Fated to My Billionaire Husband

Chapter 1757: Chapter 1757 Detained

Ruan Tianling was stunned, his chest felt like a millennium-old volcano, with a feeling that it was about to erupt.

Nangong Xu had actually moved the child!

Did he know they were planning to rescue the child?

Ruan Tianling suddenly felt a chill spread through his limbs.

He immediately took out his phone and called Awei: ”Has the plane arrived yet?”

”Not yet.” Awei answered him.

It should still be a while before it arrives, Jian Yufei should be fine.

Everyone on board was Qi Ruisen’s people, no one could threaten her life. As long as the plane followed the designated flight path, there would be no problem.

”Keep guarding it, call me as soon as it arrives!”

”Yes!”

Just as Ruan Tianling hung up the phone, Qi Ruisen said to him with a worried look, ”I think something might have happened to them.”

Ruan Tianling was taken aback: ”Why?!”

”I have several missed calls on my phone. One of them was from one of my subordinates; he called me two hours ago, and by that time the plane hadn’t reached A City. I just tried calling back, but the phone was off.”

Qi Ruisen had just turned on his phone. Previously he had turned it off to prevent Nangong Xu from tracking him through a call, fearing he would find out about their plan to rescue the child.

Who knew that as soon as he turned on the phone, there would be missed calls from his subordinates. If he had known, he wouldn’t have turned it off.

Ruan Tianling rubbed his temples: ”Let’s go back to London first and investigate the plane’s route.”

At this point, no matter what happened, he couldn’t afford to lose his cool.

...

Ruan Tianling and the others quickly returned to London, heading to his headquarters there.

Through investigation, they discovered that the private plane, after flying for several hours, suddenly turned back.

Since calls couldn’t be made on the plane, no one informed them.

And the time the plane landed was exactly when Qi Ruisen received the missed call.

Why did they turn back, and why did Jian Yufei return to Nangong Castle?

Did something happen on the plane?

Ruan Tianling couldn’t find out anything.

He took out his signal-jamming watch, intending to locate Jian Yufei’s current position.

When he opened the watch, only one of the two red dots remained.

Jian Yufei’s watch signal had been blocked!

Something must have happened to her—

Qi Ruisen advised him not to worry just yet, saying he would go to find out more and notify him immediately with any news.

Ruan Tianling also wanted to go; he put on Anan’s mask again and went back to Nangong Castle with him.

...

Only after returning did they learn that Jian Yufei had shot and injured Nangong Xu and was now imprisoned.

Qi Ruisen frowned and said, ”It seems like we’re at a disadvantage now.”

”Why do you say that?” Ruan Tianling asked darkly.

At that moment, all he wanted to know was where Jian Yufei was being held. He was eager to get her out.

”To prevent internal strife, the Nangong Family has an ancestral rule: anyone who harms a family member is expelled from the genealogy, no longer considered part of the Nangong Family, and must be severely punished. Yufei intended to shoot and kill Nangong Xu and left surveillance footage of it, so she is already guilty of harming a family member. Nangong Xu has the absolute right to detain her, and no one will object.”

Ruan Tianling’s expression was dark and ominous.

”Did Nangong Xu set her up to shoot?!”

Qi Ruisen nodded: ”Definitely. With Nangong Xu’s skills, how could she have possibly injured him? She thought Nangong Xu was drunk and defenseless, but she fell right into his trap. Actually, I explained this ancestral rule to Yufei before; she must’ve forgotten.”
