Fated to My Billionaire Husband

To be honest, their feelings for each other make even him anxious on their behalf.

But he also understands that Li Mingxi definitely won’t accept Xiao Lang.

Li Mingxi’s personality is likely the kind that dares to love and hate decisively.

The fact that she avoids Xiao Lang can only indicate that she really has reasons why she can’t be with him.

Li Qian pondered and said, ”I think you should go treat him.”

Li Mingxi looked at him in surprise.

Li Qian said, ”Actually, no matter how much you distance yourself from him, he will never forget you. It’s better for you to spend more time with him while you are still unmarried.”

”Knowing that I can’t respond to him, yet still approaching him, isn’t that just hurting him?”

Li Qian smiled and said, ”From a moral standpoint, yes, that is true. However, from an emotional standpoint, you have not done anything wrong. He needs you, and you need him, why can’t you be together? Besides, rather than letting him suffer continuously, it’s better to give him a period of happiness.”

Li Mingxi couldn’t understand Li Qian’s thoughts.

”And then? When I leave him again, cut another wound into his heart?”

”I’m just advising you to treat him. You are a doctor, he is a patient, it’s only natural for a doctor to treat a patient. I am not asking you to accept him, or to do anything with him.

You must decide for yourself. Just do what lets you be at peace with your conscience.

As for Xiao Lang, if he really can forget you, he will forget you eventually. If he can’t, no matter how heartless you are, he won’t be able to forget.

Whether or not you get closer to him one more time doesn’t really make a difference.”

”...” Li Mingxi still did not agree with his ideas.

Li Qian pressed his lips and said, ”Let me give you an example of myself. Just like with Doudou’s mother, I can’t be with her, but I still have feelings for her.

However, that doesn’t stop me from taking care of her, I want to take care of her, and that’s all there is to it.

Regardless of whether it gets her more entangled or makes us both suffer more, I just want to take care of her when she’s in her most difficult times.

Because I can’t trust others with her care, I’d rather take care of her myself. Tell me, am I right?”

Li Mingxi’s eyes flickered, and she smiled, ”You live more simply than I do.”

Li Qian smiled slightly without saying anything.

His life isn’t simple either; he just doesn’t want to think about too many other things anymore.

”Go, he needs you now, you should take care of him. Don’t wait until later when you want to take care of him but have no chance.”

Li Qian’s words struck a chord with Li Mingxi’s heart.

Yes, in the future, she might not have a chance to care for him even if she wanted to.

”Alright.” Li Mingxi nodded.

Having made the decision, she felt a lot lighter in her heart.

...

Xiao Lang sat at the dining table, eating lunch.

The servant’s voice made him suddenly look up.

”Miss Li, you’ve come.”

”Where is Xiao Lang?” Li Mingxi asked.

”The young master is having a meal in the dining room.”

Li Mingxi entered the dining room and saw Xiao Lang sitting at the dining table, his eyes unfocused as he looked towards her.

He was wearing a loose white T-shirt, still holding a spoon in his right hand, and quite a bit of the food in his bowl had already been eaten.

Li Mingxi walked up to him, pulled out a chair, and sat down beside him.

”I’m here to treat you, if you still need it.” she said.

Xiao Lang put down the spoon, felt for a napkin with his hand, and wiped the corner of his mouth.

He didn’t immediately answer her question but picked up a glass of water to take a sip.

His movements were very skilled, almost as if he hadn’t lost his sight.

However, Li Mingxi knew that it was because he had become skilled at it.

He had lost his sight for several years before and had long since learned how to live normally when he couldn’t see.
