the Human Race.

And he came to understand.

Fire is the source of civilization.

It was because the Human Race grasped the power of fire that they began their path to prominence.

Fire taught them to use tools.

Fire taught them to draw upon the power between heaven and earth.

To contend with the Ten Thousand Races.

It was at that time that Yang Xiao, after being plotted against, had turned to seeking the essence of plants and herbs to refine an Unparalleled Divine Pill.

He came to comprehend the Five Elements Dao.

It too was born from within fire.

He understood even more deeply that all things and the Five Elements are divided into Yin and Yang.

Therefore, within fire, there was slaughter and destruction, but there was also life force.

Just like the great sun in the sky, it shines upon all things, bringing warmth, and allowing living beings to gain strength and vitality.

And in fact.

That too was fire.

A terrifying ball of flame.

So, after two lifetimes of reincarnation, Yang Xiao was very clear.

Fire.

It was a very peculiar power.

It represented spirit.

It represented civilization.

It possessed terrifying destructive power.

And yet, it also held life force.

The Power of Fire he had grasped in his first life was far too one-sided.

’Although it was one-sided, my Flame Emperor Divine Fist from my first life pushed the destructive power of fire to its absolute limit. So now, my Sword Dao should incorporate my Flame Emperor Divine Fist, as well as the power I have newly comprehended: the civilization of fire, the life force of fire.’

Yang Xiao had figured out his path.

He smiled.

He opened his eyes.

And at this very moment.

He had also walked out of the Nine Nether Earth Rift.

Before him was a stretch of jungle.

With a thought, his Spiritual Power extended outwards, scanning a thousand li.

He immediately discovered countless powerful life forms.

All of them were Barbaric Beasts.

’So many Barbaric Beasts... it seems I’ve entered the Celestial Cloud Mountain Range. Right, the Four Great Forbidden Lands all border the Celestial Cloud Mountain Range, and the Nine Nether Earth Rift is no exception. This area is close to the Nine Nether Earth Rift, so even Barbaric Beasts wouldn’t dare to enter lightly. This is the perfect place to go into seclusion and create the first technique of my Sword Dao.’

Yang Xiao did not leave immediately.

He closed his eyes.

He sat down cross-legged. The Dragon Roar Sword flew out and landed across his knees.

His Heart Spirit, however, merged with the Black Obsidian Gold inside his body, which was being continuously refined by the True Greater Yang Fire. The piece of Black Obsidian Gold had already faintly taken the shape of a sword.

On the sword’s body, the Four Great Secret Patterns flickered in and out of existence.

Yang Xiao smiled faintly, having just established the foundation of his Sword Dao.

Xuanyuan’s Sword Dao.

It was the power of earth.

Heavy.

All-encompassing.

The most suitable path for developing One Sword Transcends the World.

But Yang Xiao’s Sword Dao.

Was based on fire.

With the knowledge from his first life, it might have been difficult for him to walk the path of One Sword Transcends the World, but now, things were different.

Not only had he comprehended the other side of fire,

he also had the other three of the Four Great Secret Patterns.

Greater Yang.

Nine Yang.

Star.

And all of these seemed to be related to fire.

Yang Xiao’s Heart Spirit immediately sank into profound contemplation.

One day.

Two days.

Three days, then ten days passed.

Yang Xiao suddenly roused himself from his comprehension.

He murmured to himself.

Starting with the four Secret Patterns he cultivated,

his gaze fell upon the one he was least familiar with.

The Star Secret Pattern.

’A star contains all living things, but at its very core is fire, just like the magma beneath the earth. And according to the principles my master once taught, a star can also grow. If it continues to grow, it will continuously transform, eventually becoming a sun.’

’His Nine Yang Celestial Skill was derived from this concept.’

’Since that’s the case, then I shall use Star as the foundation, Greater Yang as the extreme, and Nine Yang as the measure to shape the power of fire.’

Yang Xiao was enlightened.

Truly enlightened.

He stood up.

He slashed out with his sword.

In the world, stars seemed to be revolving.

And within the stars, there was endless flame.

He slashed out with his sword.

The stars exploded.

Annihilating everything.

With this slash.

The very air around him seemed to explode.

Terrifying.

Utterly terrifying.

But Yang Xiao laughed.

’With fire as the root and Star as the first transformation, the power of this slash is not much weaker than the first form of the Flame Emperor Divine Fist. With one slash, even a Tier Seven Martial Saint would be blown to bits.’

’I’ve finally forged my own Sword Dao!’

’Then this first sword technique shall be called Meteor Fall!’

Meteor Fall.

It took its meaning from the explosion of stars.

It followed the path of destructive power.

But it also contained the life force of fire.

Because a star must fall to evolve.

From an ordinary star of earth and rock, it could transform into a blazing solar star.

If he succeeded,

the second move of Yang Xiao’s Sword Dao would appear.

Blazing Sun!

However, Yang Xiao did not immediately try to comprehend the next slash, because he needed to solidify his foundation.

He would let it transform naturally.

Only through natural transformation could he achieve the true Greater Yang Dao.

Then, using the Greater Yang as a foundation, he would progress to the Nine Yang Dao.

Continuously evolving.

Repeating the cycle of reincarnation.

To manifest his own world.

A world of fire.

But now, with Meteor Fall just created,

what Yang Xiao needed was accumulation.

He would certainly not mess up his own foundation.

It was just like Xuanyuan back then. After Yang Xiao had taught him the Void Sword Manual, Xuanyuan had buried himself in the sand to meticulously comprehend the Dao of Earth.

He was called a fool and a madman, but he never backed down.

That was how he ultimately achieved what he has today.

’As Xuanyuan’s older cousin, how could I be inferior to him?’

’Master once said that the earth beneath our feet is also a star. For me to comprehend the earth is to comprehend the stars, to perfect the Star Dao. Combining it with the ferocity of fire will make Meteor Fall even stronger.’

’And Xuanyuan’s Sword Intent also contains the concept of stars. I will use his Sword Intent to sharpen my own.’

Yang Xiao smiled.

He had created the first technique of his Sword Dao, Meteor Fall.

He was very satisfied.

It also compensated for his current lack of Attack Power.

’But for now, I should leave this place. I wonder how Father is doing…’

Behind Yang Xiao, the Profound Feather Divine Technique activated, and a flash of iridescent light appeared.

Two wings, each over two hundred zhang long, materialized.

With a light flap, Yang Xiao shot two hundred li away.

Half an hour later, he had crossed over ten thousand li and arrived at the outskirts of the Celestial Cloud Mountain Range.

He landed on the ground.

He had intended to find someone to ask for directions.

But with a stir of his Heart Spirit, he suddenly sensed a familiar aura.

Then, a great roar reached his ears.

”Lu Fangliang! You treacherous disciple, surrender to me at once!”

Yang Xiao’s expression changed instantly.

His figure flashed as he flew towards the source of the voice.
