Fated to My Billionaire Husband

After cleaning up everything, she took a shower, and Xiao Lang still hadn’t come back.

Li Mingxi lay on the bed, glanced at the alarm clock, it was already eight thirty.

She wanted to call him, but held back.

Suddenly, she heard the sound of the door opening. Li Mingxi was delighted, knowing that Xiao Lang was back.

Sure enough, in no time, Xiao Lang pushed open the bedroom door.

Meeting Li Mingxi’s eyes, he smiled and asked, ”Not asleep yet?”

”Just lay down. Where did you go?” Li Mingxi couldn’t help but ask him.

Xiao Lang walked over and sat beside her. Li Mingxi suddenly caught a whiff of perfume, a woman’s perfume.

This scent wasn’t unfamiliar to her; she had just smelled it on Wen Ning today.

Li Mingxi felt a pang in her heart, but she wasn’t someone who only got irrationally jealous.

”You went out with Wen Ning?” she asked, trying hard to keep her voice calm, though her expression wasn’t very pleasant.

Xiao Lang nodded, ”I didn’t want her to come in, so I just went out with her. Then I treated her to dinner, and she accidentally fell, so I took her to the hospital for a check-up. Just dropped her off, and I rushed back right away.”

Hearing his explanation, Li Mingxi felt much better inside.

She extended her finger and poked him in the chest.

”When she fell, did you carry her or piggyback her?”

Xiao Lang was stunned for a moment, ”I supported her while walking.”

”Alright, go wash up, I need to rest too.” Li Mingxi smiled slightly, having nothing more to ask.

Actually, she wasn’t worried at all about Xiao Lang and Wen Ning having anything.

If there was something between them, Xiao Lang would definitely be upfront with her and let her go.

She had a lot of trust in Xiao Lang’s character.

Xiao Lang got up and went to the bathroom to take a shower. While undressing, he suddenly caught the scent of perfume on his clothes.

Suddenly, he understood the meaning behind Li Mingxi’s questions.

Could it be she misunderstood him?

But then he thought, if she misunderstood him, it meant she cared, she was jealous.

Thinking this way, Xiao Lang felt in a much better mood again.

After showering, Xiao Lang went out wearing only boxers.

Li Mingxi was already curled up with her eyes closed.

Xiao Lang slipped under the covers, hugged her body, and couldn’t help but caress her a few times.

Li Mingxi was annoyed by his antics, ”What are you doing? Don’t you want people to sleep?”

Xiao Lang turned her body towards him, his dark eyes staring at her.

”Jealous?”

”What?”

”There’s nothing between Wen Ning and me.”

Li Mingxi instantly understood what he meant, she said with a laugh, ”I’m not jealous.”

”I know you’re jealous,” Xiao Lang said confidently.

Li Mingxi rolled her eyes at him, ”Why would I be jealous? Alright, stop it, I want to sleep.”

”It’s still early, don’t sleep so soon, let’s chat for a while.” Xiao Lang seemed a bit excited, insisting on dragging her along.

Li Mingxi turned her back to ignore him. As he pulled her back, she turned again, and he turned her back once more.

Li Mingxi compromised, ”What do you want to talk about? I don’t have anything to say.”

”How many days does your period usually last?” Xiao Lang asked, rubbing her lower abdomen, full of anticipation.

”Why are you asking this?”

”So that I can plan and prepare in advance,” Xiao Lang said suggestively.

Li Mingxi quickly understood what he meant; this man really couldn’t think of anything else.

”Is that all you’re thinking about?” she asked with a coquettish smile.

Xiao Lang admitted openly, ”What else would I be thinking about if not that?”
