Fated to My Billionaire Husband

Capítulo 1868: Chapter 1868: Miss Mo, We’ve Caught the Man

This manor has always been managed by a man surnamed Wu.

He is the butler hired by the owner of the manor, over fifty years old this year.

Ruan Tianling quickly had Butler Wu called over and asked him directly if he had attempted to sneak into Mo Lan’s room last night.

Butler Wu was furious when he heard this: “Why would I do such a thing! Am I that kind of person? I feel very sorry about a thief sneaking into the manor. There were previous incidents of thieves trying to steal, but they were caught on surveillance and apprehended. This time, the thief avoided the surveillance, and I don’t know how he knew the locations of the surveillance cameras. I will cooperate with you to catch the thief, but you can’t wrongly accuse me. I definitely didn’t do it!”

Ruan Tianling asked him a few more questions and then let him go.

“It indeed wasn’t him,” he said to Jian Yufei and the others after Butler Wu left.

“Why?” Jian Yufei asked, puzzled.

Sitting next to them, Ansel laughed, “Because he doesn’t have the ability to climb to the second floor. He’s old, his body is stiff, and he lacks flexibility. Dad and I checked, and last night’s thief must have climbed up the pipes beside the balcony. Butler Wu simply couldn’t climb up to the balcony; he doesn’t have that agility.”

Ruan Tianling smiled and nodded, “Exactly, that’s it.”

Jian Yufei asked, amused, “How do you know he doesn’t have that agility?”

“Mum, those with some skill wouldn’t walk as heavily and stiffly as him,” Ansel said with a smile.

Jian Yufei ruffled his hair, “Alright, considered you analyzed it correctly. So who exactly was the thief last night?”

Ruan Tianling said calmly, “That person was either not an ordinary thief or someone very familiar with this place. In any case, he won’t be coming again, so everyone can be at ease.”

Mo Lan was still a bit frightened, “I don’t want to sleep in that room anymore.”

“Okay, change to another room.” Jian Yufei also agreed that she should change rooms.

It was too easy to climb up to that room, and it happened to be the room Mo Lan was staying in, truly very dangerous.

It was clear that the thief had targeted them.

He wanted to steal something, but with Jian Yufei and Ruan Tianling sharing a room, he couldn’t make a move.

And Ansel and Junqi are children, he assumed there wouldn’t be anything valuable in their rooms.

The easiest target was Mo Lan.

A lone woman, not much ability to resist, and she was dressed well, obviously wealthy.

As luck would have it, Mo Lan’s room was also easy to climb into, so it was natural that she was targeted.

However, that thief was really bold, daring to steal from them.

If he wasn’t caught, it would be fine, but if he was, there would be no good outcome for him.

…

Ruan Tianling tightened the security of the manor and secretly set up several surveillance cameras; now, only they knew the locations of the cameras.

Mo Lan was somewhat scared by these consecutive incidents and decided to sleep with Junchen and Junqi at night.

The next day, at Ruan Tianling’s suggestion, Mo Lan went out alone.

Since the opponent couldn’t make a move in the manor, they would likely try outside, right?

Mo Lan deliberately carried a handbag out, walked a long distance, and received Ruan Tianling’s voice in her miniature earpiece.

“Miss Mo, we’ve caught the person.”

Mo Lan turned back to see what the thief looked like, and the result—

Seeing a person standing among several bodyguards, tall and upright, with a cold, hard, and profound facial contour, Mo Lan became furious.
