Fated to My Billionaire Husband

Chapter 1793: Chapter 1793: I’ll Have a Child for You

Nangong Xu sat down beside her and said with a smile, “You don’t have to worry about Yufei. I’m only keeping her for a while. I’ll let her out later.”

Nangong Ruyue sneered, not believing his words.

Nangong Xu said, “Ruyue, don’t you understand? I’m keeping them because I don’t have full confidence yet. If we had a child, my child would surely inherit the family lineage. By that time, I wouldn’t fear them. Even if they’re alive, they pose no threat to me, so I’d naturally release them. Ruyue, today’s predicament is entirely your fault.”

Her fault?

Just because she wouldn’t bear him a child?

Nangong Ruyue didn’t even have the heart to mock him.

[Your condition to release them is for me to bear you a child?]

Nangong Xu curled his lips into a smile: “We are husband and wife. We should have a child. This child will be Yufei’s brother. I won’t harm her sister.”

[What if I don’t agree to your terms?]

“That’s fine, too. With no heir, it naturally can only be me.”

Would he kill them, leaving himself as the sole heir?

Nangong Ruyue felt a chill in her heart, [Nangong Xu, how did you become like this?]

Nangong Xu’s eyes were deep: “I became this way because I was forced. If you had accepted me back then, how would today have come to be!”

If she hadn’t been with Xiao Zexin and had been with him, then Jian Yufei would be their child.

He naturally wouldn’t do anything to his child.

“We were engaged since childhood; it was you who broke the engagement first!” Nangong Xu’s face was extremely cold and grim.

Nangong Ruyue showed no emotion: [I won’t be with someone who harmed my family members.]

Nangong Xu’s jaw tightened, “Then you will only lose more family!”

Nangong Ruyue’s expression was startled.

She lowered her eyes: [Fine, I agree to give you a child, but only as a test-tube baby. I can’t bear your touch. This is my final concession.]

Nangong Xu was stunned.

It seemed he didn’t expect her to agree.

Nangong Ruyue was no longer the young girl she used to be. Giving him a child hadn’t yet reached an unbearable extent.

She had become indifferent to matters like this.

“Ruyue, what did you say?” Nangong Xu asked uncertainly.

[I agree to give you a child. Are you satisfied?] Nangong Ruyue repeated calmly.

“Are you serious?”

Nangong Ruyue nodded: [But you must release Yufei and the others. Otherwise, I’ll take your child and die together.]

Nangong Xu suddenly smiled slightly: “Fine, as soon as there’s a child, I’ll release them immediately.”

Whether he would release her was uncertain.

However, she thought, having a child that belongs to him in her belly, she had one more bargaining chip to threaten him.

“I will arrange for the surgery as soon as possible.” Nangong Xu said.

Actually, he preferred to have the child himself, but he knew Ruyue wouldn’t agree. Having a test-tube baby was fine, since it would still be his child anyway.

***************

Junqi had already fallen asleep.

Jian Yufei sat by the bed, watching him sleep. She hesitated for a moment and reached out her hand.

She didn’t know how alert he was while asleep.

Perhaps because he had drunk some wine, Junqi was sleeping very soundly. Just as Jian Yufei’s hand touched his mask, she felt a sharp pain in her neck and fainted on the bed.

Junqi suddenly opened his dark eyes —
