Immortal-Exterminating Divine Venerable

Entering the Earth Flame Cave again, Yang Xiao was much more familiar with the path.

He had already harvested the surrounding Spirit Medicines, so there was nothing to distract him.

Instead, he headed as deep as he could into the cave.

He needed to get close to the restriction, find a secluded spot, and focus on his recovery.

His current condition was extremely poor.

That old fiend Yanm Changqing’s Palm Power was deadly.

It would be bad if he delayed any longer.

But just as Yang Xiao was heading deeper into the cave, he suddenly heard a familiar, complaining voice.

”Senior Brother Yanm, we’ve been walking for so long. How come we haven’t found any mature Spirit Medicines? Weren’t there supposed to be plenty in this Earth Flame Cave? Why haven’t we seen a single one…”

”Junior Sister Qin, have a little patience. While it’s true that few people come to the Earth Flame Cave, didn’t Yang Xiao visit once before? He must have taken a good number of Spirit Medicines. If we search patiently, we should still have a great harvest.”

Hearing these voices, Yang Xiao stopped in his tracks.

’Is that the bitch Qin Yan? And someone named Yanm... Good. This is just perfect.’

A sweep of Yang Xiao’s Spiritual Power confirmed their identities.

A cruel smile appeared on his face.

’One of these two is named Yanm. He must be related to Yanm Kuan.’

’And the other is Qin Yan, the one who sold me out to Yanm Kuan.’

’How could I possibly let them go?’

’I was wondering how that bitch managed to connect with Yanm Kuan, the Great Elder of Medicine King Valley. I originally thought it was through her ties to the Purple Sun Sect. It seems now she must have gone through that man with the surname Yanm.’

Yang Xiao’s mind raced.

And he deduced the truth.

Ever since deliberately distancing herself from Yang Xiao, Qin Yan had been single-mindedly trying to integrate into life at Medicine King Valley. She had approached many people in the process.

Ultimately, she chose Yanm Xifeng.

Since Yanm Xifeng was a member of the Yanm Family, she used Yang Xiao as a stepping stone for her own advancement.

But to her surprise, the Great Elder Yanm Kuan never mentioned avenging Yanm Liben.

Instead, he was very interested in Yang Xiao’s life and experiences.

After hearing about his fortuitous encounters, he ultimately decided he had to meet him.

This surprised Qin Yan greatly.

Later, however, she and Yanm Xifeng became close, recently even becoming Dao partners. He was even willing to share a piece of the Earth Fire Medicine King Order with her.

And so, Qin Yan finally understood.

Yanm Kuan was after Yang Xiao’s fortuitous opportunities in order to achieve a breakthrough.

”I wonder if that guy, Yang Xiao, is dead yet?”

At this time, Qin Yan and Yanm Xifeng still had no idea that Yanm Kuan had died at Yang Xiao’s hands.

Few in the entire Medicine King Valley knew about this matter.

It had been suppressed by Qin Xuejiao.

Only a few high-ranking members were aware.

And since Yanm Xifeng was busy courting Qin Yan, he naturally didn’t know either.

Yanm Xifeng, however, knew what became of those whose opportunities were stolen by his uncle.

Hearing Qin Yan ask this, he couldn’t help but smile faintly. ”He probably won’t die, but he’ll be turned into an idiot. Maybe you’ll even get to see him after we leave.”

”Turned into an idiot? That’s just perfect. That bastard used to be so arrogant.”

Qin Yan sneered.

She had once practically thrown herself at Yang Xiao, only to be ignored.

It left her feeling deeply resentful.

Although now, in hindsight, it seemed like a good thing.

Otherwise, how would she have ever met a great match like Yanm Xifeng?

But deep down, she was still furious about it.

”There’s no need to be angry, Junior Sister. Once we get out, we can teach him a lesson however we please. We could even make him bark like a dog…”

Yanm Xifeng said with a laugh.

Just then, a low voice came from behind them. ”Is that so? Make me bark like a dog? Why don’t you two come and try.”

”Yang Xiao!”

”How can it be you!”

The two cries of alarm escaped from Qin Yan and Yanm Xifeng’s lips.

Clearly, Yang Xiao’s appearance was a great shock to them.

”Weren’t you just saying you’d make me bark like a dog? Why aren’t you trying now?”

Yang Xiao sneered.

’These two worthless curs.’

’Not only did they betray me to Yanm Kuan, but they also bad-mouth me like this behind my back. They truly don’t deserve to live.’

”S-Senior Brother Yang, we were just…”

Yanm Xifeng’s face paled as he started to explain.

He knew that Yang Xiao had slain three True Inheritors, and he was no match for two of them himself.

Now that they were cornered, his first instinct was to beg for mercy.

Lest he be killed right here.

Qin Yan, however, had sharp eyes. In the dim surroundings, she noticed at a glance that Yang Xiao was covered in wounds and reeked of blood.

He was clearly not lightly injured.

She immediately shrieked, ”Haha, Yang Xiao, you’ve finally gotten what you deserve! Look at you! Your injuries must be severe, right? Let’s see you act so arrogant now.”

Hearing this, Yanm Xifeng also channeled the Innate True Qi in his body and saw Yang Xiao’s injuries.

His power was greater than Qin Yan’s, so his vision was naturally clearer.

He could see that Yang Xiao was in a wretched state, his aura weak.

His courage instantly surged. ”That’s right! I don’t know how you escaped from my uncle, or how you got in here, but right now… you’d best surrender obediently and come with me to see my uncle!”

”Your uncle? Yanm Kuan?”

”That’s right!”

Seeing Yang Xiao ask, Yanm Xifeng wore a smug expression.

But Yang Xiao laughed. ”Your uncle’s soul has already been annihilated. You want to see him? Fine, I’ll fulfill your wish!”

As he spoke, Yang Xiao raised a hand and pointed a finger.

A terrifying beam of Finger Force shot out, piercing straight through Yanm Xifeng’s shoulder.

He cried out in pain.

”It hurts! You… how could you…”

”Oh, you’re not dead. My apologies, my aim was off. I’ll try again.”

Yang Xiao chuckled.

Seeing his eerie smile, both Qin Yan and Yanm Xifeng knew he was doing it on purpose.

It had to be on purpose.

Even injured, this man was far beyond what they could handle.

In that moment, a chill ran down both their spines.

If they had known, they wouldn’t have spoken so boldly.

Yanm Xifeng, in particular, had been born with a silver spoon in his mouth and cherished his life dearly. He opened his mouth, ready to beg for mercy.

But Yang Xiao’s second beam of Finger Force had already shot out.

It struck his other shoulder.

He screamed in agony once more.

”Hm? You can still scream? Looks like my aim was off again!”

Hearing this, Yanm Xifeng was terrified. He ignored his wounds and screamed, ”Agh! It hurts! Stop! Please, no more! I surrender! I beg you! You can’t kill me!”

”And why can’t I kill you?”

Yang Xiao looked genuinely puzzled.

But Yanm Xifeng shouted, ”My uncle is Yanm Kuan! And, you probably don’t know, but the ancestor of our Yanm Family—my great-grandfather—is still alive! He’s a Martial Saint, the number one expert in Medicine King Valley! If you kill me, he will definitely know, and he will hunt you down for revenge!”

”So, let me go, and I’ll convince my uncle not to take your fortuitous opportunities! How about it?”

Yanm Xifeng pleaded.

But Yang Xiao laughed. ”So that old bastard is your great-grandfather. In that case, I have even more reason to kill you. And besides, I already told you—your uncle, Yanm Kuan, is dead. I was the one who killed him. I’ve also met your great-grandfather. This body full of injuries is his gift to me. But once I get out of here, it will be his time to die!”

Finished speaking, he ignored Yanm Xifeng’s utterly astonished expression.

Yang Xiao pointed his finger again.

And killed him.

”I…”

As for Qin Yan, she had only managed to say a single word.

Before Yang Xiao raised a hand, pointed, and killed her with a single touch.

He would never be lenient with such a venomous woman.

Even if this woman was connected to Elder Yao.

She had to be killed.

Otherwise, who knows if she would just turn around and sell him out again?

”If you do wrong, you must bear the consequences.”

With a cold glance at the corpses on the ground, Yang Xiao waved his hand. Two balls of flame flashed into existence, destroying the bodies and all traces of them. Yang Xiao then walked deeper into the cave.
