Fated to My Billionaire Husband

Chapter 1752: Chapter 1752: The Plane Made Another Detour

She looked up and met his eyes coldly, even in failure, she showed no hint of panic.

[With you dead, only then can Yufei and the others be safe.]

Nangong Xu sneered, “I promised to let her go, and I will do it. You don’t believe me?”

Nangong Ruyue shook her head: [I don’t trust you, Nangong Xu. Your promises are never reliable. If you want to sit in the Family Head position, you will definitely make Ansel sit there first; otherwise, you’ll sit there without legitimacy.]

“I have my way to sit there. I don’t need to threaten them; I have other means!”

Nangong Ruyue slightly curled her lips in a mocking smile: [Your method will surely endanger them. Nangong Xu, no matter how you disguise yourself, I will never trust you.]

Nangong Xu’s jaw tightened, his gaze cold and sinister.

“So you’re pretending to agree to my demands, planning to kill me once Jian Yufei is safe?”

[Exactly, just a pity I didn’t kill you. You’ve been wary of me, haven’t you?]

Otherwise, you wouldn’t have reacted so quickly under such circumstances.

Her confusion was fake, his too…

They both didn’t trust each other, it was obvious.

Nangong Xu scoffed coldly: “Do I not know your kind of personality? You’d rather die than yield to me. From the day you agreed to my terms, I suspected you would make a move against me!”

Nangong Ruyue’s face suddenly changed dramatically.

[What have you done to Yufei?]

Since he already knew what she was thinking, he definitely wouldn’t let Jian Yufei go easily.

Nangong Xu leaned over, gripping her chin.

“I let her go, what else could I have done to her?”

[What exactly have you done to her?!] Nangong Ruyue asked anxiously.

Nangong Xu smiled coldly, “I’m not like you, breaking promises. I really let her go, the plane is very safe, there’s no one of mine on it. As long as she wants, she can return safely to A City. These are my true words, I didn’t lie to you.”

Nangong Ruyue still didn’t believe him. How could he let Jian Yufei leave so easily?

“Don’t believe? I’m telling the truth.”

Nangong Xu said with a light laugh.

Then, with a fierce expression, he struck her neck swiftly, and Nangong Ruyue immediately fainted into his arms.

Holding her body and stroking her face, Nangong Xu’s face was indistinct in the dim light.

He indeed kept his promise to let Jian Yufei go.

But that doesn’t mean Jian Yufei won’t come back on her own.

The plane had already been flying for seven hours, but three hours ago it changed course.

*****************

About four hours ago.

Jian Yufei sat on the private jet, staring blankly out the window.

This private jet was very luxurious.

There was a living room, bedroom, bar, and gym.

Jian Yufei sat on the bed in the bedroom, feeling somewhat conflicted.

Leaving her mother, she would soon be back with Ruan Tianling and Ansel.

She thought she would feel at least a bit happy, but she didn’t feel any joy; instead, she felt very calm.

“Knock, knock, knock—” Someone knocked on the door.

Jian Yufei turned her head and spoke, “Come in.”

A bodyguard pushed in a meal cart, “Miss Jian, it’s time to eat.”

“Thank you.” Jian Yufei smiled slightly.

The bodyguard smiled and said, “The plane has already left England’s airspace, rest assured, we’re very safe.”

“When will we arrive in A City?” Jian Yufei asked.

“We’ll probably arrive around midnight, in another seven or eight hours.”
